Great resort stay...”

big resort with private beach

My family and I were visiting Bali for the first time. As such, we would prefer to stay somewhere safe and after reading reviews at tripadvisor, we chose Nusa Dua Beach hotel and Spa located along the beautiful nusa dua beach. We were very surprised at the security of the hotel. First of all, there was a security check point upon entering the nusa dua area. Subsequently there was another security check point before entering the resort. The resort itself is huge. When we first step foot into the resort, we felt as if we had been transported to another world. Very cultural and balinese deco greeted us at the entrance to the resort and also the lobby. Checking in was a breeze and we were even escorted to our room by the front office staff. Walking further, we realised that the resort is even bigger than what we initailly thought. Rooms were clean and tidy with amenities appropriate and adequate. The beds were comfortable and each room comes with a flat screen TV with alot of international channels. Both of our rooms came with a balcony that overlooked the pool and garden area which was great. Bathrooms came with rainforest shower facility. There were a number of international restaurants located within the resort. Its alos a short walk to other 5 stars international hotesl and resorts located just beside ours. To our left are Club Med and Conrad and to our right; westin and laguna. So there were no shortage of eateries. However, the prices of these restaurants are expensive comparing local standards. Within Nusa Dua Beach hotel, there is a restaurant by the beach named "Chess" and there is live music during the evening. The atmosphere and ambience is simply romantic. The hotel itself has a large swimming pool that caters to different groups of users like children. There is a bar in the middle of the pool as well if you may need a drink while swimming. Within the resort there is also a spa and personally had not tried the spa packages here as the prices

Extremely relaxing all round”

More than one pool, pool bar, lovely service, great spa

nusa dua beach hotel and spa is perfect if you want a quiet getaway with minimal fuss. it has a lovely beach (although when we were there the tide went out by about 1pm) and even better pools and you really don't need to ever leave your hotel. which is probably for the best. nusa dua beach hotel and spa is very deep in the nusa dua complex which comprises of a number of hotels. it's not easy getting out to anywhere else in bali without getting a driver or a hotel-called taxi which isn't cheap if you'd like to do that every day. there's a shuttle bus the hotel provides but not to the bit outside nusa dua, instead driving to a shopping area that comprises of a sogo (a department store), a starbucks, some over-priced restaurants, a couple of small supermarket shops and some over-priced souvenir shops. this is also actually a lovely 10-15 min walk away from the hotel on the beach so you don't even need to wait for the shuttle! we had a very relaxing time at nusa dua beach hotel and spa, we were there for 4.5 days altogether and only ventured out once due to the location of the hotel. great for relaxing, not so great for easy sight-seeing.

Excellent Balinese style resort, great ammenities”

Swimming pools were excellent for young children, rooms were clean/comfortable and well laid out, and Beach was great

From beginning to end we were thrilled with our stay at the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel - we hardly wanted to leave! We wanted a Balinese style hotel, not a modern western style hotel, and this delivered perfectly. The buffet breakfasts were good - especially the pastries. Tip: we went at about 10 am just before the buffet closed and then we only needed a light snack to make it to dinner. We ate dinner at the hotel a few times - would definitely recommend the restaurant where you could get a table on the beach overlooking the ocean. However we usually went to the "Bali Collection" Mall - a beautiful short (10 minute) walk away along the Beach path. There they had many restaurants to choose from - our favourite was "Mai-Mai" - great food at a much lower cost than the hotels and resorts. They had good shopping there too but for the best deals you should go outside the gated resort community and bargain hard - start at about 20% of their initial asking price and settle between 25 and 50%. Don't be naive and pay the first price believe their quality claims! Shopping was probably best here 30 years ago and now much of what you see is tourist cr@p, the rest is severely overpriced. We opted for the premier room and were not disappointed - great size and layout with many traditional wood carved features. Beds were comfortable, nice balcony and TV had good English selection. We highly recommend The Nusa Dua Beach hotel.

Great Hotel with attentive, superb service”

Service, Location, Palace Club

we selected nusa dua beach hotel & spa because we we wanted to explore other areas of bali other then kuta and legian for a 4-day break. we found this place located at a nice white-sand beach with warm and calm waters. it is on the eastern side of nusa dua, approx 40 min by taxi from the airport. the ndbhs is part of a complex that is shared by a number of other 5-star hotels giving it private secluded, exclusive flair. the hotel itself is pristine and caters for all desires. well worth considering the palace club rooms and priveliges for a little more as it gives you stress free check-in/check-out, afternoon tea, cocktal hour in a very calm and relaxed garded setting, separate from teh rest of the rather large hotel. staff are extreme friendly and helpful. the pools are big and modern, the restaurants give you plenty of choices from casual to formal dining, plus the option to explore the other hotels alogside the beach. would definitely visit again & agian!

Beautiful hotel in every way”

spaciousness, stunning gardens, friendly, good food and much more

It is fair to say we have high expectations and are used to staying in 5 star hotels. We were very happy with the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel. The gardens are beautiful, rooms spacious, great breakfast and a good choice of food in three restaurants. Prices are reasonable for a 5 star hotel. The Spa was great with a lovely, peaceful swimming pool where those seeking rest and relaxation could seclude themselves. The beach is also a beautiful spot to spend the day. Everything is maintained to a very high standard and staff are friendly and helpful.Compared with other hotels on Nusa Dua Beach this hotel feels much more spacious having more garden space and a wide beach frontage. The others definitely felt cramped and more intensely developed. We will definitely go again and would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful hotel”

The pool, the garden, beautiful lobby, hospitable staff, awesome beach.
The bathroom was a litle small.

Me and my wife spent the last 3 days of our honeymoon in Bali at the Nusa Dua beach hotel & spa in a deluxe garden view room. We stayed in room no 3016 and it had one of the most beautiful garden view. The staff was very hospitable. We carried some packaged food as I have issues in eating the authentic bali food cooked in palm oil. The house keeping was kind enough to heat our packaged food and serve it properly without any issues. Buffet breakfast (included in our room rent) was sumptuous. The adjoining Nusa Dua beach was awesome. I have no hesitation to recommend this hotel to anyone who comes to Nusa Dua.

Gorgeous hotel with modern amenities”

Fantastic food, great pool and deluxe rooms

Being a frequent visitor of Bali I was excited to try another resort in the luxurious area of Nusa Dua and true to form I was not disappointed!! The Nusa Dua Beach Resort was lovely and perfect for my needs....relaxation, distress and good eating!! The resort has recently been refurbished and the deluxe rooms are gorgeous. The resort also has many different restaurants to choose from including a pizzeria which serves some of the best pizzas I’ve ever eaten. The buffet breakfast is lovely as is the service of the staff. The two main pools are stunning and the beach is at your doorstep. You would be crazy not to try the Nusa Dua Beach Resort - sure the prices of the food are somewhat more expensive than say, Kuta, but the quality is second to none and let’s be honest who eats in the same hotel breakfast, lunch and dinner!!

Nusa Dua Beach Hotel”

Service, privacy
Treatments in the spa overpriced

We have stayed at Nusa Dua Beach Hotel 4 times. As always from the moment I opened my eyes in the morning till the time I went back my neatly turned down bed it was ideal. Early morning yoga, walking along the beach and a swim before an amazing breakfast .. reading in one of the many quiet areas before water aerobics then retiring to the beach ... magnificent and reasonably priced fruit platters for lunch ... a ' free ' visit to the spa, steam room and sauna before Happy Hour at the Chess Bar. Dinner in the room or at the wonderful Pizza Bar ... or a visit to one of the local restaurants where they send a taxi and bring you back to the hotel. The staff always ready to assist when I forgot my key, such happy Balinese faces. Easy access to the Computer room to check life was going on at home . A perfect venue rest and relaxation away from the crowds.

Huge property”

The resort is located inside the highly secured BTDC. You will pass through two security check point. We chose the property because it is one of the few beach front properties in Nusa Dua. If you like to have peace and quiet then this is a perfect choice. There are not as much people on the beach. You will not run out of beach beds placed under the trees lined up at the beach. Its just that Nusa Dua is far from almost every place you will be visiting while in Bali. Our room was beautiful, clean and well maintained. It was a short walk away from the pool. The breakfast is good too, only that the food selection were fewer than other resorts I have visited. There are a number of restaurants at the hotel. If you can't pick from any of them, you can walk by the beach to other properties and check-out their restaurants. There is also a mall nearby called Bali Collection. They have free shuttle going to and from the hotel. The hotel offers a lot of activities to make your stay fun.

best hotel ever - service consistently excellent!”

A true haven - the grounds and lobby are nothing short of breathtaking.

without question this was the best overall hotel experience i have ever had and i have travelled extensively throughout asia - thailand, singapore, hong kong, cambodia etc. the hotel staff were all so friendly, polite and professional from the senior reception personnel to the tradesmen painting the lift lobby and this speaks volumes for the management culture and the obvious sense of pride that all the staff have at the nusa dua beach hotel and spa. breakfast was excellent, room maintenance was outstanding, grounds stunning and the food whilst expensive (as is the case for all the nusa dua strip hotels) was good value for money as it was top notch. in summary, great hotel

Relaxation, Luxury and Security”

One of the greatest assets of Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Spa, are the incredibly helpful and pleasant staff. Nothing is too much trouble and we all (5 adults) found this to be the case. Breakfast was plentiful and had enough variety to suit most people. All alcoholic beverages were value for money - you could taste the alcohol so there was no scrimping on the pouring. The many options for meals and nightly entertainment were a positive attribute..I highly recommend the lamb cutlets! I know of another couple visits who ordered them four out of their seven night stay! Romantic Dinner for 2 arranged with full table service, floral decorations, personalised menu with souvenir take home copy and champagne too, in the wedding bale over looking the ocean- partners, well worth the $ to impress your loved one...lots of green eyes of envy on the lucky girl taken out. The rooms are a bit dated, but they are clean and spacious - you can even coax a squirrel onto the balcony if you try!

Great Location, Gardens, Amenities & Service

We stayed at the Palace Club of the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa. The Palace Club service are outstanding, with private concierge, complimentary breakfast, tea time and evening drinks, private Palace Club lounge, ample and well furnished rooms. The staff is very gentle, friendly and helpful. Everything is accurately taken care and well managed. We needed to change our travel plans and re-book flights and we had the full assistance of our private Palace Club concierge (different from the general hotel one). The gardens and the view from the Palace Club Lounge at breakfast, tea time and for the evening drink are outstanding (lake view with in-garden temple). The other amenities are very good, including the Spa, the 3 pools (kids, regular and sandy lagoon) and the restaurants (of different genre for all tastes).

Pool Area, Service, Gardens, Location.
Beach was ok, not worth complaining about though.

We only managed to stay one night here after spending 6 nights in Seminyak in a 4 star hotel. Staying here made me wish that id stayed here my entire trip. They made you feel special even though we only staying there 1 night. Service was A1, the pools were fantastic. The beaches were way better then those along the Kuta/Legian strip but i have seen way better beaches in Australia. The hotel beach had white sand at least. The hotel grounds were immaculate and beautiful to walk around. The restaurant by the pool was very reasonably priced ($8 Aust) for a main and was great quality. We have a 8 month old baby and we utilised the baby sitting services. The lady was excellent. We loved it that much that we have decided to cancel our plans to get married in Samoa and instead get married at the Nusa Dua Beach Resort and Spa.

Amazingly beautiful place”

pools, nice breakfast buffet, great food, amazing kecak show and seafood buffet

We stayed at Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Spa for five nights (not long enough!) We really enjoyed the nice room, the great food, the pools were amazing. One huge pool with a swim up bar and the other pool has a beach like entry with sandy bottom. One of our highlights was the buffet meal on the Sunday night with the Kecak show (traditional Balinese singing and dancing). The grounds are really nicely decorated also. We really enjoyed the Chess Restaurant down by the beach, the Caesar Salad and Pavlova were great! We would definitely return to Nusa Dua again if we can someday!!

Beautiful hotel on a beautiful beach!”

The spa is spectacular.

Our stay at the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel was so relaxing. It is located on a pristine beach that is quiet. If you are looking to get away from it all, this is the place. If you need a little more action and nightlife, you might want to look at a different beach. The hotel does offer a shuttle bus to other areas however. The spa is wonderful and offers many different services. If you want a little local flare, a small downtown is within walking distance where you can shop and eat at a local restaurant. If you just want to stay at the hotel, there are plenty of dining choices. The grounds and rooms were well kept. The pool bar was the best, with a bartender that has been with the hotel for years!

Fantastic Christmas at Nusa Dua”

Had a lovely Christmas week here with my wife. Our first room was not exactly what we had envisioned. After speaking with one of the managers, they were very kind and for a very reasonable price increase, we were put in a rather large suite, along with Palace privileges. Thank you Mr. Putu, for making our stay at the resort very memorable. All the staff are wonderful, and the hotel is absolutely gorgeous. We looked at other resorts around the Nusa Dua during our stay, and all we could say was how cookie cutter they all were. Not the Nusa Dua. You know you're in Bali, when you stay here. Also special thanks to all the fantastic staff in the Palace Club area. Always enjoyed going there, and your Balinese warmth to welcome us. If we ever stay in Nusa Dua again, this is the resort we'll come to.

Amazing beach, lovely location, older hotel”

Lovely beach and facilities

If you are looking for a place in Nusa Dua, this is a good choice. You are in a closed community and coild really just stay on the resort if you needed to just have a good rest. The rooms facing the pool and close to the beach are especially nice. The bathroom is nice and thoughtfully designed with good lighting ( not something we found much on Bali) and the room is roomy with a very comfortable bed. The patio is nice tho' not terribly private with a half wall between you and the neighbor. The patio furniture was not in great shape and the cushions were worn. The beach is lovely but some guests think that putting a towel on one of the few chairs with shade reserves it all day whether they are there or not. We disagreed and simply moved them. Good breakfast with lots of choices tho' as a vegetarian, I would have appreciated clearer signs about the contents of dishes. Overall, a good choice. We rented a car so we had a lot of freedom while staying in Nusa Dua - the best of both worlds!

NUSA DUA BEACH HOTEL”

nice quite location far from the crowds, Very good service, Great SPA
Very expensive, Food options are somewhat limited,

The Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and SPA is an old and reputed hotel located in nusa dua. The hotel has got very good lawns , swimming pools and has direct access to the beach and is thus a great place for anyone wanting to have a relaxing vacation. The spa is amazing and has all facilities from sports(tennis, basketball, squash, bicicles) and spa facilities. The negetive part is the food is quite expensive and with the extra 21% govt tax its exorbitant. it is in nusa dua area which is far from busy areas like kuta and ubud. Hence a person looking for nightlife and activities should opt for a resort in the more active areas.

Fine location”

Good beach/ fine location/ excellent breakfast

This was our second time in Nusa Dua area but the first in Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Spa. Everything here is huge, from the hotel lobby, to the pools, public areas, restaurants, etc. The rooms do not follow the same rules, because they look smaller and needs a decorator to update . However, their where clean, with a big bed, and just for one day, its really ok. The beach its long and its look much better than before, but pay attention to the tide, or else, forget a plunge in the water. Since Nusa Dua its a peninsula with many fine hotels, you can choose a lot a decent restaurants by the beach for lunch or dinner. The hotel provides many recreations, and in the beach you can rent a boat and have a nice trip. Like many other places, you must face a big number of people trying to sell many local artifacts, and thats annoying. The hotel its just 30 minutes from Denpasar airport

Great Resort and Rooms”

Rooms are awesome

Really love Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Spa, its location is great, away from the hustle and bustle of kuta when you want to relax or you can just grab a taxi which doesnt cost much to the shopping areas. Lots of things to do at the resort. Well maintained, really friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are lovely. I enjoyed staying here and will keep coming back to the resort when visiting Bali.
