Owner is okay, but the area is far out and the room itself was very disappointing-- no bed sheets (only bed skirt used as a bed sheet), small fleece blanket on top, bathroom was not very clean, and there was a rooster very loud echoing throughout the room from 4AM onward... For the money, I would suggest not booking anything online before traveling to Nusa Penida and finding nicer accommodation for around the same price elsewhere.

Bad environment and unfriendly staff”
The room is way too small, noisy and not really clean. No lockers or any system to protect your valuable. Anytime I asked something to the owner he seemed bothered and made me wait ages even to tell me what to see around. Same for the check in, he was at the laptop and I waited one hour for it. They don't know the meaning to work in hospitality

Not recommended”
The room is very small, no air circulation, no lock or key at the door. I'm afraid to leave my stuff at the room because there is no lock. The bed wasn't ready to use because I need to put the bedsheet by myself. The restaurant area not really clean and the staff not really friendly. The toilet is at the restaurant and is quite not comfortable to walk from the room to the toilet. So, I choose to move out since first night, the receptionist not refund my money but I choose to let it go. Better choose another place.

Great staff!”
The staff were so kind and helpful at this bungalow. The accomodation was basic and needs improvement.

Not welcoming at all”
Manager did not do a good job of making us feel welcome. We thought he was a bit rude. We have stayed much better places on Bali for the same price. Room wasn't cleaned. The bed was terrible. And the bedding even worse: we are two people (one of us being two meters) and we're given a small pink fleece (in this warmth!) that did not nearly cover half of us. We had to find towels (which also seemed very old) to help. Breakfast wasn't included and the breakfast we then paid for was extremely sparse and not anything worth mentioning. On the positive side it is a good place to meet fellow travellers.

Friendly but basic accommodation”
Helpfulness of owners, decor, privacy
Artem and his wife (and daughters) were friendly and helpful during our stay. They organised a motorbike to rent while we were there, as well as snorkelling equipment and a snorkelling boat trip. There's always someone around to answer a question, serve you a meal or organise something. Breakfast every morning is freshly prepared and delicious. The double rooms are large and airy, if a little worn out. Worth mentioning that most bathrooms in Nusa Penida have a combined toilet/shower and cold water. The gardens are beautifully decorated with frangipanis and mango trees (which you can eat!) which also creates a sounds barrier and privacy. The bungalows are a good introduction to Nusa Penida as they're close to the harbour and decent, but if you're looking for something beyond basic for the same price, there are lots of other places further away on the island.
