Nice stay - as always! Recommended!”
Early check-in. Comfortable beds. No noise (twin room on Floor 7). Excellent receptionist. Modern shower facilities (without a platform, but with a tightly-closing glass door separating the shower area from the rest of the bathroom). Huge mirrors. Two armchairs and a simple chair in front of a desk - in a twin room! Fine location: 15 min of leisurely walking to the RR terminal (never believe those sportsmen telling you about 3 min:))). Tokman clothes and food store nearby, at the corner. Budget buffet meals in the nearby metro station (c. 10 euro), - various cuisines. No a/c. High thresholds on the floor for you to stumble over every time you go the bathroom and back:)) On weekdays, the breakfast is till 9.30 :((( - simple, but sufficient. And their buffet lunch is only till 2pm...

Budget hotel in great location”
It was a 500 meters walk from the Helsinki Railway station and is bang in the middle of everything. The hotel was not the greatest, but the staff was friendly and I did not really face any issues.

My wife told me that she has a terrible experience during our stay in this hotel. When my wife was using toilet at ground floor, a female cleaner is anxious to finish her work. She knock at the toilet door heavily, complaining that my wife has been using the toilet for all day long, even though my wife just enter a few minites ago. When my wife came out, the cleaner looked at my wife with impolite eyes, and pretend to vomit. All the behaviour from the cleaner make us feel uncomfortable. Beyond that, when I was waiting for my wife outside, I have to sit at the hotel restaurant which is close to toilet, because the lobby is too small and it was full of guests. However, the staff expelled me out from the restaurant as the restaurant is closed. I was so inconvenient and I had to wait standing out side the hotel.

The windows are old and there is no air conditioning, only provided fan for ventilation. Breakfast is provided. Location is the worst, far away from the central station and is up slop.

Great hotel close to public transport”
We found everything perfect at this hotel. The location is great to hop on the metro and is near the main train station. The hotel is well organised and even gave us breakfast boxes the last morning because we left before the restaurant opened. Will definitely be back again and highly recommend staying at this hotel.

Stayed in Room 417, a Triple Room. PROS: Hotel Arthur is perfectly positioned within walking distance to Senate Square, Kallio, and multiple public transportation stations. The room was very spacious and had ample shelf space for belongings - not only in the closet, but also along the long window sill. There were multiple outlets in the room and individual wall lights placed above each bed, which was helpful when one guest wanted to sleep but another wanted to read. The hotel felt very secure, given that a room key was required to enter each floor hallway. Breakfast was served from 6:30am-10:00am Monday through Friday and 7:30am-11:00am Saturday through Sunday. The breakfast buffet was delicious and diverse. There were typical American foods like eggs and bacon served alongside traditional Finnish foods like karjalanpiirakka (Karelian pies). At check-in, the staff advised us to arrive at breakfast before 9:00am to avoid the crowds. Take their advice and arrive early… because breakfast gets more crowded the later you go! There was complimentary instant coffee and tea bags upon request at the reception - the limit is one per guest per day. CONS: My biggest complaint about Hotel Arthur was that there was NO HAND SOAP in the room, which felt very unsanitary. There was only a dispenser of 2-1 conditioning shampoo and shower gel fixed to the wall in the shower. Also, our mobile devices would disconnect from the Wifi every time we left our room floor (to go to the lobby, for example). We were unable to automatally connect to the Hotel Arthur network and ended up having to type in the Wifi password every time.

Good value for money ”
Good (though not luxurious) hotel in the city centre, close to the university and railway station. There are some minor issues with the cleanliness, the elevators, and there is no hotel parking (the parking garage entry just next door sets you up for a very long walk back to the hotel) but I certainly had much worse rooms for a lot more money - and the breakfast buffet more than compensates for anything! All in all: can recommend!
