Third time and still satisfied”
It was my third time at this hotel The staff is very nice and helpful as usual The kitchen food is delicious. The rooms are not your high end luxury rooms (snowy tv, wifi slow at times, water pressure strong and weak at times etc..) but since we were out everyday and we used it mostly to sleep in, it was ideal for the price/value! I would definitely recommend it and they do have lots of facilities and even a big swimming pool in the back! Theres also a mini mall at the entrance with stores and food court! Will go there again Happy Canadian

This is the only hotel we can book in Manapla hence we did not have any choice. Overall experience was ok. it was like a mall complex. it has a grocery store at the ground floor and some shops. the rooms are at the 3rd floor. the room as ok based on the price we paid for. :)

To the management. Rooms need some upgrade and maintenance. It looks run down. The room door near the swimming pool room need to get upgraded, the bathroom sliding door need to get fix, and the shower water current need fixing.

We booked a family room, when we arrive, they were sold-out of the room we booked. They ended up upgrading us into a large room, however, the number of beds required was not sufficient. The room we had was a Junior Suite, with sitting are and dining area. Microwave in the room was not working, we ended up requesting to have it changed -they did. The most surprising was, the lock of the sliding glass in the room that is adjacent to the door is outside, so it doesn't matter if you lock your door, someone can still enter it even without a key.

Needs a good operation manager”
The most important thing is communication. There should be 1 person on staff to speak good english. The cook can't evan do eggs over easy, nor can he butter toast after i explained. It can be a first class hotel since it has the possibilities. Rooms can be cleaner, shower area needs a little bleach and there goes the mildew. No shower curtain, WHY. They had a heavy comforter on top of bed instead of a top sheet when it was 85 degrees out. On the upside the staff are very nice, but needs training in all areas cause i really think they dont know what's expected from them to make this a great place. The pool is gorgeous, but no lounge chairs any where. There is a brand new orthopedic hospital being built right next door , what a ideal place for love ones to stay over. Is this a third world country hotel, yes. But it doesn't have to be.

We book a standard room for 2 people. The room was okay, though we did not have a remote for the AC. Amenities were okay, but the place needs maintenance and updating. It was a pleasant stay.

Needs a good and well paid operation manager”
Language barrier problem for Americans, lack of good house cleaning, Kitchen help can't do toast or fry a egg, No top sheets on bedding, just heavy comforter, lowpaid uneducated poor trained help needing good leadership and managing. Other wise i think this property has good potential under new managers.

Not much but just ok to relax”
The establishment is very basic building but rooms are ok. The first room had a plumbing issue so we were transferred to another room which had the same issue so it seems the construction was not that good. Location is quite far from Bacolod so there's really not much to do. The bowling alley and billiards could have been very nice features but sadly were not maintained so don't expect much, apparently you can just wear street shoes and there's no oil on the lane, only powder. The pool is small but is quite nice and much better when the live band started performing while you swim or preparing BBQ which is a nice feature as well. The grocery shop and food court on the ground level is really convenient. Good to try local foods like batchoy.

Second visit not so good ”
We reserved our room online. It showed the room as 1 queen bed, refrigerator, a/c, free breakfast and private bathroom. Upon arrival the front desk informed us that we had reserved an economy room ie; 2 twin beds, a/c, no refrigerator, no free breakfast and we would have to share the bathroom with someone else. I showed the clerk my reservation on my tablet but she didn’t seem to care so I had to pay almost double for the room I reserved. She did give us a 20% discount but said if we took the discount we couldn’t have the free breakfast. The hotel has really went downhill since our first visit. It is dirty and the flies were terrible. Our room was near the kitchen and the kitchen staff were VERY noisy early in the mornings. The WiFi was basically non-existent. Every time we would try to use it in the room it would go offline and we had to got to the front desk to use it. We told the front desk about these issues but all we got in return was a blank stare. Never will stay here again

Shared bathroom with adjoining room?!?”
After an enjoyable stay in a hotel in Cebu charging relatively the same rate as Northland in Manapla, Negros for 6 days-5 nights stay, I was expecting the same amenities and services. We booked an Econo Standard Room. Maybe it was in the fine print and description, perhaps I've overlooked it. But I never expected that my family was supposed to share a bathroom with an adjoining hotel room! Thankfully, it was off-season and no one checked-in at the next room. But every day whenever we were out, I worry that someone would check in at somehow be able to access our room. Considering that it was off-season, you'd think that they'd clean the room everyday. But in our 6 days stay, our room was only cleaned once, and that is because we requested a clean-up. When they did clean, I found that they left a pillowcase behind. The interior of the room and bath room is stripped only to the barest of essentials. The tilework of the sink was not finished. Looks like an abandoned construction site.

they take advantage of foreigners ”
the facility is old and operate as a monopoly in the small town of manapala they tried to overcharge me for the small basic rooms ( over 1400 pesos for a dingy room less than 110 square ft with a shared bathroom ) ... are you kidding me ? The prices of their awful meals are also overpriced . they can get away with this because they are the only decent hotel in the area . They also allow the trycycle drivers - who sit outside their entrance to gouge the foreigner guess ,, the drivers charge pinoy guess one price and foreigner guess a much higher price ... they tried to cheat me , buy my filipina gf knew the regular rates ( because she had been a guess there b4 and she lives in manapla ) so when they quoted a price to take me to victorias ( they wanted 200 pesos one way and the regular fare was 30 pesos one way ) my filipina gf yelled at them and told them that she know the real rates and that they were scum for trying to cheat me . You have been warned !!

AC is not working”
First off, we had to go back and forth to look for the front desk. We were not advised that the "hotel" is located on the 2nd floor of the mall. Though family rooms are located on the ground, beside the pool area. Trashes were piled up at the end of the facilities since you can't see any trash bins outside the rooms. The next day, stray dogs were already into it. Asked for them to at least pick up the trash, only few plastics were picked up. Then, for our standard room, AC can't even cool the room, most especially with hot and humid weather outside. Water's not draining in the bathroom. The room's door got stuck, can't fully open the door. Requested for service hot water, I was not expecting that they'll serve cups of hot water. By the time kids woke up, water was no longer hot/warm. Though we enjoyed the pool.

A very tired and ill managed hotel”
I have to say that the write up for this hotel is in my opinion completely incorrect and Agoda needs to review their opinion of the place and give a proper account of the hotel. I had booked a Eco Deluxe room and when I arrived I was shown to what I would call a box room measuring approx. 10ft x 6ft with a bed that had a 4” worn foam rubber mattress, a TV that did not work as there was apparently a problem with the cable provider. Wires hanging down from the ceiling for the TV and a toilet that needed a complete refurbishment and cleaning. Nor was there any external window as it was an internal room within the complex. NOT for the claustrophobic. I refused to accept the room and was finally given what they call a deluxe room at no extra cost although I cannot believe that that room was DELUXE. NOT ONE of the pictures shown in the Agoda web pages is truly displaying what actually exists. It almost suggests a room has been made up to look good but as other reviewers have mentioned.
