Best Guest House in Nuwara Eliya-Hill Rest”
Perfect, the best guesthouse I ever stayed, clean, beautiful room, service good, helpful, very considerate, communicable in English, breakfast awesome(you must order it to feel their kindness), all you need is here. within 5 minutes walk to the bus station. I hope I can come and stay here to enjoy the holiday again.

Excellent stay and convenient location”
The place is just a 5 minute walk away from the Town centre through a shortcut. However, that path is not well lit at night. The room is well furnished and the water heater works well. Hot water bottles are provided to get you through the cold nights. TV has cable channels for you to enjoy at night. Breakfast here is decent and you can choose between Continental or Sri Lankan.

Welcoming and superb hospitality ”
A family-run accommodation, no fuss and it was easy to get around with short cuts and directions given by them. It is a little off the main street but it was no major issue for us. Facilities were good. There is a shower system to follow so as to ensure we have hot water running. :) I enjoyed my breakfast! Hope to be back soon.

It was like arriving home!! The beds and pillows ultra comfortable, hor water bottles if needed, very clean and a most welcoming host. To be given information about Nuwara Eliya and places to go in such an enthusiastic way without being pushy was very welcome. The family cannot do enough to make your stay enjoyable.

The Guesthouse is perfect located next to Victoria Park. Really nice owner with lovely family. The breakfast was fresh and tasty. Only the bed was a bit hard.

Good home stay with owners available to give all guidance ”
We had a good 2 days stay. The owners take good care and provide all valuable guidance for the place, that make the real value addition. The location is good with close to city center and Victoria garden. The only thing which could have been better was the the family room size, it was bit small. Its a recommended place.

Charming Homestay”
Located within walking distance to Victory Park and city area via a shortcut. Staff were friendly and helpful, the Father and Son spoke good English. Room was clean and charming. Although no heater was installed in the room, we felt comfortable and warm under the thick cover. However, we had some problem with the water heater.

we only stayed for a night before heading to Horton Plains next morning. this place is a family owned guest house. Small room but comfortable. We received warm welcome from the owner and he gave a good advise on hiking Horton .

Not a resort but a home stay”
It's not a resort...its a home stay. Good for one night. The rooms were good and clean. The staff was very helpful. On the improvement part. The breakfast should have been better...I got Srilankan breakfast...which could have been a little bit better

Lovely owners. ”
When you book a room, it's all about comfortable beds and the location. You can get an impression from the pictures, but it's always exciting when you arrive. When we arrived at Hills Rest all of these expectations were fulfilled. But what you can't know by looking at pictures is the kindness and the lovely welcome we got from the owners. The hosts were so helpful all the time and did everything to make our stay as good as possible. They even made us breakfast and drove us to the bus station _early_ in the morning. They speak really good English, and I learned a lot about Sri Lanka from the owner, while talking to him and drinking really, really good coffee. If we're going back to Nuwara Eliya in our lifetime(hope so), this is the place we will stay. Thank you so much for our stay!

Nice owner and good service. We booked a first-floor room, but we'd like to stay upstairs and he fulfilled our wish with no extra payment. He booked us a tour to Horton Plains with fair price and the driver was great. The hotel is located in the center.

Very comfortable and clean... up-to-date rooms with an old-fashioned feel, and very helpful, friendly hosts. Just a park between you and the city, so quiet and convenient.

We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. The owners are a very friendly and interested family. At night we had dinner at the hotel. We got an excellent rice&curry with explanation of all the vegetables and ingredients used.

Room was ok. Additional price for the heaters. It’s not a hotel style more towards a house style. Staff was friendly and service was good. We had to pay by cash. Pos machines and online payment systems were not available. (Hope they will improve on these)
