Lovely old hotel with very warm and helpful staff. Nice place to stay with lovely gardens. Bathroom in bedroom is a bit old needing replacement at this stage but not unpleasant & working fine. However for a five star bathroom should be better. Otherwise the hotel is very pleasant. It is a long way out from Thamel the tourist area but is a very relaxing place. If your congress is in this hotel I would definitely stay again

Lovely property, Clean and friendly staff. I stayed there during wedding season I guess, lot of events happening which was a slight inconvenience (all the loud music and pool taken over)

Check-in was swift Additional bed was quickly provided The clear and transparent corner window between the bathroom and bedroom albeit loosely obscured with wooden blinds was immediately made opaque by hammering a towel over at our request by the housekeeping staff whose name I did not take at the time (short, dark skinned with small moustache on duty on 20 Dec at approx. 6pm) Breakfast had a good variety of food and we never suffered any medical ailments Customer service was particularly impressive with all staff going the extra mile especially Ms. Sudana (apologies if incorrect) who catered for all our needs during check out and between check out and when we had to eventually left the hotel several hours later Check-out was swift Only down side was I felt the NPR3300 one way hotel to airport drop off in a Renault Duster was excessive when we had arrived to the hotel from the airport in a spacious Suzuki for NPR900.

The facilities and room are nice. Food is above average and can be improved. The hotel is a bit away from airport and commute can take long in peak traffic. Special mention for staff who are really nice and helpful.

Crowne Plaza, Soaltee”
Not good. The pool was out of action. No one helped us to our rooms so we didn't know how to use the card keys - others were complaining.The fridge and TV in my companions room did not work and he had to change rooms at 11.30pm.We missed the first night because of a plane cancellation - and given our dissatisfaction, I think we should be compensated. The rooms were not as clean as they could have been.Despite the fact that it was pre-paid, when I checked out for both rooms I was told that I had to pay for the accommodation - took a while for this to be sorted.I would never stay there again and neither would my friend. We had to get a taxi to the Hyatt to use their pool and we had to pay to use it - the Crowne Plaza did not offer us any alternative. I would be gratefu if customer support would contact me as we would like to make an official complaint

Soaltee-charming yet upgradable”
The intent of our trip was a walk down memory lane, so that was successful. The hotel still has its old charm & I must commend staff efforts who made our short stay more enjoyable. Room standards can certainly be better for the price, with better amenities-gym, spa, internet, etc. That said--we will return.

Clean Room, nice surroundings, no free internet”
There was no doubt that though slightly ageing the rooms were kept extremely tidy and clean, staff were nice and lots of choices for eating. Downside - everything was overpriced..by a great deal. As a business woman i chose the Club Room to ensure i was able to get all internet facilities. This is the case at ALL hotels i have stayed at...but not at this one. Internet had to be paid for EVERYWHERE in the hotel, there wasn't even a coffeeshop or restaurant where internet could be accessed for free. It was USD7 per hour!!!!! or USD16 for 24 hours and when you did join it was poor - barely if any work was able to be done on the internet at this hotel. Absolute disappointment...especially when i paid 220USD a night for the room. No internet and when i queried this and the fact my breakfast was NOT included the staff added the breakfast in for free (a great buffet breakfast i will add). The Club room which i did have access to was good, between 1730-1930 drinks and lovely snacks in here were free. The Club room staff were helpful and friendly too. The only staff which weren't so friendly were reception but i gathered that they constantly got complaints re the internet so i think this might be just their defences going up. Again nice staff, clean hotel but shame on you Crown Plaza for exorbitant prices and no free internet!

very good hotel and the room was very clean. Staffs were also very friendly and they greeted us everytime we came across each other. However, I would suggest that wifi should be free for all areas because so many people stay here and we need to be able to access internet.
