Leuk kleinschalig hotel”
Prima hotel. Wij hadden een kamer aan de achterzijde. Heerllijk rustig
Good location and perfect staff”
Staff are very helpful and kind; location is perfect just the price is a bit hight for the small room
Worst Customer Experience Ever”
If you want a hotel that is not accommodating, not customer centric, and does not make sense, this is the hotel for you. I was charged a full night’s fee of EUR 95 for “late check out” despite having my belongings moved out of the room in the afternoon (to make way for another guest) AND I was not even offered a room for the night (because they have no more rooms). I was willing to pay a late check out fee of EUR 30 (fees according to their website) but that was non-negotiable because they were not willing to listen to the customer’s side of the story. Essentially, they are charging full night’s fee TWICE for ONE room, for the same night, from two guests - with one obviously not getting the room. In addition, they have not been responsive to my concerns in person and on email despite trying to reason with them with logic. If you encounter something that may not work out for you in this hotel, good luck to you because they will tell you “there is nothing we can do”
The bed is cozy but the location is hard to find
Nice view next to the canal and they offer bike rental.
Good location, nice decoration”
Modern nice hotel , need to walk a bit to be in the center , but very near by.
Well located with great staff”
A well priced hotel for the location, with very good service.
Fantastic location in quite part of city, but still only 5 to 10 minute walk to attraction areas
Good Value for money”
Don't expect a fancy upscale four star hotel. It's a cheap nice little hotel really close to the Geneva Fountain. A little old interior. Nice and friendly reception. Small elevator. It's a good value for the money. Was satisfied. Location is the key for this hotel.
Nice small but very central hotel”
We arrived with car, despite listed that car park was available we realized this was by parking either at avilable slots in the adjacent public road for 60 euro per day, or in parking houses to 30 euro per day. We selected this hotel for the car park and break gast included, so was disappointed to learn the car parking was wrongly informed. Breakfast area is very small and can not accomodate all during rush hours, so waiting time must be expected.
Comfy clean quiet location”
We rented the double single room which was very clean and had an airy feel and a great view to the canals and some plants outside the window. We had a very good rest in the room and the location near to rijksmuseum and rembrandt place. It is not so near to the touristy alleys/shopping places nearer to amsterdam centraal. The staff was excellent though, very friendly, professional and helpful. Not sure why there is no hairdryer in the room, but i didnt have time to ask as we only stayed for one night. Overall it was a pleasant stay, and very good value!
Very good location but small rooms”
The hotel is very well located close to two tram lines and within walking distance to the museum quarter. The rooms are very small but the staff are friendly and helpful. Would stay here again
The room was rather small located on the top floor and rather airless.”
There were very limited facilities provided in the room.
Location great.. The hotel itself although close to tourists attractions, it sits along a quiet n peaceful area.Room was very comfortable n clean. ”
stay in amsterdam”
staff at hotel was helpful, provided alot of information on nearby attractions.
small room and farr from bus or metro”
Realy small rooms if you have bags far from bus , metro or not if you have money for pay 10 time more for taxi. Hotel was clean and staf was profesional.
Neat hotel in great location with friendly staff”
Well-located, not right among the tourist-traps but still within easy walking or tram distance to everything. Excellent gourmet restaurant Zinc virtually next door, as well as some good bars and cafes. Staff is very friendly, and breakfast is of good quality and variation, not only sugary pastries as is often encountered on the continent.
Relax in a quiet courtyard in central Amsteram”
My reason for choosing the Hampshire Hotel on Prinsengraacht was a combination of price for a single bedroom with ensuite facilities but also within close walking distance the Van Rijks and Van Gogh museums. The hotel lived up to my expectations from those two points, always remembering that a single room in Amsterdam is going to be quite small - quite similar to a hotel room in Japan. In the event it exceeded my hopes by having a very pleasant quiet rear courtyard to relax and enjoy a cold beer, and a smoke if one wanted, and the self service buffet breakfast provided an excellent choice of quality foods. Amsterdam in the tourist season is quite an expensive place. This small hotel offers pretty fair value for money.
There was a mixup with our booking, and this on the busiest weekend in Amstredam! This was however quickly and elegantly sorted, and we had a lovely stay at the hotel, will defiantly be back. Top location away from the madness around 'Central', and very close to the Rijks which is simply amazing.
