Nice Homestay off the beaten path !”
Stayed there as a stop-over on my motorbike trip in Kanchanaburi. Wishing I spent more time in this town instead of just doing a quick stop. The homestay is run by a Thai/Foreigner family very resourceful about the various sights in the area. The room is huge (one double and two singles) and totally worth the price. I recommend!

Tham Than Lot is well worth a visit next time. And the road up to Ban Tai makes a lovely drive. But there is not much happening at the Karen Village. There was a coffee kiosk where I assume one could try the local coffee. But it was closed and looked like it had been that way for awhile.

A quiet place off the beaten path with friendly owners who treated me like family. I was bicycling across Thailand and needing a nice quiet night of rest and some good food. They provided just that and I had a nice time talking with the family running the place. Very pleased and hope to stay here again someday!!

Wondering how the rest of your trip went. Got itchy feet on Sunday and took a drive up to the Karen Village at Ban Tai. Its a lovely drive. But would be a challenge for anyone on a bike. Lots of ups, downs twists and turns.
