Solid Hotel and Service”
Novotel Fenix is based literally at the bottom of Silom Road (opposite direction of e.g. Patpong area etc). It's 10 minutes taxi ride to Legendary Oriental Hotel or LeBua with restaurant on the 64th. Fl. I was greeted promptly of the Reception staff who instantly found my booking after receiving my passport. I was upgraded to a superior room as the hotel otherwise was fully booked. Everything worked as it supposed to in my room overlooking Bangkok and the breakfast buffet was good with a lot of choices. I enjoyed my stay here and would return if my working activities are in this area of Bangkok. I'll recommend Novotel Hotels all over the city as they are very transparent in their level of service and friendliness of staff on all levels. Before I checked in to this Novotel I checked out from Novotel at Impact Arena with same excellent staff service. See you next time, Novotel.
We spent 4 nights at the Novotel over the 2014 News Years period. I booked a Junior Suite room to cater for us being a family of four, 2 comfortable rollaway beds were set-up for the kids in the living area. The room was clean but a bit small for 4 people and a tad bland, some artwork or decorative features would be nice. The bathroom was okay except the shower/bath had a shower curtain, it was clean but still a shower curtain (blah). We had a room on the 14th floor, which had great views of the city area including the New Years Eve fireworks over Bangkok city. Check in was more than smooth as we booked a suite were entitled to club lounge privileges, check in was done at the club lounge and we arrived just in time for the awesome daily happy hour between 5pm and 7pm, which includes complimentary food and beverages (open bar!!). The tapas style food was delicious and varied it was also a very family friendly club lounge. The breakfast buffet was amongst the best I’ve had, it caters for everyone (Asian, Western, European, Halal), the pool area was really nice and the pool bar offered tasty selections for lunch. On departure as we had an early morning flight we were able to arrange a lovely continental breakfast tray to the room (or should I say cart), there was no extra charge as our daily rate included the breakfast buffet. (many Hotels would have charged us extra for this). The location of the Hotel is second to none, in the heart of Siam Square and metres from the Siam BTS, major shopping malls and smaller boutiques shops, there is an abundance of restaurants in the area including the Hard Rock, which is always a favourite with the kids. The Staff were professional and courteous, you can tell this is a very well managed hotel and even though there are swankier places to stay in Bangkok for location and the family friendly nature of the Novotel I would definitely come back.
Very good hotel with friendly service”
Novotel Bangkok Fenix Silom Hotel was recently remodeled, so the rooms are very, very clean and modern. The prices of the rooms are reasonable, and the location of the hotel is fairly good. It is a short taxi/bus ride to Saladaeng and they have a shuttle service to Saladaeng. It is within walking distance to the river. The service is truly friendly and better than many of other 4- star hotels that I have stayed at in Bangkok. The only downside of the hotel is the very small swimming pool and fitness centre.
Reasonable For The Room in Central of Bangkok”
The Hotel Location is on Silom Road where you can find the interesting things and hotspots along the street. Also it is like less than 500m away from BTS Train Station. The hotel room is as good as what you can expect from Novotel, it is clean and comfortable to stay over the night. Unfortunately, we booked Room Only Deal, so we have no chance to see how good their breakfast is.
Very modern and new hotel with excellent rooms”
i stayed at the novotel silom recently and i found it to be of excellent standard for the most part. rooms are very smartly designed and quite comfortable. - they offer a shuttle bus every hour to the nearest skytrain station but the service is not always available. i called an hour before to book a seat for the 8pm shuttle bus and the concierge told me he could not take me at that time because there was too much traffic and he did not want to be stucked in it. he suggested i run as i had 5 minutes before the 7 pm shuttle left . why would i want to ctach the 7 pm shuttle and be just roaming around for an extra hour just because of bangkok traffic...really??? if a service is advertised as parto fo the hotel services then it should be followed through regardless of "traffic' or other inconviniences.
The most beautiful hotel I sayed in my life”
we loved our stay at the novotel, first it's very well located, silom is a beautiful area. it's right off the highway, so very easy to find for the taxis. it's a walking distance from the bts sky train (about 7-10 min), the neighbourhood is very pleasant, it's near the river. it's close (by train) to all of the great shopping malls of bangkok. the hotel itself is beautiful, very high-end, clean. the rooms are stunning, new, the view is great. there's free internet in the lobby which is a major plus.
Our staying in Novotel Bangkok Fenix Silom Hotel was great. Friendly and respectfull stuff, nice and clean rooms and good location of the hotel. On our departure day they let us stay after our check out in the 6th floor on the pool and fitness area for half a day, because we had our flight late at the evening. Really nice hotel.
I travel for business almost 3-4 times in a month and usually stay at this hotel. I've tried almost all good hotels in Silom area and consider Novotel Fenix as one of the best in the same budget range. The hotel is mid size as compared to it's peers, located at one of the best locations and has range of all required facilities. What sets it apart for me is: 1. Attentive, happy and helpful staff. 2. Quiet and peaceful from the time I check in, till check out. 3. Renovated rooms, with multi-plug settings, and a good shower. Also comfortable bed that doesnt smell of cigarette, non-smelly floor/room. Good views. 4. Unlike other hotels in the vicinity that are full of bus loaded travellers, since the hotel size is not huge, it fits into my requirement of simplicity, coziness and not people running around. Cons: never had any bad experience so far.
I arrived in bangkok on 28 Feb where I booked into Boss Suite Hotel in Sukhuvit area..for 3 nights but was really dissapointed as the photos shown in all websites including Agoda was really amzing until I checked in it was worse than a 2 star hotel but rated 3 stars..I checked out the next day even tough I still have 2 nights stay and I booked Novotel silom..and it was a pleasant and wonderful stay..I just hope that Agoda and the rest of the website for hotels to make sure the hotels gv up to date photos or details so we won't be taken for a ride..but Novotel excellent..
Lovely Hotel and Friendly Staff”
we had great stay at Novotel Silom.. the hotel is well decorated, colorful and tidy.. even room is small, but everything well organized especially the transparent bath room... our package not include breakfast, however we can easily get cheap and delicious thai style breakfast at the morning market just about 10 minutes walk from the hotel... the swimming pool is bit small and open bit late.. maybe due to our tight schedule, we not able to enjoy the swimming pool of hotel.. special thanks to the hotel staff for making a birthday cake during my stay, it was my birthday and very surprise... generally we enjoy our stay at the hotel and sure we will back again... warm regards
Great location for playing tourist”
I like this hotel because you know its going to be a nice hotel for a fair price. It's a good deal for the Silom area. It's just down the road from LaBua and Maggie Choo's is actually right under it. It's easy to get to the Grand Palace and Wat Arun from here too by boat. The rooms are a bit smaller (at least mine was). I was a little surprised that a room with twin beds was actually two twin beds touching each other. Good thing I was staying with my sister and was ok with sleeping so close. Overall nice place with a great view!
Novotel Bangkok Fenix Silom Hotel staffs well trained and ploite,is situated in very good location, easy to get taxi to all places, plenty of restaurants, food stalls, shops nearby the hotel only distance walk, even nearby most of the nightlife places, good excellent healthy ancient massage shops.
Really nice clean and tidy hotel”
I had an amazing stay at the novotel silom, I spent almost one moth in a novotel suite. The hotel has an exective loung for the peolpe staying on the executive floor or in a suite. If you are on business trip, it will be just perfect for you, because the hotel offer you a business meeting room with a great service, for instance you will have somebody coming and iffering you something to drink every 30 min, moreover the hotel will pffere you a free buffet at the executive lounge, perfect to chill out after a busy day.
Convenient location, clean room, nice staff”
This is my third trip to Bangkok. Generally, we had nice time at Novotel Bangkok Fenix Silom Hotel. The hotel has good location, near to shopping area. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the room is comfortable.
Value For Money 4* Novotel in Silom”
room night include breakfast in the heart of silom where it's 5minutes from the famous Lebua State Tower, am i joke? No I am not, you get a new renovated room, modern minimalist design, confort novotel bed and bathroom amneties, well this is the fact, it's really 10 minutes from BTS. it's a worth price hotel hidden gem, we stay @21st floor deluxe non smoking room
Good hotel at a reasonable price”
Great location. It is in walking distance of the river at Saphan Taksin and the riverboat from there and a short taxi ride to the main tourist area in Silom (Saladaeng). I found the staff at the Novotel Hotel to be friendlier and more helpful than the staff at many other 4- and 5-star hotels in Bangkok where they often have an attitude. The shuttle bus service to Silom (Saladaeng) was a nice feature. The two weaknesses of the hotel are the very small swimming pool and no bathtubs--they should at least have a combination bath/shower in the bathrooms in the guest rooms.
Very good hotel with a reasonable price”
the hotel is located at silom road, another prime zone of bangkok. it is close to many hip places and bar situated next to the chaopraya river. the night market is like 10 minutes away from the hotel. the rooms equipped with all amenities you would need. tv, cd player, flat screen tv. nice shower room. there is also a nice restaurant in this hotel called the square serving a delicious brunch and lunch.
typically good novotel”
stayed here due to having to get myanmar visa a couple streets away for 1 night. typically good novotel hotel at a good value. free wifi throughout hotel (big plus for similar typical city hotels that usually charge), small but decent gym facilities, outside pool/sunlounger area with bar although not a swimming pool that can actually swim in as only about 10 yards long but good to chill around. free welcome drink on arrival. very good bed in a large room and nice bathroom/shower too good location for downtown bangkok and only a street away from the bts station (5 min walk or so) if you want to get about quickly and avoid the traffic very good room service green curry although they didnt have some of the appertisers which was unfortunate..good value too
Cheap price, great room, helpful friendly staff”
Best experience ever in bangkok. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Instruct us on how to get to the destination, help us to call a tuk tuk or taxi. When i cane down from tuk tuk with many shopping bag, hotel staff came out to help me to take the shopping stuff, hold me down from the tuk tuk, open car door for me. Offer shuttle van services to bts station, convenience for travelers. Safe. 7eleven next to the hotel. 3 star hotel price, 5 star services! There is massage shop opposite - silom bodyworks.
pleasant and quiet”
It was a great hotel for mid-budget travellers. Centrally located but out of the way from the hustle and bustle of Silom's night life, Novotel Fenix Silom is one of the most value for money hotels in the Silom district. Do check out Maggie Choo's bar underneath the hotel for one of Bangkok's hippest bars and the Shangri La's famed Long Bar which is a 10 minute walk away.
