A lovely stay on an unspoilt island”
My boyfriend and I spent 6 days on Camiguin Island. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great, but the resort really made the difference: Ilenia & Stefano (the owners) together with the rest of the staff are really friendly and always ready to help, the cottages and huts are lovely, the garden is as close to heaven as you can get, breakfasts and dinners are homemade and food tastes delicious, they rent out motorbikes that you can comfortably ride around the island. We loved our stay in Camiguin...such an unspoilt little island with friendly and smiley people, fun activities and nice food. We suggest this destination to anyone who is willing to have a less touristic experience. If you travel there, don't miss Nypa Style Resort...you won't be disappointed!

Beautiful Tropical Garden Setting ”
The atmosphere of this place just can’t be beat. Attention is given to every aesthetic detail. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the owners make sure to make every one of the guests feel welcome on a daily basis. The restaurant is charming and the food is delicious. The continental breakfast is so tasty and healthy and plenty of food to get you through the morning! My only complaint is that the level of the bathroom floor in our cabin should be fixed so that any water that sprays out from the shower goes down the floor drain instead of collecting in front of the bathroom door. I slipped on that puddle going into the bathroom and injured myself pretty bad. Besides that, I really can’t recommend this place enough; we loved our stay at Nypa Style Resort and will definitely stay there again if we ever go back to Camiguin!

Great host, garden and food, well maintained place”
We are a young couple in mid twenties and we are moderately experienced in beach/island trips. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nypa in terms of the value, services, facilities. There are three bungalows, which is self-explanatory that there will be some small insects and gekkos. We found the bungalow acceptably clean and beds comfortable, with daily cleaning and hot showers. The bungalows come with awesome decks overlooking the beautiful garden. It is a place maintained with love. The location was a bit off the beach which we found pleasant as Camiguin is not a huge island anyway. In terms of the service, Ile and Stefano could not do enough and their tour recommendations were excellent, agreeable. We enjoyed just having a conversation with them and their dogs and cats, which were adorable and well-trained. The totality of their service/product offering is also excellent as they offered reliable and reasonably priced transfers to ferry and airport, as well as a rental scooter. There were also other activities like in-house massage services and private yoga lessons. We are sad that we had tried their dinner only on our last night at Nypa because the food was the absolute best Italian we have tried in Asia and one of the best globally. Our menu was pumpkin Gnocchi and it was heavenly. We miss Nypa, Ile and Stefano already and the best wishes to them.

Truly Paradise”
I loved my 4 days at Nypa Style Resort and wish I could have stayed much longer! The grounds were beautiful and very well maintained. Everything in the place was sparkling clean. The location is great - short walk to the main road, and a short ride into town. The staff and owners were hospitable and made me feel welcome. I am looking forward to returning to this peaceful paradise,

Excellent”
I really like the place, especially the simple yet elegant Nipa houses. The spacious and landscaped garden is relaxing and gives you peace of mind. Staff are nice and accommodating as well. But, it would be a plus if there is a ready toothpaste and toothbrush for the guests just like in any other place. I hope there is also a better electric fan next time. But, will definitely recommend this to a friend. I wish to meet the owner of the Nypa Style Resort (like a welcoming treat).

Our stay was truly amazing. Nypa style resort is a unique and amazing place to stay. The staff and owners are friendly and welcoming and the restaurant is brilliant. We spent time at a couple of other resorts and Nypa is best. My wife and I plan to return.

A most welcome solitude”
We were very happy with our stay at Nypa Style Resort. Our cottage was very spacious. We loved the garden. We looked forward to returning to our cottage after each day of touring the island because we can rest in quiet. Our room was cleaned daily and the bed and bathroon always put in order when we return. The couple who owned the resort were warm and friendly. They offered very useful tips to our vist in the island. We noted however that the resort does not provide a daily supply of drinking water. A pitcher and glasses had to be requested all the time from the reception. There is no electric kettle to heat water for late night tea or coffee. Bath towels were not also replaced daily. Bath soap is not provided.

Really nice and special experience”
Great days in Nypa Style, the staff treat us really nice plus the atmosphere and attention to details was superb. Fantastic for couples but also for families since the cottages were very big and onfortable and the outside is perfect for kids playing. The spa was great experience true. Some of the italian dishes were very nice and their own made bread was rare to find in such a place! delicious!

"MESMERIZING IN THE MORNING, CREEPY AT NIGHT"”
We arrived here early in the morning after taking the first ferry ride from CDO to Camiguin port. We rented a motorcycle from a local man at the port. On our way, I'd say it's kinda far from the main road since you really need to ride a (habal-habal) motorcycle going inside a long uncemented rocky path unless you want to walk from the main road (which I don't recommend). You have to pass through coconut trees and there's no much residence along the way. We were greeted by the lady in the reception area and they have even written my name on the chalkboard guest list which is very warm. We strolled around and found the place really peaceful and relaxing. So we went to our tour around the island of Camiguin and decided to have our dinner in a local restaurant near the market. Heading home, we cannot clearly see the signboard as it not quite visible at night. And on our way back to the place, I found it really creepy since we have to take the same way and everything was really dark which is not good for tourists heading back here after their tour. Upon arrival, there are few lights around the area which I think is not enough for the place. Problem emerged when my companion complained about the severe pain in his stomach, there are no nearby hospitals or clinic so I went to the restaurant to check if they have available medicine but there's none. I'm left with no option and they suggested for me to buy turmeric juice instead but of course I paid for it. There's nothing much they can offer. And the thing is, the restaurant is already closed at 9pm so you cannot anymore talk to any of their staff if in case you need anything else. There is no staff as well in the reception area. I just recommend for them to have medicine available for purchase in case of emergency and to put more lights around the place. Overall, the place was nice but it needs improvement at certain areas.

Quiet, well decorated, close to everything but away from the noise of the main road. The staff and the owners are extremely helpful and nice, and the restaurant is top notch! A hidden jewel in Camiguin!

Peaceful place owned by adorable people ”
We stayed 4 days at Nypa, It was a wonderful experience. The hotel is centrally located but very quiet. The place is decorated with taste, The owners, a couple of Italian, are installed in Caminguin for a long time and are very helpful. The cherry on the cake : the coffee and the food are very good !

Tropical oasis ”
The immaculately maintained gardens are a delight to be surround by. The white bungalow was delightful with a wonderful deck area and was very spacious inside. Considering the surrounds and style of the nypa hut, some bugs do make there way inside, but it's all part of the experience. The breakfast menu is extensive with options to suit everybody and reasonable prices. All staff are very helpful and the Italian owners make a pretty great cup of coffee.

Brilliant Resort!!!”
We loved our stay at this resort! It is only about a five minute walk from the main road, but it feels like you are staying in a very peaceful remote area. The grounds and gardens are beautiful, and it is extremely quiet and relaxing. We stayed in the Bungalow Suite, which was spacious, comfortable and quiet. The small natural pool on the premises is very refreshing. The owners, Stefano and Ilena are very welcoming and helpful. We ate at the restaurant every day and everything we ate was outstanding, We are both vegetarian and there were more than enough options. The staff is amazing and the four rescue dogs and the cats that you share the resort with are an added bonus as far as we are concerned. We can't wait to stay there again!

Relaxing oasis”
A lovely place. The spacious wooden beach bungalows are set around a well maintained tropical garden in such away that they feel private. We stayed in the "White Bungalow". I would highly recommend this bungalow for its magnificent views of the tranquil garden. Filipino staff and western owners are great. Big square mosquito nets over the beds, crisp clean white linen with the beds being made everyday. I would advise staying here over any where else on the island as its the best beach bungalow resort we have ever stayed in.

Fantastic stay”
Overall this was a very pleasant stay. It exceeded our expectations by miles. The food has been some of the best we've been eating in the Philippines yet. The menu changes everyday and everything is homemade. From the bread to the pasta and the yoghurt to the jam. The staff and owners are such nice people and very friendly. The resort is so cosy, and very quiet at night. This is a must try!

We enjoyed our stay from the first second we stepped into this little paradise. The whole property and bungalows are very clean and well maintained.its very green and you can easily spend your day there, relaxing in the hammock, using the pool or reading a book on the couch of the restaurant or on your own balcony. Ilena and stephano were always happy to help us with whatever we needed. In general both were always open for conversations. The food is simply delicious! Everything is self made (pasta, gnocchi, bread...) If we would come back we would definitely stay there again!

Divine Surprise”
A very good surprise, with a marvelous Eden garden, generous, clean and well maintained bungalows, excellent menus for breakfast and diner and two friendly and careful owners which make the stay there like a family stay. It would have been 100% perfect with a better Wi-Fi... or maybe no Wi-Fi at all!

Beautiful tropical surroundings and peaceful”
The stay her was so nice..the owners are accessible and will do anything to make your stay at the hotel and on the island enjoyable. The Hotel bungalows are large and quiet...the whole complex is very tropical and many beautiful plants. By motorbike you can see the Island and many things it has to offer. Overall a peaceful, relaxing place with a very helpful and kind staff! The massage is great too!
