I've been to different hotels in different countries; all I can say is that this hotel stands out. From the airport pick up (as first timer in nepal, you wouldn't want to get your first steep taxi price), the spacious room, and to the staff and their service. Everything was very good, great value for your money. Not for the posh type, but for the travellers who wants comfort and service meets budget. We booked a deluxe room (request for the 6th floor room), fairly big enough considering their affordable rates. The room has the best view of the mountains, a very nice comfy king-size bed, complete amenities, and even a tub. It was all clean and well maintained. The service was also amazing, all staff were friendly and very helpful (receptionist Sonu, wait staff Heera and Rajesh) serving good breakfast. And the owner (Mr. Tirta) was friendly and approachable. The hotel's location is in the heart of Thamel, shops, and restaurants nearby. Overall, its worth coming back in this hotel.

Excellent Hospitality ”
I booked this place for my sister. I reached out to hotel’s email regarding recommendation letter for tourist visa. Mr Basu helps us get the letter in two days. Before my sis gets there, the hotel responds all the questions very promptly. My sis ends up staying one month there and front desk is very accommodating to all the needs within very short time esp Mr Basu. Hotel is in a very central place and everything is nearby. The rooftop has views over mountains. The room is also clean and nice.

We only had one nights at this amazing hotel Nepalaya. The staff is super friendly and helpful . Room The rooms are huge with floor to window ceilings and amazing views of downtown Kathmandu. The quality of service is really good .roof top terrace is amazing view and beautiful garden with flours .The breakfast was of good quality. We are looking forward to visit you guys again. Great place to stay in Kathmandu ”
The hotel is just simple and small but it’s just right in the Thamel center where you can find everything you need to buy , eat and see. Very close to many places that all tourist want to visit while in Kathmandu. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast just simple but the chefs will always what ever you order

My stay at Hotel Nepalaya was so nice. It is located in central Thamel ( biggest tourism hub of Nepal) and provide good room service, staffs are so nice, view from Nepalaya rooftop restaurant was fabulous. Thanks for your hospitality

Great hotel Thamel area.”
This hotel really great and situated center of Thamel area. This hotel situated few meter from mainroad and this one make this hotel so peacefull. Really value for money. Room really nice but no have hot water. Staffs in resturant really helpfull. Simple breakfast but good. Have free airport transfer.

Amazing Hotel Staff ”
This was my second stay at Hotel Nepalaya. The staff is amazing. They're friendly and accommodating. I especially appreciate Mr. Basu Rimal for his expertise on booking my other travel plans. The hotel has comfortable beds and a delicious breakfast.

I had the opportunity to be in contact with Mr Kamal prasad Rimal,sales manager,NEPALAYA HOTEL , kathmandu in recent past.I never came across such a sober,helpful,friendly to unknown tourist like me in my whole life.He helped me like my brother without any prejudice,greed or business man like behaviour at a place completely unknown to me.Hotel NEPALAYA is an excellent budget hotel in a premium location with all amenities and services of staff.The rooftop restaurant has a class of its own,and the restaurant supervisor is very professional .Food at the restaurant is reasonably priced,of exceptional taste,fresh and hygienic.I will always recommend people visiting nepal to avail of the facilities of this unparallel budget hotel.

Highly recommended hotel especially for those who prefer to be in center of town but not want the noise. We had a very good nights sleep; hot showers everyday, fresh towels too. If you like a hotel with a yogashala or if you have your own personal yoga practice, they have a very clean yoga studio on the ground floor complete with mats,blocks. The staff are helpful. The breakfast was really delicious, we would have it on the roofdeck . Order the Nepali Puri breakfast, it’s this flaky bread with delicious curry. Very filling! The nice add on is the free airport transfer! Great job to Hotel Nepalaya!

I was there for 2 weeks for my professional exam, and all my stays at hotel went well. Hotel is located in excellent location so major tourist attractions, visa application centre and restaurants of various food cultures are within walking distance. Highly recommend!
