Stunning Hotel”

No 5 is a hotel located in a quiet street 5 minutes from seafront in Port Elizabeth. It is an absolutely stunning hotel with the most beautiful rooms. It is art deco themed and stuffed with fantastic furniture pieces and amazing works of art. We stayed in the suites situated across the road and we were absolutely delighted with the spacious, luxurious accommodation. We also had dinner and breakfast there, both of which were delightful. Highly recommended.

Villa Suite sharing a pool, Living room, kitchen with 2 other Rooms. as there were no other guests for this night, we had the whole Villa for ourselves, ordered in-room Dining and felt like locals in our superb home. Staff was very friedly at breakfast too. But although only 3 tables were taken at breakfast, very very slow service, buffet not really big and parts of things (Special cheeses) empty. everything else, perfectly fine.

Gem of a hotel deserving of the word "boutique"”

We were delighted by No5 Boutique Art Hotel in every way, especially the original and thoughtful layout and decor. It would be lovely to have the opportunity to return in the future.

Short but excellent”

We had a great time in this hotel, although we only stayed there for 1 night on our way to shamwari game reserve. The rooms are comfortable and share a large lounge and dining area annex pool (villa suites), the gym is well equipped, we had a great breakfast and we will definitely come back to this hotel and stay a bit longer

Brief Overnight Stay”

We stayed very briefly overnight after seeing family locally - we did not use many of the hotel's facilities but the room was clean, felt luxurious and comfortable, the breakfast was tasty and well-serviced and the porters were very helpful. The gate is tricky to open from the outside when you first arrive but otherwise it's great.

Great place and great service ”

The team were incredibly helpful and attentive and looked after us so well. The rooms are lovely, food excellent and in a great location.

Not all villa suites are the same”

Where do I begin: there was just too many things that was not up to par with a 5 star hotel. Upon arrival and being shown to our 2 villa suite rooms, we found out that one of the rooms was significantly smaller with a smaller bed as well. After talking to the staff to complain about the differing bed size (they were both supposed to be king size), they refused to believe that one of the beds was smaller. I had to get the manager to come see the bed physically for him to believe, all the while being very uncooperative and rude. If you plan to stay here in the villa suites, make sure to avoid suite as you still get charged the same amount as the other spacious room. The most disturbing part about our 2 night stay at this hotel was that the manager had the worst attitude and was reluctant to help. When we were calmly addressing our problem with the 2 rooms that were given, he responded by raising his voice and shouting that there's nothing that can be done and that nobody has EVER complained about the 2 significantly different villa suites. The service during breakfast was terrible the 2nd morning when said manager was assisting. He didn't greet us nor the other guests upon arrival, and had to be called over several times for basic things such as utensils that were not set up on the table and for refills at the continental breakfast. The receptionist was much more cooperative and put on a smile, but I am still appalled at the attitude and service of the manager. Upon checkout, a family before me must have felt the same way since they were clearly not pleased with the service they received. I would gladly stay at another hotel that is 3 or 4 stars if the service is better than the one I received here.

Beautiful hotel”

Great hotel with spacious bedroom suite and pool. Would have liked to have used the day spa but it was booked out during our stay. The food was tremendous.

Stunning boutique hotel”

We had a suite across the road in their annexe which was football themed with fantastic artwork everywhere. The suite was huge and beautifully designed with its own garden. Breakfast was great.

A fantastically well appointed hotel, with impeccable style, wonderful staff, beautiful rooms throughout the hotel and an amazing art collection to wonder at while you’re enjoying the great wines. Wonderful for couples, very special….

Magnifique villa près de la mer”

Superbe hôtel. Nous logions l'autre côté de la rue dans la villa. L'entretien de cette piscine laisse à désirer comparativement à celle située dans l'hôtel. Le papier peint de la salle de bain près de la puscine décole, la terrasse de notre chambre n'est pas nettoyée, tout cela fait que ce n'est pas un 5 étoiles. Très bon breakfast (il est inclus mais curieusement des prix sont inscrits sur le menu). Il y a des notes sur le comptoir de la villa (cuisine commune mais sans vaisselle) qu'on ne peut apporter de l'alcool car ils ont un permis de boisson. C'est la première fois qu'on voit ça. C'est plus pour vendre leur mini bar! Bref chambre de rêve sans vue mais à 100 mètres de la plage. Prestation du personnel inégale. Oublies de vider une des 2 poubelles, attend pour le café, ne laisse pas de débarbouillettes, etc.. Et hôtel un peu impersonnel.

Wunderschöne große Zimmer- Terrasse schmutzig ”

Vom Zimmer waren wir positiv überrascht- leider war der dazugehörige Garten ungepflegt und die Terrassenmöbel stark verschmutzt. Trotzdem würden wir wiederkommen!

Interessantes schönes Hotel”

Schöner Aufenthalt in ein großen Suite mit Garten. Ein Arthotel mit interessanter Einrichtung. Nettes Personal. Etwas schwierig zu finden, da das Hotel aus 2 Häusern besteht. Wenn man das vorher nicht weiß, ist das ein Problem, wenn man im dunklen ankommt. Verfügt aber über ein eigenes Restaurant mit guter Küche, welches sehr von Vorteil ist.Ich würde dort jederzeit wieder übernachten.
