We hadn’t realised it was a Britannia owned hotel when we booked as they have had some bad publicity recently and were a bit concerned. However the registration was a quick efficient friendly process which included opening a tab. Our room on the 4th floor was spacious with two beds and modern stylish furniture. We had lots of room and a sliding door to a small balcony with stunning sea views. A bathtub left room for a fair size bathroom which was clean and everything worked. We had booked a “run of house “ deal and were very satisfied

upon arrival there was a que to check in, only 1 person on reception, the room-429 was dirty( not hoovered, heavy dust everywhere), went straight back to ask for housekeeping to reclean, but 3pm!! there was no housekeeping anymore.the girl did not even want to listen my complain, offered me room move.205 was the same condition, not hoovered, dusty, chewgum on pillow case, cobwebs around window, chemical just wiped off with cloth in the bathroom without washed down, spoons and glasses dirty and so on.Did not went back again to complain, as both room were in the same stage, so i beleive this is the status of cleanliness of the all hotel( corridors not hoovered either) and it was only 1 night. My baby was not allowed to crawl on the floor, i bought bathroom cleaner and cleaned the bathroom by myself so at least we could bath my baby. Parking is on site-£8/24 hours, wifi 20 min free otherwise £7.it could be such a good, stylish hotel, such a shame of its condition.

Nice place, perfect for a one night stay near the water. Hotel also offers 24hr parking permit outside hotel for £1 which I thought was a nice touch.

Hotel has a lovely reception, bar area, library and dining area with high ceilings. Breakfast was good. Staff were very friendly. Great location on the sea front. Biggest let down was we paid for a sea view and the windows were filthy which spoilt the view quite a bit. But otherwise we had a nice stay.
Lovley hotel, friendly staff and so close to beach ”
We got singed in by Joel and we booked though booking.com and it said we booked for 2 adults but we had a 1 year old so he went and found us a bed for her. Lovley service, Gorgeous hotel and location was fab

Reception not patient and seem not welcome Guests. Impolite is the key that I don’t recommend. Even they didn’t pickup call for their “0” reception number. Ask for repair service of their poor air conditioner, it tooks 3 hours with the engineer. Porter even longer to take when I made a first call to request separate the bed. POOR POOR POOR hotel. I think they should not open the hotel as it was completely NO service. I highly don’t recommend this hotel and never never to stay there again. Even I travel to Eastbourne 2-3 times every year.
Seafront rooms are huge”
Great location, parking limited, no aircon but they do supply fans, breakfast is just about ok, ran out of eggs and bacon 30mins before end of service. I'd suggest eating locally for a lot less plus it boosts local trade.
Paid over £100 per night for room only with sea view room down a side road so no direct view double bed very small macerator in all rooms on our landing so your woke up in night when someone goes to the toilet booked as four star hotel but in my opinion it is probably a two star maybe three at best no toilet paper in room on one occasion and toiletries were not refreshed every day. Very very disappointing
we did not get breakfast- not even with paying a supplement. Even though there was a breakfast room and we had breakfast confirmed by the travel agency.
The hotel was in a great position. but we had to upgrade, as the room Agoda put forward was awful, very small, stuffy and could not open window. But the kindly receptionist gave us a much better room with little cost.

Excellent location. Hotel has 2 parts. Old half and newly renovated half. They feel like completely different hotels in terms of amenities. Ask for a room in the newly renovated half. Rooms have better wifi and are much cleaner. Would only recommend this hotel if in one of the newly renovated rooms.

Before staying in the cheaper option, think again.. I suggest paying a little more for a room with a window. Otherwise the room is in the basement with no aircon, fan (or window). We had to sleep with the front door ajar just to encourage the meagerest of drafts to come in. Not a bad hotel at all, but being established for as long as they have, you would think each room would of been thought about and furnished accordingly, not just the more expensive ones.
