Fantastic stay ”
We stay 2 nights for 5 pax in 2 rooms. Hotel provided free shuttle bus but the map provided wrong info as NHK building pickup area. It should be Sapporo TV tower. We were blessed that the lady at NHK building initiated to contact hotel and asked driver otw to pick us up at opp NHK building petrol kiosk, else we will missed the bus. The dinner was very good, fine dining. We don't take beef and they changed it for us tho was last minute at the serving desk. They replaced crab for my sashimi as I don't take raw food. My family enjoyed the sashimi a lot. The view from our rooms were splendid, surrounding area very scenic with heavy snowy. The suspended bridge is within walking distance. Onsen was good, we tried the private onsen too and required reservation. Overall a very enjoyable stay .

Nice overall ”
The hot spring hotel just made you feel like your home, the dinner and breakfast provide showcased traditional Japanese culture. There are lots of art works ant different corner and even with two exhibitions of historical monument of japan and China. With a cozy reading area next to the reception, there are many area for you to explore inside the hotel. The night lounge is very relaxing that served with some snacks and hot red wine, you could also enjoy the outdoor footpath at the night lounge area. I recommend you would arrive in the vicinity of hotel near noon and spend time in /out of the hotel to explore interest aspect you love, then check in at 3pm. It takes you some time to familiar with the traditional Japanese clothes if you have not tried before. Just one thing I recommend is the conditioner is too noisy when I switch it to ‘high warm’ mode.

Exceptional”
I know some would argue for the value for money but I think this hotel ticks everything in my list because the staff are warm and helpful, and the Japanese styled room is very large! Plus their onsen facilities are great, tried both public and private baths and it was excellent. This is a half-board hotel hence breakfast and dinner are included, kudos to chef Koji Mizoguchi for the excellent dinner served during our stay. We loved all the courses served during the dinner! Most definitely will come back!

A Very Authentic Experience ”
A very authentic Japanese ryokan. Good quality Kaiseki dinner option with locally sourced ingredients. And a soak in the original onsen is simply delightful. Would definitely stay again

2nd time here”
It's me and my wife's 2nd time staying at Nukumorino-Yado Furukawa. Nothing much has changed and that's why we like this place. Good authentic ryokan experience during the winter.

Exceptional”
Nukumorino was wonderful. The service was excellent and dinner (we opted for irori seating) was mouthwatering - it took 2 hours for us to complete our dinner! Special compliments to the staff who waited on us during the dinner - he was such an efficient worker and friendly too, it's such a pity I did not get his name. It was truly a traditional experience worth going for! :)

Fantastic Kaiseki Dinner (Multi Course Fine Dining) Experience in PJs (Japanese Yukata) !”
Location is smack right in the middle of Jozankei town area (is a pretty small town). Is quite an old ryokan but is spotless and well maintain. Staff are friendly and try their best to communicate in English, although the older male staff can be quite abrupt at times. My dad has a wheelchair and this place is quite handicap friendly. If you are having a meal at their Japanese restaurant (where buffet breakfast is served) please advise staff the day before if you need a western table and chair set up. This place also offers private onsen rooms - again you will need to reserve in advance. The general public onsen is located in another building (still connected to main building) which you need to listen and follow the instructions you receive upon check in. Highlight is their Kaiseki dinner experience - worth the amount we paid for a 1 night stay at this place. An absolutely fine dining experience in the most comfortable outfit - in a Yukata and house slippers!

Blissful! ”
Stayed here for one night with my 16 year old son. Booked the shuttle from Sapporo, so logistics were so easy. You need to pack nothing for this hotel — they have every amenity including cozy pants/jackets to wear around the property. The outdoor onsen on the 8th floor was my favorite; so peaceful with the sound of trickling water and the cool breezes.. Food was very good; we enjoyed the breakfast buffet more than the dinner though. Don’t miss the Hokkaido yogurt! Facilities were spotless, staff was lovely. 20 hours in paradise!

Rejuvenating authentic Japanese experience”
We absolutely loved our stay here- the dinner was one of the highlights of our entire trip to Japan. There is a convenient shuttle from Sapporo and free parking if you prefer to drive, and once you’re all checked in the only thing in your agenda is to eat delicious food and sit in an onsen. The hospitality is just incredible. We needed to use some Japanese language, in case that’s important to you, but we were the only foreigners there which made the experience even better. If we are ever able to visit Hokkaido again, we will absolutely be back.

Michelin Star ryokan”
A ryokan that gives you a rustic feel. It seems popular with locals ( mostly older folks), staff are friendly and service is just excellent. We booked a room with a private Onsen and my young daughter enjoyed it. Dinner was good but not fantastic though still much better than the breakfast. There is nothing much to do in Jozankei if you are not an Onsen buff.

Perfect rest”
Easy to access by shuttle bus at Oodori park(you can get off at Sapporo st. on back way), very kind steps, good dinner and breakfast and the private onsen(2,200yen per room) was not big but enough for two person & perfect.

Unique Japanese Ryokan Experience”
Overall the hotel stay was excellent. Staff are very friendly and helpful, but I felt they were a bit nervous in dealing with English-speaking guests. The private hot spring bath was a bit small - I'm 6-foot tall and I had some difficulties in fitting myself into the tub. The Japanese style dinner and breakfast were excellent. (N.B. This is the fourth onsen ryokan we had stayed in Japan).

Love the old decor and lovely food”
We took the Japanese room (superior) for the 3 of us and it was of a traditional Japanese style. It was also large and spacious. Slept on the futon which was surprisingly comfortable. The only issue was that the AC was weak. A fan would have been quite nice as it was a bit warm during summer. But we opened the windows and it was fine at night. The adjoining public onsen via the 4th floor bridge was great. We went there 2x a day. There were various pools of differing types - a large onsen, a hydrogen one, an outdoor one, a sauna and a flower onsen with tea coloured water. During the night it switches with the day one for each gender so each gender gets a feel of either onsen. However one really has to be naked except for a face towel to be placed in front for modesty. However the locals did not bother. After the 3-4th time, i did not bother too much. There is a lounge with refreshing lime-flavoured water. Also in the basement - a 150-year (?) old onsen which was free. Will come again.

Nice staff and considerate services”
Had a great and pleasant two-night stay at Hotel Munin. Staff was extremely helpful with the booking and was very reliable when we needed help. Each room has a mobile phone travelers can bring along with as they hang out.
