Novotel Peace is an exceptional grande hotel in every respect. Not only does it have the aura of such but all the facilities one would expect. The breakfast buffet is exceptional as are all the meals on offer at its various outlets. Getting around Beijing is made easy by the Conceirge staff who will happily arrange selected taxis to take you to your chosen location without worry. I recommend taking a room on a Premier floor as it provides a host of extras including the opportunity to mix with fellow travellers in the Premier Lounge at dusk looking out over Wangfujing with the Forbidden City in the distance. The " this is Bejing" feeeling is sure to engulf you. Having visited Beijing for over 10 years, staying at the Novotel Peace is always a highlight.

Easy Access to Everything”

The Novotel Peace Beijing Hotel was an integral part of one of my most enjoyable vacations in China. The location facilitates shopping for anything on your downtime. This way you can focus on sightseeing and the many cultural experiences that Beijing has to offer. The easy access to the subway, meant I didn't spend a lot of money getting around the city. The hotel's location made evening walks around the Forbidden City or Tienanmen Square possible. Breakfast offered good variety, but it was the same variety everyday, which can lead to repetition for longer stays. The pool was nice, but maybe a little small...maybe 10 metres in length. However, I believe these are relatively small issues and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great place to stay with friendly staffs”

We stayed 4 nights at this hotel. It is located within 5-8 mins walking distance to Wangfujing shopping street, about 15 mins walk to Wangfujing Subway station, 30 mins walk to the Forbidden City. It is convenient to find places to eat as well as convenient store for your needs. The Reception were fabulous and friendly with good command of English (as my wife didn't really understand Chinese). We were given a bigger room in a non-smoking floor (as we requested) although our reservation was for a standard room. It is just the room location has to be accessed through 2nd floor and up some stairs to the other wing of the hotel. The concierge staff who assisted us (Mr. Jack Zhang) was very friendly. As it was our first visit to Beijing, he recommended some places to visit & showed us how to go about. He even informed us the approximate taxi fare if to these places from the hotel. The buffet breakfast consist of western and asian choices which tasted quite nice. We also really appreciate the assistance of another concierge staff upon our check-out (we didn't really catch his full name, just manage to glimpse his name badge has a Zhang). He assisted in hailing a taxi in front of the hotel and help us to inform our destination to the taxi driver. It was a very pleasant stay and made our Beijing trip even more memorable. Thank you.

Best Location and Best Food”

Our stay in Novotel is close to perfection. The location of the hotel is near Wangfujing Market (where you can shop for food and souvenirs at the lowest price), walking distance to Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, and shopping malls. The room is also great and so is the food (breakfast). Though majority of the receptionists do not speak english, they make up by looking for other staff who can. Overall, I can consider this as one of the best vacations I had. Thanks to Novotel Beijing Peace Hotel for being part of it.

Fantastic location, great service”

we stayed at novotel peace beijing and would recommend it to anyone (nb our stay was 18 months ago). it is in the best location. 5 mins walk to wangfujing st, forbidden palace, tianamen sq. the hotel is usual novotel standard but we thought the staff were really great. in a city where many people cannot understand english we really appreciated the help the concierge gave us re: taxi to great wall, where to eat, where to go shopping. we didn't eat at the novotel because there were too many amazing places to eat nearby.

Novotel Peace Hotel is situated in close proximity (10 minutes walk) from the Forbidden City,Tian’anmen Square and several of the main parks ,as well as Food street and major shopping facilities ,only a short taxi ride from other attractions around the city. This is a good choice hotel, worthy of its 4 stars; the entrance lobby sets the scene of space and tranquillity in an opulent style. The staff speak English and are very helpful, they seek to please. The room was light, clean, with Coffee and tea making facility, a good TV; it was quiet thereby enabling a good night’s sleep. Shower and bath good with fresh towels and soaps each day, room service excellent. The hotel has adequate gym facilities and a pool, a valuable asset after a long day walking the attractions. There is a massage parlour although I didn’t have time to try it out. The bureau de change is open each day till late and their rate is competitive no need to shop around! The restaurant caters for all tastes is bright clean and attractive the price reflects the hotel quality. If this Hotel fits your budget then look no further you will not be disappointed.

If you are looking for nice hotel rooms near Wangfujing street, Beijing Novotel Peace Hotel is your choice. Their price is really very affordable. 1. The rooms in west wing are newly renovated. Modernly designed and spacious. The bedding are quite comfortable. 2. The concierge staff are helpful in providing information, especially Jack! Jack is very helpful and informative. 3. The breakfast was not bad. However, the dining area is quite crowded and I am supposed to locate seats myself. Otherwise, the stay at this hotel is pleasantly good.

Novotel Peace Beijing is located centrally, close to main sightseeing areas (Forbidden City, Tien An Men Square, Meihsi Street) and also to the shopping area of Wan Fu Jing Street. Prices are at European level and acceptable for the service you get in return. Staff speak good English and are efficient and friendly.

novotel peace beijing hotel is located near novotel beijing peace is ideally located in the city centre wangfujing. it also within walking distance to forbidden city. not so bad to get transport (taxi) to other places unlike other cities in china down a day is difficult to get taxi. easy to access subway by walking about 20 minutes. the hotel has wifi access, plus free internet access. the hotel staff are friendly and very helpful. however, it is a bit expensive.

Great location, helpfull staff, spacious room”

Had a very pleasant 5-night stay at the Novotel Peace Beijing Hotel last week. Our plane arrived late so we checked in after midnight. The staffs greeted us and gave us an upgrade to the premium room. All the staffs were very helpful in providing assistance with the taxis, directions, and helped us write down the name of places in Chinese (most people there didn't read or speak english so we needed these to get around!!). All in all, a very pleasant say. We would definitely stay here again the next time we're in Beijing. Highly recommended.

Large hotel in central area”

This is a nice hotel in a convenient location in Beijing. We had to move from our original room as the bathroom had a strange smell that wouldn't go away but this was simple and convenient. As expected being part of the Novotel chain there were a lot of western guests so the staff could possibly speak english better than some of the surrounding hotels. It is possible to walk to the forbidden city from the hotel and there is also a metro stop 3-400m away. One of our favourite things about the hotel was the complimentary continental breakfast which for being included in the price was really good.

Very good location”

This hotel is one of the best that I have stayed for the price and location. Its very central to the heart of the city. You can even walk if you are fit to forbidden city and tiananmen square. They have the touristy street called wangfujian street. Its good as you can see all the different food/sweets/toy mall, called the new world children store. The staff can mostly speak english. The concierge are polite and they would call a cab for you from their local e-hailing app without any charge. All in all a very good hotel to be in if you want to walk around Beijing.

The initial encounter with the hotel was certainly not a pleasant one! Booked through AGODA for two rooms should be adjoining ones or atleast, preferably be next to each other or at least opposite, or 1-2 rooms away and non-smoking rooms. Unfortunately, they did not have such two rooms available. But the front desk staffs were very well trained and they showed us what they have at that time. Unfortunately the hotel stench of the cigarette is very overwhelming and I told the front desk staff that why we were not given rooms in the new wing! She could not answer us. The lady, her name was Jenny, was very professional. She said they have such adjoining rooms in the new wing, but the price would be higher. I tried to persuade her to give us the room at the same rate since we have booked for 6 nights for two rooms. There are not many customers who book for 12 room nights! She then talked to the manager who has kindly consented! That was simply GREAT gesture! So we were ungraded to adjoining rooms at same rate in the new wing. The rooms are simply excellent and well-appointed! Good view and perfect location, walking distance to Wangfujing Pedestrian Street and MRT stations (2). From there, the stay in the hotel was simply fabulous! This hotel has trained their staff very well, especially we are indebted to Jenny for helping us out here. She deserves special praise! We will certainly come back to stay in Novotel Peace Hotel during my business trips. Thank you for making our stay in Beijing GREAT!

Very comfortable, well-located hotel”

the novotel peace hotel offers comfortable rooms, and, when staying in an executive floors room, access to a very well appointed executive lounge with wide beverage choice and stunning view over the roofs of the forbidden city in the distance. very enjoyable venue to have a drink at the end of the day. the buffet breakfast in the coffee shop on the ground floor offers excellent pancakes and crepes!

Great location, professional service”

i stayed in novotel peace beijin hotel for three nights through reservation at agoada.com. the location of this hotel is really nice and the price offered by agoda is very reasonable. there are two buildings, the old peace hotel and the new novotel building. i lived in the old peace hotel, which is well maintained and very clean, thought not spacious and no bath tub. there is no elevator directly to the rooms, we need to take stairs up to the elevator, therefore, probably the old building would not be a good choice for senior travelers. however, the staff are very helpful, the doorman helped carry my luggage up to the room. the concierge is very professional too. they arranged a taxi for a one-day tour cost rmb 600 for two of us, which is very nice. reasonable price plus good driving and tour service. the day tour included the great wall, the forbidden palace, the yi-ho garden and the bird nest, completed within 8 hours. the location of this hotel is great, within walking distance, there are a lot of choices for famous restaurants and shopping stores. i would consider to stay in novotel beijin peach hotel again if revisit this city.

I arrived after a very long fligh,rather tired,to be greeted by nice,polite and efficient young people at reception.Another kind youn man helped me with my luggage to my room.The room:big,beautiful,very comfortable bed,excellent matress,minibar well provided.Lights well sited,air condition working well.The bathroom ,complete,a la francaise,excellent.I must say that all this was a great surprise,much appreciated by Latin people like me.I was given some complementary fruit in me room,this was another good surprise.Lets us go to the dining room for breakfast:the reception girls,the young French manager?very polite and helpful.The waiters,discrete,efficient,polite.Buffet both Chinese and European ,again with the French touch of croissants,baguette,crepe and many other things.The Chinese side had a huge choice of different dishes as well,all fresh and tasty food. Back to the bedroom:I forgot to mention how generous toiletries and how nice and polite the room girls are,they manage to communicate in spite of not being fluent in English,but they do their best to please. Shops:I tried the clothes shop,top quality of very modern clothes and very nice shop attendant.Same commentaries for the shop nearest to reception,which sells of ort of Chinese beautiful things.Very polite lady working there.I did not use the currency exchange,but it is available all the time. Again reception people were nice,polite and efficient when I had to check out,both sorting out my account,dealing with my now heavy luggage and finding a proper taxi.The door man wrote the number of the taxi on a card which was given tome,just to make sure that everything goes smooth.This shows care and responsibility for the hotel guests till the very end. I would certainly like to come back,both to Beijing and to Novotel,Heping,at Jin Yu Hutong numer 3. Yours. M.Rambau.

We stayed at the Novotel Peace Beijing Hotel in early December and boy was Beijing cold, but our room was toasty and warm and the perfect escape from the bitter north westerly winds. At Novotels you get a certain standard of room and The Novotel Peace Beijing Hotel is a decent hotel, spacious rooms at a reasonable rate. The breakfasts are also good at this hotel. We have stayed at the Novotel Watergate Beijing Hotel on a couple of ocassions and it is more modern and in a better location for sight seeing. For example from the Watergate you can walk to Tianmen Square in 5-7 mins.
