nice hotel but need better hospitality”
their check in time is at 2pm and its supet strict. They asked me to wait as I was arrived at 1.30PM. The silly thing was when it was around 1.55PM there was a guest who happened to just walked in and the receptionist lady who appeared (surprisingly) wore an "Best Employee" button pin served him while she knew I was waiting to check in as I was told. its really annoying and rude. Other than the unfortunate experience I encountered during check-in, my stay was a pleasant one.
Dear Caroline, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We appreciate your feedback as it helps us to improve the service we provide to our guests. We are sorry to hear that there was an unsatisfactory experience with the food service during your stay with us. Please be sure that we took necessary training measures to prevent such cases to happen in the future. We hope to welcome you back in the future, so that we can provide a better experience. Best regards, Aleksey Sharapov Front Office Manager
The room is big and clean. Metro station literally just around the corner. Hotel reception staff were good. The guy at the cafe was terrible, refused to help change rumbles and pretended not to know what I was asking and straight up ignore me.
Dear Marcus, Thank you for staying with us and for your review. We are glad to know that your stay was comfortable and you enjoyed our rooms and staff service. Look forward to welcome you again at Novotel Moscow Centre. Best regards, Aleksey Sharapov Front Office Manager
Right on top of Mendeleskaya station (you can walk inside the station connected to Novolobosky station which runs in the circle of all the main hubs, also one of the most beautiful Metro). Great staff! We walked in, and they knew it was us (well we contacted them few times prior our flight but that recognition adds up everything isnt it) We'd booked 2 rooms, great size nothing to complain at all! Dont forget to bring in your own shower cap, tooth brush/ paste tho. Its more of a buz hotel than leisure hotel.
Dear Cherrie, Thank you for your kind feedback and letting us know you appreciate our services. I am happy you enjoyed your stay. As for your comments on bath supplies - we can provide all of this items upon your request to reception. We will be glad to welcome you again very soon! Kind regards, Aleksey Sharapov Front Office Manager
Good location and Nice staff ”
Very good location the metro line 9 is under the hotel and you can walk 3 mins for line 5. The room is spacious and clean. Breakfast needs improvement, though. Red Square can be reached by Metro (only three stops). And the price is very reasonable.
First time in Moscow and it's nice!”
I was at the hotel on my birthday. GM of the hotel sent me a tiny cake to celebrate my birthday. It's quite impressive and made my trip more memorable. Location of the hotel is great. It's near subway station and has a few nice groceries and supermarket nearby. It's a bit noisy at all time since it's closed to subway.
Normal business hotel with lousy wifi”
This hotel is close to subway, restaurants etc. it's a bland Novotel - nothing exciting. It would be a good business hotel if the Wifi worked. I had two rooms and in both cases Wifi was marginal. Better in the 2nd room but still marginal. To me the wifi is Critical when traveling for work - all business brand hotels are the same but it's the wifi that makes the difference. Now at the holiday inn - it just around the corner but has good wifi
Good location value for money”
I booked in the 2 queen size bed for my family of 5. It was enough for us. Value for money. Just under the hotel is the subway station. Hotel is surrounded by restaurant like KFC, McDonald, Starbucks and other restaurant with grocery store.
Novotel Moscow Central”
I have stayed at this Novotel on more than one occasion and always chose it when in Moscow. It offers excellent value for money, whilst still retaining a sense of class in what is a classy city. Cleanliness is of a high standard, the staff are very helpful and friendly and the atmosphere adds to ones stay. Recommended.
Excellent location and clean hotel with good service. AIrconditioning issues and a taxi was arranged by hotel as requested to airport, however the taxi driver charged me double than estimated though it had a meter. I feel meter was made by the driver himself. So book an online taxi. Suggest Mozio app.
Dear Binu, We are glad to know that your stay was comfortable and you enjoyed our service. As for your comment on taxi service, please be sure that we have passed this information to our taxi company so they could check this information and take measures. We will be glad to welcome you again very soon! Kind regards, Aleksey Sharapov Front Office Manager
Good location and affordable hotel”
The location for the hotel is good. Directly above the metro and walking distance to another line of the metro. Numbers of eateries nearby. Clean room and huge. Few facilities to enable get together for friends. Lastly, i will like to compliment the staff name Anton during my stay. He is very helpful and always put on a nice smile. He has also shown the confidence level that he is able to help when i approach him to assist in locating the Uber driver who has gone missing for 30 mins since we do not speak Russian. His English is really good as compare to the rest of the team. Novotel as chain hotel in the Le Club AccorHotels group should have more staff like him. This will assured the guest that they have made the right choice for choosing to stay in the hotel as compare to the competitors.
Dear MEIYAN, Thank you for choosing Novotel Moscow Centre and dedicating your time to post such a generous review. It is a pleasure to know that you enjoyed our location and service provided during your stay. I will definitely share your kind words with Anton. We hope you will visit us again. Kind regards, Aleksey Sharapov Front Office Manager
Good location ”
The hotel is located in very good location of moscow. 40 min walk to red square or 3 station by tube. Room have nice space but very basic. Not a 4* hotel at all. Breakfast was ok. Nothing special. I would recommend if is a short visit.
Friendly & responsive staff, superb location”
Definitely the location to stay in if you want to enjoy the hustle bustle of the Moscow city, Metro train entrance just next door, great staff (Special mention of Mr. Anton & Ms. Yana at the front desk who really helped me out during my stay)
changing room without notification”
I booked the same double queen-bed room on two separate check-in dates in the same week. The room on our first check-in date was exactly the same as advertised on Agoda. I was very happy. Staff speaks good English. The hotel is literally above Mendeleevsky metro station - 3 stops to red square and Kremlin. But, when we came back from St Petersburg and re-checked in the same room I booked, the hotel put us in a different room that had one queen bed and a single bed. I phoned the reception to ask why, and the manager told me because of overbooking resulted from technical problems, they had no other rooms available. I argued and didn't buy the story because this had never occurred to me in any other hotels before. They offered another room but it had a queen size sofabed instead. I didn't want a sofabed so I chose to stay in the room provided. I couldn't bother pursuing a further resolution because I was due to leave Russia the next day. Except from this experience, I was generally happy with the services provided. Does a hotel have the right to change your room without notifying you beforehand? Has this occurred to you?
Good location and nice staff ”
The location is very good, just locate on the Mendeleev metro station, around the hotel has several restaurant and exchange shop, the room is clean and has towel dryer in toilet, the staff is very nice and can speak good English
It was like home for us! It was truly comfortable in every aspect, the room, the service. The location is also great, just 3 minute walk to a line 5 subway station, an open market, Elki-Palki and Starbucks, right in the very front is a line 9 subway station. Quiet and peaceful. Loved it! Definitely going back there for our next trip to Moscow
great hotel, was only 24 hours stay between my flights, but great location 20 min walk to the Red Square, enjoyed the extra time to see Moscow city, thank you team Novotel for a late check out, will stay again for sure Vlad Hird
Nice hotel with bad attitude staff”
I requested for the hotel taxi to pick me up at the airport. The driver let me pull the suitcases through the parking lot to where he parked the car. He didn't even know how to get to the hotel. He got lost 3 times. When he found the hotel he didn't know how to get to the front to down load my bags. He put down all my bags right on the foot path. I had to walk to the hotel and complained to the staff who were not courteous enough to receive the complaint. Where is the service mind?
At entrance of Mendeleevskaya Metro Station”
my first time to russia. chose this hotel as it was -18c outside and this is closest to metro right at doorstep compared to other hotels close to aeroexpress city terminal station berlorussky station. metro stop is just next station on number 9 brown circle line. check in was quick. room was good size for 4 star hotel. no view around the area. wifi is free, but no reception in the discount room 801, you have to sit in the lobby. no lotion as needed with freezing dry weather. no toothbrush. morning breakfast was alright, not great, but at 1100 rubles may be expensive if you don't have an expense account. a number of places to eat across the street and mc donalds as well as a supermarket. number of banks and pharmacy also in the area. good choice as a base, especially being very close to metro. tv with a number of channels in many languages. in room safe and minibar. as with many hotels in europe, tissue paper, toilet paper, and towels are course and feel like sandpaper.
MORE THAN EXPECTED”
We arrived at approx 1:00am from Dubia. Check in was fast and pleasant. All the front staff could speak very good english and were most helpfull with assistance on catching the Metro (next door to the hotel) to do the Ring rout to see the wonderful rail stations. Good location for shops and supermarket.Market selling fruit, food, clothing and hardware plus, across the road from hotel. The hotel is 4 star. The room was clean and large for a standard room. Good flow of hot water in the shower. Breakfast had a good choice and a big varity foor to cater for all.
