Great place if you looking for retreat ”

no food but there is a kitchen so, can cook by ourself. The good things about place - very remote, quiet, and only 5 or 6 buildings. No good ... after New Year new owner rose prices... 500-600 THB fair price what is over... you can look in the area for alternatives

Very good quality resort in the middle of nature”

Booked on my business trip to Hua Hin. Was looking for something like that. I did not want to stay in the city or crowded place so, booked this one. It is quite away from the main road but, it was the point. I was expecting something very simple but, it wasn't. Very good quality resort in the middle of nature, retreat if you wish. I will definitely sty there on my next visit to Hua Hin

Value of money. Room is cleanliness and big. Location is not good for traveller without own car as the remote place, but luckily they have rented bicycle. To santorini park about 4km and cha-am premium outlet is about 6-7km, is quite far. Should give an advice is don't come back the guest house at night, since there are dogs around will chase you.

Beautiful atmosphere ”

The location of the Resort it's quite far from the beach but no problem for driving person only 4 Kilometers from resort to the beach. We are very enjoy at the swimming pool after check in. Very speed for Wi Fi. So disappointed for breakfast nothing to energy

Fantastic experience in Cha am, the location was very private and allowed me to chill out around the pool with easy to the bar. Great host and the two dogs who greated me every morning made me feel lik I was at home.

Delightfully quiet retreat”

My room (with bathroom / WC next door in the main house) was comfortable - when I pointed out that the ceiling fan did not work, a standard table fan was immediately brought to supplement or to use instead of the air conditioning. I went to Thai Bamboo as it is a naturist-friendly place - but only one other couple there (their last day = my first day) and the other visitors were primarily families with children ... so at times it was not proper to sunbathe or swim when the kids were around. At other times it was fine - and very pleasant. The owners and staff are helpful and friendly, but the guesthouse location is quite remote - a car or motorbike are really necessary to get around with any ease. Two friendly dogs live at the guesthouse and make it even more homely.

Lovely place, great service, Rudi Is the best host”

This is the fourth time I have visited Thai Bamboo, I cannot find fault with this little piece of paradise. Rudi always does everything he can to make guests welcome and feel like family, he is a great host. I like the location as it is close enough to Cha Am if you want to go out for food or drinks, Hua Hin is a taxi ride away if you want a change of scenery. Thai visitors from Bangkok sometimes come for the weekend to enjoy the liberation of being able to enjoy the naturist benefits offered here, be prepared as you may see people wandering around in their birthday suits but this isn't a problem unless you perceive it as such. All in all I cannot recommend Rudi's place enough.

Nice place, but an unpleasant experience”

Thai Bamboo Guesthouse is quite isolated from the beach and nearby towns. This wasn't a problem for us, initially, as we looked forward to some peace and quiet. We didn't fancy cycling home in the dark or paying high taxi fares home from town every night, so evenings were spent either in the bungalow or at the bar with the owner. This was fine for a couple of days, though we were limited to pot noodles from the small local shop for dinner, or left-overs from lunch we'd had out during the day. However, things became uncomfortable when the owner's internet date arrived to stay for 4 or 5 days. With no-one else around and nowhere to go, we’d end up at the bar with them, sitting through many awkward silences. They’d both often make complaints about the other. One evening the owner offered to drive us to dinner, along with the girl. Since we were fed up with our usual options we went along to a restaurant with them. A very awkward experience, and once we got back the owner left us with his date at the bar and disappeared. The next morning we noticed that he had decided to add a full taxi fare onto our tab for the trip to the restaurant (to which he'd invited us and not mentioned a 'fee'). Also, he was nowhere to be found despite having agreed to take us to Hua Hin in the afternoon. The girl was still home but eventually got picked up by a friend and left. We were then left alone in the property for the whole day and night, main building wide open! We couldn’t even contact the owner to hire a moped to get out somewhere. He returns the next day saying he stopped out for a drink and didn't return. On top of this, we were experiencing frequent power cuts which left us in darkness and also total loss of wi-fi, which is very important for us and was one of the facilities advertised. We decided to leave 6 nights early as we felt totally unhappy and uncomfortable with the situation. Rudi has refused to refund us for any of those nights.

had to pay 300thb the owner never picked us up on arrival, then i was informed that we had to pay extra for breakfeast they only served small breakfeast, would never stay again even if they paid me, and a thai lady walking around grounds this is not acceptable.

Quiet, relaxing, friendly retreat”

we highly recommend rudi's resort, thai bamboo, for those seeking a quiet holiday in a genuine thai neighborhood. this is not a 'party resort'. it is perfect for those who want to be quiet and contemplative and enjoy the birds and wonderful flora that rudi has planted. you can be as active or inactive as you like at thai bamboo. there are bikes available so you can cycle into cha'am for great seafood, or you can just sit by the pool all day!

Absolut ruhige Lage, aber sehr schwierig zu finden”

Gut! Leider ist nicht immer jemand dort und man muss die Besitzer telefonisch suchen. Schwierige Anreise, man muss sich durchfragen (ohne Thaisprachkenntnisse vermutlich noch ziemlich schwierig...) Rudi und seine Partnerin sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, sowie der Gärtner auch (spricht aber nur Thai). Eigenes Fahrzeug empfehlenswert. Velos gibts gratis zum Benützen, würde jedoch damit nicht unbedingt bis nach Cha Am fahren wollen - nur schon wegen dem thailändischen Verkehrsstil... ;-) Kleiner Shop in der Nähe sonst kaum Verpflegungsmöglichkeiten. Im Resort gibt's nur Frühstück - kein Abendessen.

Ankommen und wohlfühlen.”

sehr angenehm und erholsam. Wir haben uns so wohlgefühlt, das wir für unsere Rücktour nochmals 2 Nächte dort verbringen. Wer Ruhe in einer schönen Gartenanlage mit Pool sucht ist hier richtig.
