Polite, professional staff in all areas. Lovely breakfast and room spacious and clean. Noise level (above train line - 7th floor) was fine - even with window open at night. Location good for metro and train (Sintra line that also stops at main coach/bus station at Sete Rios for excursions). Walked back from Terreiro do Paco which took around 45mins (approx 4.5km) - although public transport is good value on day tickets/Lisboa cards. Hoping to book again soon!
Simply the best!”
Hotel was super! The room was clean, big, not noisy, (but it was not from the street side) and the breakfast was unbelievable for such of price: fresh fruits, pasteis de data, jelly, pancakes and many more. Staff very friendly and helpful. It was my best hotel in Lisbon ever and I was at tis city more than 20 times. Maybe it is not exactly the city center but the metro station is 5 minutes from hotel so it is not problem. I can only recommend...
great hotel with deceiving external look”
The hotel look old and run down from outside, but surprisingly, almost everything is great.Great air-condition for the hot summer, very spacious room, nothing to complain except the shower head pressure is mysteriously low and mini fridge is not cold. overall good location n easy to move around. breakfast is also good.
Must be back next time”
This hotel is situated at a very convenient location, right next to metro station. Hotel staffs are very helpful; porters are very attentive, helping hotel guests to off load baggage. Room size was 240 sq ft., with maple flooring, clean and comfortable. The luggage rag could fit in two pieces of luggage together. Hotel breakfast was served in the grand room at the basement, with plenteous supply of food. Convenient and inexpensive shuttle service provided to hotel guests to and from the airport.
Range of Possible outcomes”
VALUE: this is complicated calculation--you need the whole story to appreciate the nuances. We booked a standard double for about 95 euros. When we arrived, the front desk was pretty busy. They told us they did not have the room set up as a double yet, but if we went there the housekeeper would come and fix it soon. Then they gave us a key and waved toward the elevator, although we have baggage and my leg was injured. Eventually, at the end of a long dim corridor, we find our room. A minute later, another couple comes to the door; they've been given keys to the same room! So we call the desk, and they admit the mistake, but want us to move. So I'm going to hike the long way back to the front, again, on my bad leg? My wife makes the trek to the front desk and explains that I'm injured. They say they can prepare a room closer to the lift (so, less walking), but want us to come down and wait in the bar "for a few minutes." We wisely refuse to give up our resting place--this is around 2 pm, and I lie down for a nap. The new room is finally ready at 4! But then, they do send a bellhop to help with the bags and show us in. They have given us a huge suite, specially equipped for handicapped persons. Very comfortable, although still no double bed. Since this suite must rent, normally, for 300 euros or so, I have to say we got good value, in the end. But it took some fierce negotiation to get there. FOOD: Fruit and cheese from room service was great; breakfast buffet very good. We also made good use of the spacious lobby and luggage storage service.
Good location and breakfast”
Good location close to metro, train, buses, supermarket, self service laundry. Easy to get to downtown and airport. Friendly efficient staff, clean rooms, great breakfast. Stayed twice - first time had newer room which was quiet and pleasant not facing road. We were on 3rd floor and part of tour group. Second time we stayed we had older room with old noisy air con on the side room beside the railway line - noisy and very hot room so try to avoid that side. Had to wear earplugs. Our room was on 1st floor and we’d booked independently so may be better on higher floors. We had asked for quiet room and was assured it was quiet but.... Hotel kindly stored some luggage for a few days between visits. We paid 77 AUD a night for second independent stay which was cheaper end - probably why we got cheaper quality room.
The hotel is really nice”
We stayed two nights here ,everything is good. Room is very big . It is very close to subway station . The breakfast is fabulous. For the price we payed , worth it!
My favourite hotel”
Very good location, short taxi ride from the airport, opposite train/metro station, 10 min away from Centre by underground. The breakfast is very good, bed clean and comfortable . There is also a good reasonably priced restaurant in the hotel and the bar is open till 1am. Free wi-fi throughout. I thoroughly recommend .
My experience at The Roma Hotel”
Having spent only 2 nights at the Roma Hotel I was impressed with the quality of the service. The reception staff were very professional and competent. The room cleaners were brilliant and the chamber maid I saw was very friendly. The place was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was brilliant. Plenty to choose from. We had a meal in the restaurant one night and it was really enjoyable and good value. I especially liked the service provided by our waiter Manuel. Overall a very pleasurable stay. Thankyou!
nice hotel for a decent price”
We stayed here the night before my parents returned to the US, the hotel was clean and comfortable. We didn't have a problem finding it and it was close to the airport. The staff wasn't super friendly, but it was fine. The breakfast was good. I was disappointed because they advertised a pool but when we got there the sign said it was closed Mondays and then the rest of the week only in the evening.
Staff were very helpful dealing with the airline to retrieve my lost bag, and in arranging for a rental car. Thank you to all.
Room is big & clean”
Hotel near metro station ROMA, room is big and clean. Value for money.
A decent hotel stay”
The room was clean; the hotel was located not too far from the Roma metro station (maybe 5 minutes walk) and also closer to Lisbon airport than those hotels downtown; it was in a quieter area (which I preferred); a small supermarket was just aroundthe corner; the breakfast spread was adequate but you need to avoid the rush of tour groups because there weren't enough seats; there were basic toiletries provided (and yes, I got a small bar of soap and bath gel with no dispenser on the wall); the staff were mainly friendly (except for a select few). However, one of the lifts would not work properly and it was taking a long time to come around.
Good location and affordable ”
We are a couple with two young children and it is not easy to find a hotel with large rooms like we found here. More than enough space for the four of us. The room was confortable although with an old decoration. It was also clean. The staff of polite. The breakfast was also good. The location is excellent since from the hotel is easy to go the any place in Lisbon.
SImple overnight Stay”
+ Soundproof rooms - Be sure to Arrive at least 30 minutes before breakfast closes.
very good breakfast. 1 min to metro station”
Carpark a bit inconvenient as it needs the porter to open the gate. Space inside is tight too.
We are fully satisfied ”
We hope come and again to this hotel Roma
I have been here several times and f anything, it must be that Breakfast area is a bit to small when many guests as we have to wait in line and feel we need to hurry eating
Close to the airport (only 10minutes by taxi), big rooms and extremely clean. Great and helpful staff. Maybe only the breakfast buffet was lacking more variety of fresh fruits.
Estive nesse hotel por 3 dias, ADOREI, pessoal muito simpático, bom pequeno almoço, limpeza excelente, quartos grandes, Recomendo..
