Located on the harbor with the best views.Interesting local environment instead of sterile and expensive Central and Wan Chai.We did a last minute booking. Fantastic access to Metro underground, literally 3 minutes, gets you anywhere including Causeway Bay in five minutes and Central in ten minutes.A five minute cab ride takes you to North point ferry to Hong Hum....the...

We had the most satisfying 4-day 3-night stay at Harbour Plaza North Point Hotel. Although not very close to the shopping areas, if you came to Hong Kong for sightseeing with kids like us, I would definitely recommend this hotel. Being a family with 3 children, I got an extra bed for my eldest daughter, and the hotel's suite provided us with more than enough space c...

5 mins walk to North Point MTR. Right at the centre of a wet market, close to convenience stores, supermarkets, food. The iconic Hong Kong tram (ding ding) also passes right in front of the hotel at the North Point terminus. An ideal location for people who like to experience the daily lives of the locals. Rooms are also bigger than normal hotels. Facilities are well-...

New hotel in North Point. Everything about this hotel is great, I have lodged on 2 occasions and both times were perfect. Location is convenient, close to the MTR and the ferry. The entrance is quite secluded, behind the famous Tung Po restaurant, or can get inside also through the shopping mall. Lobby/Concierge service also quite helpful as they will bring you upstai...

It was a good experience at the hotel, although it is located in the middle of a busy market, once you step out of the door you are in the market. I arrived at the hotel at 9:00 am and I couldn't get into the room after 2:00 pm, that was inconvenient because I had meetings to attend starting at 11:00 am. Now I know. Using the MTR, M1 Hotel is located in North Point whi...

Visiting our company's Hong Kong office in North Point. East Hotel turned out to be the perfect location for this. Easy to get to from the airport, easy to get to and from the office and convenient to visit places all over HK island. Nice and cool room. Hotel located just next to shopping mall with excellent food court. Can't be much better.

My flat in North Point needed to have a water leakage problem fixed, so I wanted a reasonably priced hotel in North Point that I could stay in and continue to teach my students. The Ibis was a perfect choice. I chose a harbor view so that my students and I could view and discuss the many boats in the harbor and see Lion Rock in the background. We had a perfect place...

This is a really good location in North Point, less than a block from the subway station and just a few steps from the "Ding-Dong" tram line start point. The rooms are small, but so are we, so it's not a problem for us. A very tall person might not fit well. Everything in the room is new and very clean, and the staff is friendly. The common room by the front desk ...

Location: North Point, not HKG Islands finest address, BUT very convenient by MTR (Fortress Hill Stop)(OceanPark to the GuestHouse in under 20 min for less than 10HKD!), Bus (Airport Bus to the Airport just outside the GuestHouse enterence), Tram, Mini-Bus & Taxi Staff: Very friendly and speak good English Cleanliness: OK, no problems. Bathroom and shower BIG, lots of ...

Eco Tree Causeway Bay meets the following requirements: 1. Clean, 2. Safe, 3. Somewhat convenient, it's opposite a grocery store, close to many food options, a 7 to 10 minute walk to the closest MTR (subway) station, and a few minutes away from many different bus lines. Many times, I took the bus because it dropped me right in front of where I was going, esp. in the m...

More about North Point
There was a time when North Point was the most densely populated place on earth. Businesses from Shanghai moved here in the 1950s, adding to neighborhood’s success and crowds. With the influx of affluent merchants from Shanghai, North Point was nicknamed ‘Little Shanghai’, and cultural diversity set in.
Today, the crowds have dispersed, but there are still pockets of diversity. Indonesian groceries, Fujian communities and the Consulates of Tanzania and Iceland are onsite. The Fujian population is particularly interesting. They speak Min Nan (Southern Fujian) and have their own distinct traditions. Several Christian churches in North Point host Min-Nan-speaking congregations.
Transportation to Causeway Bay is handled by the MTR Island Line via Fortress Hill MTR station. It’s also possible to cross to the Kowloon Peninsula or other parts of Hong Kong Island via North Point ferry pier. Anyone with a car can easily drive from the hotels in North Point to Kowloon thanks to the Eastern Harbour Crossing.
