Exceptional”

The O & B Athens Boutique Hotel far exceeded my expectations. My boyfriend and I spent three nights here last month and couldn’t have been happier with our stay. We were greeted upon arrival with an orientation to and map of the area from Elvis, an incredibly friendly and helpful concierge at the hotel. As we were getting settled in our room, the hotel sent up a welcome tray of light bites and shots of a local liquor. Such a warm welcome! Elvis helped us kindly throughout our stay with restaurant recommendations and directions and offered to prepare us to go breakfasts when he learned we had an early morning departure to the airport. The included daily breakfast was delicious with a lot of variety. We loved the neighborhood of Psiri and found it to be central to all the sights we wanted to see while in Athens. I would highly recommend the O & B to those traveling to Athens. The service outshined much more expensive hotels I’ve stayed in other cities. This is a gem!

Amazing Staff Clean Hotel”

What makes O+B Athens stand out is their incredibly friendly and helpful staff. I had read the reviews and this is why I chose this place - and they were all true. The hotel is also a good value. The rooms are clean and modern, and the breakfast was very good. The location is pretty good - just a couple of blocks off the Psiri restaurant district, about 5 minutes to Monesteraki square and station and close to Thissio. Don't be scared off by the graffiti nearby, it is pretty universal in Athens and this neighborhood is fine, although the actual street it is on is not scenic. To me the trade off was well worth it.

What a wonderful little boutique hotel in Athens”

The staff, the service, and the location!

Athens is chaotic and noisy, loved it, but what a wonderful treat to come back at the end of the day and be staying here, at the O & B Boutique Hotel! The staff is welcoming, so helpful, and very gracious. The facility is immaculate and comfortable, and their location is so convenient to everything you want to see!

Perfectly located in Athens”

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. The staff were fantastic. It's the little things that matter like getting off a 21 hour flight, navigating the public transport system, getting lost because you took a left, but really they meant the "other" left and then once you finally arrived they give you a cool drink, check you in efficiently and quickly get you up to your room and then you get a knock on the door with a tray of traditional treats. The location is literally a 5 min walk from the Monastiraki train station which is central to everything. You walk out the hotel door and straight in front of you a view of the Acropolis. There are ruins literally around every corner and all in comfortable walking distance from the hotel. A word to the wise, good walking shoes are a must in Athens.

Best beds I've ever slept in”

Bed, location, view

We had a superb view of the acropolis from our Acropolis suite. The room was lovely and I had the best nights sleep there I've had in years. The bed was so comfortable and the pillows very good quality and for me this is a mark of a great hotel and something that you don't often find outside of America. Whilst the hotel is in a very quiet street, its just round the corner from Plaka and the ancient part of the city which is all walkable. We really enjoyed our two days in Athens at the start of the holiday, but it was so hot we were quite happy to leave and head for the coast, the sea and the swimming pools. I'd highly recommend this boutique hotel which has so much more charm than staying in somewhere like the Hilton. The staff were very friendly and helpful and attentive to our needs both before, and during our stay.

The staffs were beyond exceptional ”

So far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in Europe. Their service was exceptionally GOOD. I lost my passport on the first day I arrived Athens, the hotel receptionist helped me out to contact the embassy and assisted me to the nearest police station. Fortunately, three days later, someone from the Ministry of Culture in Athens has found my passport, however I couldn’t collect from the person by myself as I was in Santorini and so I asked if the receptionist named Ellia (lady who works for the evening shift) could collect on behalf of me. The next day she collected for me before going to work and that is why I need to give her a big shoutout. The hotel manager knew that I’ve lost my money and everything and so he gave me a 50% discount and have upgraded me to a suite room facing the acropolis. Location is great, just a 20mins walk to acropolis. Breakfast choices are limited however it’s delicious. Room is clean and the bathroom is super big. Overall, 100% recommended to stay here!

Excellent stay”

Staff, location and service

We stayed for only two nights prior to leaving for Santorini. It was about 15-20min. walk from subway station. Upon arrival, the reception gave us a warm welcome, including showing on a map how to get to the closest attractions and best restaurants around. The welcome drink and snack was great - we loved it. Room was clean, modern and free wifi was provided. Bathroom amenities were top notch, and shower was great. Overall we'd stay again at this boutique hotel next time we visit Athens!

Lovely stay after Christmas in Athens at the O&B”

Fantastically friendly, helpful, knowledgeable desk staff; excellent, convenient location; lovely ambience/decor

Our family group (parents, adult kids + friends) really enjoyed our stay at the O&B hotel (3 nights between Christmas and New Year). We had 3 lovely rooms (Superior Double, Petite Suite and Junior Suite). Breakfast every morning was excellent (buffet style incl. scrambled + fried eggs, cereals, rolls, cakes, fruit, Greek yogurt, freshly squeezed OJ - as well as made-to-order pancakes + waffles). We got excellent tips for restaurants and transport from the desk staff. We were completely satisfied with our stay - really one of the best hotel experiences we have had in years of traveling.

Enjoyable stay, would return”

We had a very pleasant experience at O&B. We were checked in by Arthi (not sure of spelling) and she went out of her way to show us the map and tell us about where the attractions are in the area and was able to answer all our questions. The room is small but clean and comfortable. Well sized bathroom. Breakfast is served till 11am which is nice if you want to sleep in :) The location of the hotel was very conveninet and there were lots of bars, restaurants and shops within walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return and recommend the hotel to anyone else.

Friendly service, clean, breakfast

Second time here and now a firm favourite for an Athens stopover on way from islands. The hotel is clean and modern and designed with much attention to detail. The location is close to the sites of Athens and close to loads of places to eat and drink. 21 was recommended to us by the hotel and its a great local eatery. What sets this hotel apart is the excellent service. The staff are friendly, efficient and do all they can to help you. Good, fast, free internet. Breakfast is very good with a good range of food and a comfortable place to eat.

superb hotel, wonderful location, excellent staff”

We stayed here for 1 night as part of our honeymoon and regret it wasn't longer. The hotel was in an ideal spot to explore Athens, walking distance to shopping, restaurants and key sights e.g. Acropolis. The hotel itself was clean, spacious and had a contemporary interior design. We were given an upgrade which was a lovely gesture, along with welcome drinks and chocolates. The staff were superb; Very friendly, accommodating and provided good tips on Athens. Finally, breakfast the following day was great. Highly recommended.

Hotel with good service & location”

All the staff were super friendly & helpful. We were served with welcome drinks and local snack upon arrival. The location was good, 15 mins walk to Acropolis and 10 mins walk to Plaka streets with souvenirs and restaurant. Room was clean, it will be better if the toilet have folding glass door to prevent water to splash all over they floor. Breakfast range was decent and the food was good. The staff even packed for us breakfast to-go set when we move out 6am to catch early flight. We have booked 2 more night with the same hotel after we come back from Santorini. Would recommend this hotel to those who is going to Athens

Flawless experience”

Luxurious, gourmet food, incredible customer service

This was such a lovely little hotel. The breakfast spread was to-die-for. The staff was super friendly and professional, and the customer service was just out of this world good. They went above and beyond expectations in every single aspect our stay. The room was small, but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very large. They had a selection of DVDs we could rent to watch in our room, which was nice, because Athens was fairly closed down over Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, etc. This place is totally worth it. The location is great too, we were able to walk to everything we wanted to see, and it was close to a lot of restaurants, coffee shops, stores, etc.

Fantastic quite location in the best area in Athen”

Niceley furnitured, trendy hotel, located in an interesting neighborhood, literally a block away from the most exciting area in Athens, right next to all the archeological sites, restaurants, tavernas and the Akropolis. Walking distance to tourist or regular shopping also. Fantastic breakfast. Some rooms have a nice view. The welcome drink and mezes are a nice touch.
The rooms are on the small site but this is not the place where you would want to spend much time in the room considering the sites that are literally steps away and the views of the Akropolis and the ancient Agora! Hard to stop a passing taxi as they do not like to pick up people with luggage for short distances, and calling a taxi takes a while.

Nice trendy decor, interesting trendy neighoorhood steps away from the archeological sites of Athens, including the Akropolis, the ancient Agora and new Akropolis museum. The breakfast is very nice and fresh. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The rooms are a bit small but this is not a place where you would want to spend much time in the room. Fantastic location and importantly is quiet while you are still steps away from Athens nightlife.

Service, location, cleanliness

Stayed there for three nights. Small, fresh hotel with nice staff, and comfortable and clean rooms. Central location, with just 5 minutes walk from Monastiraki, Plaka and shopping area. Also at walking distance from Akropolis. Outside the hotel, the surroundings look a little bit rough, with grafitti on the walls. It was however safe, nothing to worry about.

Location and Staff made this hotel”

This was a family trip, six of us for my parents 60th anniversary. We solely picked this hotel for the guests reviews and it didn't disappoint. My parents are 87 and 81 and my mother is on a wheelchair. As soon as we arrived to the narrow street in front of the hotel Miltos the front desk agent came out and greeted us, helping us with our bags. Once inside Miltos appointed my parents room and he upgraded them to a suite since we had the wheel chair, AWESOME gesture, the rooms were very clean and had various amenities. Once we were settled we came down to the desk and Gerry helped us with restaurants and how to explore the city and to our surprise we were in the middle of everything 10 min walk to the entrance of the Acropolis, several tavernas, cafes and restaurants from a minute walk to a 20 min walk. Metro station is a 5 min walk. Iliana the night front desk person along with Gerry set up our breakfast boxes for our early tour pick up simply thoughtful. YES WE WILL RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL

I usually stay at big chain hotels to guarantee quality. I was thrilled with this stay. Everything about it is great. Don’t let the neighborhood worry you, Athens is like NYC in the 70’s when I grew up there - safe but too many kids with time on their hands so lots of graffiti. 5 stars across the board.

It was my only time in Athens so far, so I can't really compare with other hotels in the same city. But I can compare with other hotels around the world. And this one gets a very good rate. Everything you need will be provided because the staff is so nice. Facilities are good enough too. Wonderful.
