Exceptional”

Excellent hotel with breathtaking ocean view (our room was located on the high floor of Tresor building with ocean front view). The facilities were beyond expectations. The pools, SPA, beach, restaurants, desserts, bars... were all amazing! I would definitely stay here again when I revisit Miami.

Best Thanksgiving Holiday ever”

This is my fourth time coming here. And every time is better than Before. We make our way to the pool early in the morning and are pleasantly greeted by one of the hosts John Paul. For the last four years he has Met us with nothing but professionalism and courtesy. I look forward to seeing him just as much as I look forward to coming to the resort. If ever you are coming to stay at fountainebleau make sure you look for John Paul. He works at the pool and he will try his hardest to accommodate you and make sure your stay while at the pool is a great experience. And to top it off this is our second Thanksgiving here the weather is fantastic and the atmosphere is just low-key enough to where you feel like you’re at a Caribbean island. I highly recommend this hotel for your Miami stay as it will not let you down.

Expensive”

When booking this hotel I only looked at its facilities and decor, both exceeded my expectations, and failed to check everything else. Place is made of 4 towers, joined by air conditioning tunnels. There are 12 restaurants to choose from so I am sure everyone will find something they like. Do prepare yourself with extra $$$ because price tags are high and each time you order something you will have tax and 18% service charge automatically added to your bill. So if you and your spouse end up going for american buffet breakfast which is 34$ pp your bill will come up to almost 90$. Also if you decide to lounge on the beach, like us, prepare yourself for additional charges for umbrella $25+tax a day. I am unsure whether these charges apply to seats by pools. Oh they also offer double beds with cover for $125+tax. If you ended up ordering anything on the beach prepare to wait around 30-40mins for your order to arrive. Guess it would be easier and quicker to just go to the bar yourself.

Not that pleasant”

Staff at concierge were extremely rude and unfriendly. Hotel is just a runaway for snobbish clients. Just a snobbish uncomfortable place to be. You can't walk around without being starred at. Other hotels in Miami Beach don't give you this kind of feeling. Negative experience. I will return to Miami Beach but for sure not in this hotel.

Beautiful Resort, not very walkable”

If you want to do things outside of the hotel- like go S. Beach, Wynwood, Brickell or other places where the "cool" restaurants and bars are you will have to Uber. After a while it adds up. The pool is beautiful but get there early if you want a chair. The main lobby bar is gorgeous and the drinks are great.... It's quite the scene on the weekends.

I loved this property. Beach was clean , pool area was clean, mask required in lobby and such , tons to do and eat right on the grounds! Frozen banana drink is to die for . Not a cheap getaway but we’ll worth it for the occasion. Check in was fast and I checked out on my phone which was wonderful and fast. Definitely would recommend

Nice place to go, beautiful views, for the amount of money paid I would have expected more luxury, staff not so communicative as I would have imagined. Really not a lot of variety in the hotel, spa was nice, aside from that is some restaurants and the pools outside. Would have liked more activities in hotel, felt like things in hotel overpriced and nothing out of this world. Atmosphere for younger tourists, did not feel that it was family oriented in my opinion. Nice hotel overall but felt its over priced!

Worse hotel I have ever stayed at ”

Horrible hotel! Rude staff, dirty rooms and corridors. Expected luxury due to the price and reputation for being the best! I am a frequent traveller and I’ve paid a lot less for hotels and had a 100% better experience. Spent most of my time in Miami avoiding the hotel.

Industrial holiday”

Anyone interested in an industrial resort holiday come here. There is a touch adventure, too, as the many house rules are not explained at checkin. One of them is you cannot go to the beach without being accompanied by the person who has the single room key given tonthe room

One of the best I’ve stayed at !”

This hotel is amazing. Myself and three friends stayed in the ocean view with a balcony at the main tower. The view is incredible, there are also several pools cabanas etc. The staff are incredible, they listen to your requests and concerns, provide solutions and were always polite. Towels and room service came extremely fast! Which i definitely appreciated. I will most certainly be back !

Chlorine smell in lobby, coming from pool area No coffee maker or electric kettle in room Horrible internet, especially in the evening. It is not even possible to download emails because the bandwidth is not sufficient for so many guests. Hotel charges $32 per day 'facility charge' in addition to room rate. Rip-off, especially in light of the poor internet.

Overwhelming Miami Beach resort! Beautiful ”

It’s dazzling and beautiful and it’s on the strip! We booked using Agoda and under-estimated the sheer size of it - we had no balcony and our ocean facing room exceptional! The following items detracted from an exceptional stay: 1. No coffee machine in the room (debatable but important) 2. Valet parking was $50 per night regardless of hours (I checked in 11:30pm) but was charged 3. The room was great but in the conference venue side of the resort (meant walking a bit to get to the room) 4. No balcony (I thought I’d get one based on the pictures online (my bad for assuming) Overall, a posh place for sure and pricey - based on prior global travels and bookings this was a disappointment actually and I wouldn’t stay here again. It’s nice but not quite my style. Thank you I should have done my homework better. Not hotel fault at all.

Birthday stay”

I was told Ill be in a ocean view room.... It was partial, very partial. If you need anything, your better off going to the front desk and asking for it because they take FOREVER to answer the phone. Everything is extremely expensive. There Jr suite in the Tessor tower is like staying at a motel six with worst customer service. If you want a decent oceanfront view, you have to stay in Sorrento towers which is going to set you back about a grand a night... Oh yea dont forget about the extra 30 odd bucks a night, after taxes and room fees

ENORMOUS hotel - 5000 footsteps to get to the pool! ”

Despite 4 pools, not enough loungers or umbrellas for all guests. Beach was an option but told $25 to hire one umbrella when extreme UV dictates. Imagine permanent spring break. Even our older teens found the incessant dance music everywhere too much. Very expensive food options in hotel and no real options locally. Room Ok though nothing special - standard. Bottle of water in room $10!

Extremely expensive and not friendly ”

Extremely Expensive food and beverages. Staff not friendly. Was not welcomed when arrived by car at the door. All staff waiting for tips to do something for you. Cold atmosphere as a guest. Room was very run down and ripped bed a carpeting until we complained and they changed. Drinks are $23 at the pool. Turkey Sandwich was $34 for lunch. A simple lunch for 3 was $90. Not a family resort with young children. The hotel itself is iconic but not a modern accommodation. Need to go there with a lot of cash and dry up in a Lamborghini if you want to be greeted.

Heard loud music all night in the room. Pool seating was bad. Overall we decided to stay here based on feedback from friends and reviews but we were very dissatisfied

Great Stay at the Fontaineblue”

We were there for two days. The room is spectacular with with marble bathrooms. Everything is expensive, but you know this before booking. We didn’t leave the hotel. Had breakfast at Vida, lunch at the pool, dinner at Stripsteak.
