Lovely hotel for calm and serenity”
overall, we are both satisfied with our stay at noah's ark and will definitely come here again for some peace and relaxation - away from hong kong's busy city life. hotel room: very clean and spacious, with a balcony, overlooking the beach. toilet was clean, well equipped and even has a bath tub. hotels, of similar price range, in the city is not as spacious as this. complimentary mineral water is provided. as this resort is in ma wan island - where they are really into conserving energy, you will notice leafy-shaped notes, informing us on what we can do to conserve energy. even the pump water for the toilet comes from the well nearby. hotel staffs: very friendly. speak english well. we asked them how to go to disneyland and our next hotel, and they willingly direct us on the best way to travel to our desired locations. they even drew a map to show us where to board the bus. special mention to the front desk, susanna who so helpful and patient in her explanation. room service: food (tuna sandwich set and fish and chips) were tasty and arrived within 40 minutes. the servings were huge as well. price was reasonable. breakfast spread: not many choices, but sufficent for us to last till lunch. amneties: the beach is such a lovely venue for us to chill. at night, the scene was amazing, especially with the suspended tsing ma bridge and lightings. good location to take photographs. many restaurant nearby - though we didn't try any. taxis cannot enter ma wan island where noah's ark resort is in and does not have an mtr station. but the area is well connected to bus services, so no worries if you need to travel outside the island.
Hostel With Hotel Quality”
we enjoyed our stay at noah's ark resort! it's a beautiful property with beautiful and spacious rooms. i know hong kong is noted for small and cramped hostels and hotels, but noah's ark proved to be different. the rooms were spacious and had complimentary stuff you would normally find in hotels such as slippers, vanity kits, etc. my husband was blown away by the beautiful interior. moreover, noah's ark is located along the beach, so you wake up to beautiful scenery. our voucher said we would have complimentary simply buffet breakfast. my husband and i were pleasantly surprised that the buffet was actually quite good and filling. the menu consisted or porridge with pork strips and preserved eggs, toast with butter and types of preserves, coffee, tea, fried noodles, and ham and egg. the staff was actually helpful and pleasant. they spoke and understood english so communication was not a problem. the area is very secure and we strolled along the beach at 2:00am without problems. the downside is that we had to walk a good 10mins to get to the nearest 7-eleven store because we were very hungry and noah's ark's kitchen was closed already. not much to do at the ark at night but come morning, you and your family get to do a lot of fun stuff. we got to write thank you notes on walls, made our own ref magnets, watched 4d presentations, and we took a lot of pictures! the downside is that you have to pay for noah's ark tickets apart from the resort. unlike disneyland, when you stay at their hotel, you get to enjoy the rides as well. i want to end on a positive note because we really did enjoy our stay there. there are a lot of activity rooms for children at noah's ark. i told my husband that we need to go back once we have a child of our own...named noah. :d
Quiet and fun hotel for young kids”
convenient travel from airport: buses were spot on in timing. upon arrival it was a little confusing how to get to the resort. although signages for noah's ark were up, the shortest way was through the beach when the shutters were down for the direct entrance. nice beautiful ark and pleasant environment which thrilled the kids. like the eco friendly concept and nice recycling bins. toothbrushcans comb provided although eco- friendly. soap and shampoo available. no hair dryer. ma wan park nearby makes a nice stroll. check in was speedy and over in a minute! polite and helpful staff. only one restaurant (food average) but souvenir shops were nice. park tickers issued with rooms did not include entry into ark garden. easy to travel out from bus station but must ensure you wait at the right stop for right bus. some bus drivers more helpful than others. easy travel. check out was fast too. value for money!
Great for group of friends”
We came for the 8-PPL dorm and it was amazing. Besides tourists, I find it a great gathering place for locals. A table at the centre of room was good enough for us to play board games n hand crafting. Having two bathrooms is definitely a plus for a 8-PPL dorm. Two sinks in each bathroom with separated toilet and shower. A little odd thing is that there is no power socket in the bathroom for shaver or hairdryer. You can find them at both bedaide cabinets though, not a big deal. Room is connected to a shared balcony with great view which we loved. Staff were wonderful to us considering we were requesting hair dryers, iron and ironboard, scissors etc in the middle of the night, and they are always helpful and well-trained. Special thanks to the cleaning ladies making everything so clean and tidy. Breakfast is a little disappointing, but it did mentioned a 'simple' breakfast. For the price we paid, we couldn't expect too much and it is fair. Transportation is also better than my expectation. I thought ma wan is far from the town but it is a lot faster to get there than I imagine. 20+ min ferry will take you from central to ma wan pier n an extra 10min walk to the hotel by following the sign. Warm reminder to check the ferry schedule or you may have to wait for half or even an hour for the next ferry. Taking bus is an alternative if you get there from Kowloon side but you may suffer from a long queue or traffic if you chose a rush hour. It is just fine otherwise. Get off bus at first stop off tsingma bridge, down the lift to lowest level and follow the sign. Just a few minutes. Overall, we are very satisfactory with our stay at Noah's ark and would definitely recommend it. Just remember to bring your own breakfast!
Wonderful place to stay”
we took park island bus nr334 from the airport and arrived at the hotel at 11pm. the journey took around 25 minutes. the bus will stop at a roundabout in front of the resort entrance. use the door entrance (not the lift). go two levels down by escalators and you can see an exit door. you can see the beach on your left once you exit. walk straight until you pass security. continue walking for few metres and you can see another entrance to the resort. take the lift to level 3 and the reception counter will be on your right* our check on was fast. we quickly got into the room with 2 bunk beds. the room and the toilet were clean. the beds, pillows, comforters and bedsheets were comfortable for us. the kids really love the room! we chose this hotel as it was not far from the airport. from there you can take ferry for about 25 minutes journey to central hong kong. the ferry will stop at central pier no. 2 and from there you can take trains from mtr central station to explore the city. alternatively, you can take bus nr330 to tsing yi mtr station and take different mtr lines to central hong kong or you can take tung chung mtr line to citygate outlet for shopping or you can go to disney land via mtr disney land resort at sunny bay station. * you may find that it is difficult to find the hotel at first but you will get use to it! we did the breakfast provided is very basic but sufficient enough for you to start your day. our stay at this hotel was wonderful and we will definitely stay there again!
Quiet rooms, landscaped gardens in the heart of HK”
My children and I were very impressed with Noah’s Ark. Our room was new and clean and secure and very quiet and had a balcony of natural timbers and flowers with views of the bridge and the mountains. The Resort is beautifully landscaped with trees and flowers and because it is surrounded by water is much cooler than downtown. There are many facilities and entertainments in the Resort, but we didn’t have time to use them on this visit. Transport to and from the airport, Disneyland and downtown is easy. I would stay there again and recommend the Resort to anyone visiting Hong Kong. The negatives – no microwave in the room and HK$100 deposit for a hair dryer.
Clean room with spacious balcony, but sky window needs curtain. Close to beach. Value for money”
We stayed one night with two young kids. The hotel is right above Ma Wan East beach, facing Tsing Ma bridge. The view at the beach was awesome during day and night time! Clear water, but the sand is a bit course if you are not standing close to the shore. The hotel is well equipped and facilitated. Staff is polite. Room is small, but balcony is spacious. Breakfast was awful, i.e. with very limited choice and very average quality. We took our dinner at a nearby cafe by the beach named “Roma”. Overall, it was a very value for money deal bu staying at this hotel. Given a 3 star nature, it provides 3 star + service and facility. It perfectly fits family with young kids. The HK Noah s Ark is just connected to the hotel. It was very convenient to take the kids for games, shows and exhibitions for life education. However, do check on your package for whether entrance ticket for the Ark is included or not.
When I first arrived at Noah's Ark resort, all I could say was "wow!" I stayed overnight at the resort, then checked out the park the next day. The hotel is shaped like Noah's ark and is supposed to be original size. A lot different from other hotels in Hong Kong! It's a very different side of Hong Kong than what I'd seen before. It's right on the beach and was a very peaceful relaxing place to stay. The walk from the ferry was so pretty. The rooms were clean and larger than hotel rooms in central Hong Kong. My room had a large balcony, although it had no chairs outside. I arrived late at night and it was a little difficult to find the entrance as the main was closed, but I called the resort and staff was helpful and I eventually found it. The resort has a garden filled with life-size sculptures of animals. I could see the elephants & giraffes from my room. Breakfast was included in my fee (not a full breakfast, but more than continental breakfast), and the restaurant has great views of the bridges and the harbour. Very peaceful and beautiful!
An affordable new resort inside an Ark!”
Who would have thought that sleeping in the New actual-sized Noah's Ark could be so fun! Seemingly located quite far from everything, one begins to think they've just stranded themselves on Park Island and the quiet Ma Wan beach. Soon, one realizes that the every half hour ferry services to Central Pier makes everything worth it. You can enjoy the peaceful and relaxing natural aspects of HK or choose to enter the crazy commercial center of HK within a half an hour ferry ride. Not to bad considering you get a seat, as opposed to standing on a subway. The 8 bed dorm accomodated a family of four just fine with the big central table adding to nice game, planning, and visiting opportunities. Two toilets, showers, and four sinks was perfect for a family of four. Plus, hotel residents get a discount for admission into the Noah's Ark activity areas, also well worth the visit!
Lovely hotel and perfect location ”
this is my second stay at this hotel during our short trip to hong kong. the hotel is lovely my kids enjoyed themselves. the buffet breakfast is very basic but enough to satisfy your hunger. it is easily access from the airport by park island bus service. cheaper and faster compared to taxi from the airport. the hotel can also easily accessible by ferry and mtr (transit at tsing yi mtr station) by park island bus. the most important thing is that we had a wonderful journey to disneyland and sleep peacefully at night during our stay good job noah's ark resort!!
Very special place for accomodation”
very nice location, just next to the famous hong kong bridge. if you are going over to the hotel from hk using the ferry, the walk from the ferry pier to the hotel i would say is nice, walking along the sea line with some shops you can view along the way. upon reaching the hotel, which is in the noah's park, is just a wonderful experience. my son is already excited even before entering the 'ark'. upon check in, where the lobby is very nicely maintained, served by very helpful staffs. the room is very nice, still look new + nice wash rooms. the room is quite special, lots of wooden touch. view from the room is also nice, you get to see the seaview + the famous bridge. this room comes with breakfast, though breakfast is nothing wow but it is decent for a meal, that i wouldn't complain.
Our family of 4, 2 adults child age 13 and child age 11 had great stay at Noah’s Ark. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was not good. The eggs were watery and tasteless. The location of the hotel was nice, near the water and near a few dining options. Overall the stay was good. We would go back.
I just love this hotel!”
This hotel/hostel is a bit of a pain to get to with luggage from the ferry but, if you are travelling to and from the airport it's great! We even found the lift this time so that helped. We had previously stayed in the hostel side, which had more beds than we needed but was just as pleasant. The Hotel room was roomier, and gave it a more comfortable, relaxing feel. One of my favourite aspects is the balcony space on each room. Despite being near a busy bridge the environment is quiet and peaceful. There is a small beach and adequate small shops and restaurant options if you just want a quiet day on the island. Or it is only a short ferry ride into Hong Kong itself. The staff were really helpful and we were able to leave our luggage for the morning after check out before heading to the airport, and also helped us lots when we went to collect it. If you are looking for somewhere that is a little bit different, reasonably priced (through Agoda) then I highly recommend Noah's Ark.
Room size was quite comfortable, clean and adequat”
I used the Resort as a stop-over when travelling home via Hong Kong. The location was about 30 minutes from the Airport by shuttle bus. I used the shuttle bus from the Airport, only after asking for explicit directions from the Resort (Noah's Ark Resort) It was lucky that I did, as directions were not available on their web-site. Shuttle bus connections were the least expensive way to get to and from the Resort. Hotel rooms were clean, comfortable and adequate for a short stay.
Home feeling hotel”
The most I like to stay with the hotel is it's located at the Ma Wan, an outlying island in Hong Kong. Here you can find have a very good sightseeing with no disturbance. Customer service from the staffs in the hotel is very good and their rooms are very clean. I think I will visit again in the near future
It's a real Noah's Ark on a little island!!!”
It's a Noah's Ark!! The hotel/hostel is on the top-deck (4th floor). We stayed in a dorm room for four (just the two of us) but the price was almost the same as a twin room. It really made it worth it booking through Agoda. It was spacious, clean and quiet (except for the lions snoring! ;) Breakfast was included and had a Chinese or Western option - which was ok, Toast and oily scrambled egg (best you get here), Coffee was bearable. Staff were helpful and friendly. We didn't get to explore much of the park on our visit but look forward to the return. Park Island also has a great selection of international cuisine restaurants as well as a small sandwich shop and a Park'n'shop. The ferry service to Park Island is really good so it is easy to get into downtown Hong Kong. Oh, and there is a little beach too.
Great Hotel with big room”
we booked a 4 person room hostel but at the end we get 8 person room! it was amazing and we felt very excited after seeing the big, clean and luxury room. it is not a dormitory but more like a luxury hotel room for group traveller!it is value for money (cheap price but get 5 star service + facilities) and it was the most memorable and enjoyful night in noah's ark resort. i love the bed, the floor, the bathroom, the lighting, the renovation, the superb sea view, the nice hotel stuff and i just love noah's ark resort!
Quiet Locale on Peaceful Island”
Noah's Ark is a relaxing hotel, with a clean room. The room is spacious compared to many Hong Kong hotel rooms, and the bathroom has nice soap/shampoo/etc amenities. There was even an outdoor Ark balcony, though one could walk through to other balconies. On the 3rd floor of the Ark, the night was quiet and relaxing. Great Ark museums, focusing on preservation of the earth, along with the importance and symbolism of Noah's Ark. The island is nice, with quiet beachside restaurants, clean beach area, and even a Park N Shop and Pacific Coffee Co. within close walking distance near the ferry. Breakfast was just ok, runny scrambled eggs, noodles, coffee, tea, toast, no other drinks. The Ark park is a bit expensive, but the museums located inside the Ark are well presented.
Very impressive room. Loved the bathrooms as well.”
Very friendly staff. Answered all our questions well. Hotel is on the third floor of the ark. From airport, take bus at terminal 2 for park island. Fare is 24hkd. Drop off is at bus stop in ma wan park. follow the arrows to the hotel from bus stop. Need to walk a bit to get to the hotel.
Noah's Ark - Hong Kong”
It was our first time to visit Hong Kong with our small kids ages 3, 5 and 7. Our primary purpose was to bring the kids to HK Disneyland. I searched online and found Noah's Ark. The price seemed reasonable so I booked for a 2-night stay. Arriving at HKIA, we were unsure where to go since we were told that the hotel did not provide shuttle service. That was a big inconvenience esp. for a family with huge luggages and small kids in tow. A call to the hotel gave us instructions as to where to go and catch a bus going to the island since cabs do not go to that part of HK. It was a big help that HK has an excellent public transport system and finding the right bus or train was easy enough to understand. It would be a big plus if the hotel can provide an airport shuttle service for their customers' convenience. The park/resort was very appealing to my small kids and they loved the idea that the hotel looked like a real ark. The gift shop carried many interesting items and the sales staff were kind enough to provide many freebies for my kids. Overall, our stay at Noah's Ark was fun and well worth the money. It's definitely not your typical everyday hotel. I would definitely consider staying there again when we visit HK.
