Cape Dara Resort
North Pattaya,North Pattaya - View on map
"The hotel itself is great. Our biggest problem was getting there. It is located right on the beach in North Pattaya about 600m from the main drag. If you come during Songkran like we did, be sure to take Naklua 20th Alley from the round-about where North Pattaya Road ends. We spent over an hour travelling 4 blocks up to Naklua 24th Alley where the sign to the hotel is. That said - this was the best hotel we have stayed in Pattaya. The panoramic Ocean view is unbelievable. We stayed in a suite that also gave us access to the club bar on the 24th floor. Between 5 and 7 pm there is an open bar + tons of snacks, all complimentary. On the 25th (top) floor there is a spa - great massage, can recommend. The beach itself is swimmable during high tide +- a couple of hours. If you walk a bout 100 meters north you come to a cove which is very private. The food in the restaurant is very good, although I had to wait 40 minutes for a lunch chicken burger. Then again the view out the bay windows made the wait an enjoyable pastime."

Dusit Thani Pattaya
North Pattaya,North Pattaya - View on map
"The Dusit Thani (previously known as the Grand Palace) originally located on its current spot in North Pattaya in the late 1950s. I last stayed here in 1984, and was intrigued to notice that in some ways the resort is similar to what I remembered, but modernised and well maintained. This hotel has exceptional grounds, with tennis, an awesome gym (rivaling many commercial gyms), heaps of pools, a private beach, several excellent restaurants, and a top class (but pricey) spa. The morning breakfast buffet was awesome and testament to the great chefs working here. I love the decor of this hotel, which is a combination of oriental colonial, but with a strong beach vibe. I also partook in the Valentines special out on the peninsula with stunning Pattaya Bay views, and it was awesome (and when including 4 separate wine samplings) was much cheaper than a similar offering at the Hilton, but of equivalent quality. Rooms are great, but make sure to specify non-smoking if you don't smoke."

LK Emerald Beach
North Pattaya,North Pattaya - View on map
"If you want a nice hotel to stay in North Pattaya - just book it. Clean, lovely breakfast. Best bed, so comfortable, that we have stayed in Thailand. We have been visiting Thailand for well over 20 years and travelled all over Thailand. We returned from this hotel LK Emerald Beach on 3 March 2020, having stayed in this hotel in Jan for 1 week and at the end of our trip for 2 weeks (we started our 3 month tour on 12 Dec 2019 until 3 March 2020.). Reasonable price - very good value for money. Our room was on 6th floor overlooking swimming pool and sea. All staff extremely helpful especially reception staff (one in particular (Jeleen Filipino) her English and knowledge exceptional. Photos of hotel show true image). Do not hesitate to book this hotel. This is a true and honest review from us."

Sunshine Hip Hotel (SHA Certified)
North Pattaya,North Pattaya - View on map
"It's a new hotel with an original design. Breakfast was okay. Very friendly staff in the restaurant. There are various dishes to choose in the morning. But I wouldn't call it very extensive. It's not far from the beach. But the beach at Pattaya North was not very nice during our staying. The sea was far away so you had to go a while on the beach to get there. In Central Pattaya the sea was closer on the beach. I don't know if it is always like this. They come to clean to room, but one day we had to ask several times. And afterwards it appeared that the girl had forgotten to give us towels and water. The room was nice. We had the junior suite. Nice tv with lots of channels, wifi, fridge, water cooker, etc. Everything you need. It was nice and maybe next time I will go there again. "

"a really great hotel in north pattaya away form the madness of walking st but still only 10 minutes and 10 baht away on the baht bus. breakfast is all that you could want from a buffet breakfast with thai food plus all your usual fruit cereal bread and eggs and style you want cooked. 2 lovely pools to swim in and plenty of sun beds. the only thing i could find fault with was not much draw space in the rooms other than that a great hotel to stay in."

The Green Park Resort (SHA Certified)
North Pattaya,North Pattaya - View on map
"Before we booked I researched all the reviews of different Hotel and decided on The Green Park Resort which is located in North Pattaya off a side street near the Dusit round about. A 10 baht bus ride gets you into central Pattaya from the top of the road. If you are looking for all the action on your door step this is probably not the hotel for you, it is more suitable for families with its quiet relaxing environment. We really enjoyed our stay, the huge swimming pool/(plus children’s pool) were set in peaceful, very beautiful tropical grounds . The staff we found were very friendly and eager to please with plenty of smiles Our room was a superior ground floor room at the far side of the resort and the balcony looked out on the tropical garden, not that far away from the pool. The room was ok, clean and well serviced everyday. Breakfast buffet was available 7am to 10am, with quite a good variety, maybe cooked tomatoes and pancakes for us westerners should have been on the everyday selection instead of occasionally- but overall good. On the days we were in we enjoyed the swim up bar for a hamburger lunch which worked out about 109 baht, and a cocktail $283 baht for 2. I know in Patong it was a lot more expensive. Yes we would recommend this Hotel and we have no hesitation of staying there again. "

Sunshine Garden Resort (SHA Certified)

"The resort is located in North Pattaya which is somewhat isolated from the craziness of Central and South Pattaya. Public transportation is always available just a few feet away from the resort entrance. The resort is quite big with a nice pool in the centre. We had a bungalow in the back area which was very nice, surrounded by much greenery. The staff was always pleasant and willing to help. We ate many meals at the resort restaurant, including breakfasts, and found the food to be of good quality and quantity. Based on our personal experience, we certainly recommend the resort for a pleasant stay in Pattaya."

More about North Pattaya

North Pattaya is a little quieter than its southern counterparts, and it has more up-market options when it comes to accommodation and dining. Visitors pamper themselves at Dhevanrana Spa or settle into comfortable hangouts like Henry J Bean’s Bar and Grill, Mumaroi Restaurant or Soi 6 Corner Bar . Accommodation in North Pattaya includes many three- and four-star resorts on the waterfront. This is also where to find Pattaya International Hospital, which is increasingly popular with medical tourists.

There’s still a roaring night scene, and North Pattaya has its share of go-go clubs and beer bars that cater to western men and expatriates. One of the quirkiest attractions in North Pattaya is the 'Les Girls' cabaret performance. These are lively and admittedly entertaining, and venues like Tiffany’s Show (near Carrefour Central Pattaya) and Alcazar attract large groups of domestic tourists.

North Pattaya has plenty of toned-down entertainment complexes to round out the experience. The World Gems Collection is of interest to more than gem buyers, while OTOP Center is an ideal place to shop for locally made products. Other museums and boutiques are in the Pattaya Bazaar off Pattaya Nuea Road.

There are dozens of places for shopping here. Central Festival Center and Pattaya Klang Market are the busiest, but there are just as many convenience markets like Tesco Lotus Express or TOP Supermarket Central. These are convenient places to pick up essentials while based in one of the hotels in North Pattaya.
