Room - bed was comfortable, dont understand the reason for pillows to two different sizes and they do nothing to support your neck while sleeping. Breakfast - this was a BIG FAT DISSAPPOINTMENT. limited options, and staff cant understand english so you cannot even check if the item on buffet is something that you can consume or not as the name tags were missing half the time. Staff - barely anyone who understands even a single sentence in English. It was a huge struggle to communicate even with the reception staff. Value for Money - probably, it is priced okay, however when you choose to include breakfast, you except some options, fruits are not the only thing you want to survive on.

| Singapore | CoupleThe hotel is not near to any shopping malls but is just a stone away from the train station. Easy to call didi as well if you dont feel like taking the train. No shopping malls around but there are eateries behind the hotels where there are plenty of food to choose from. No comments about the reception staff but i want to praise the staff who clean our room. The ladies that I met are polite and friendly and have very good working attitude. Room is big; however, the ventilation is not as good, and you can smell people smoking in the nearby rooms. Overall, I have no issue with the hotel and if the price is right, I don't mind staying in this hotel.

| Singapore | CoupleMy wife and I headed to Beijing from Dongguan, where the leaves and decided to stay one night in Shenzhen. It wasn’t the first time in the city but was out first time at Novotel Watergate. Excelent location from Dongmen area. Our best Shopping place area. Not to mention despite not been mear the airport, the access is easy friendly. It took us less then 50min taking line 11 from Huagiang South. Hotel was great; clean and quiet. Definitely coming back.

| Australia | Family with young childrenWe stayed there twice during our travel to Shenzhen on our entire trip. the hotel is overall average, does not really live upto Novotel's reputation - this is purely based on our prefered choice has always been Novotel to stay at all the countries we have travelled to. Room - bed was comfortable, dont understand the reason for pillows to two different sizes and they do nothing to support your neck while sleeping. Breakfast - this was a BIG FAT DISSAPPOINTMENT. limited options, and staff cant understand english so you cannot even check if the item on buffet is something that you can consume or not as the name tags were missing half the time. Staff - barely anyone who understands even a single sentence in English. It was a huge struggle to communicate even with the reception staff. Value for Money - probably, it is priced okay, however when you choose to include breakfast, you except some options, fruits are not the only thing you want to survive on.

The TV with the HDMI is very useful for the business man like me to connect with my computer to work or see Nefix,Youtube or any streaming video of my computer to keep the connection with the world (China TV only provide China channel) The frondesk staff can use the english to communicate with me is the one of the point I appreciate it. The choice of food of breakfast not too much but the taste is normal. I will recommend my colleague to choice this hotel if the hotel offer an better view and upper room for me. I don't perfer to choice the standard room with Kig size bage only on 8/f . I think that the hotel can offer the the upper floor and better windows view with King size bed for me next visit. Morever, I am satisfying the King sizes bed and the bath room.

Even Shekou, the furthest away on the west coast, was just ~35mn and $8 by taxi (US). However, hotel facilitates were aging and needed serious renovation. My room ceiling had multiple moldy areas and sometimes dripped AC water. Plywood closet was peeling. Shower head was old and didn't provide the water thrust / pressure of modern showers.

However, upon arrival, I discovered that both rooms lacked bathtubs, which was quite frustrating since I had chosen them for the little companion. After expressing my concerns at the front desk, they informed me that only the king-size rooms come with bathtubs. Fortunately, they were able to switch one of the rooms for us. While I appreciated the assistance in resolving the issue, I believe the listing should be clearer about which rooms actually include bathtub.

Internet will be a problem but it's problem for every visitor as GOOGLE Facebook and what's app are banned in China they have a whole different eco system with there own version of the same. Rooms are large and clean Bathrooms are slightly dated but clean. Staff is extremely curtious.
