GOOD VALUE FOR THE PRICE!!”

Large bed, very clean and tidy with new toilets and hot shower with a lot of pression

I booked for 1 night and ended up staying 4. It's a very clean dorm accessible from the street. It's the newest hostel in Phi Phi with it's large beds (larger than others I've seen). I think they made some changes after the previous reviews because the toilets/showers are very new and super clean. Staff cleans the bedroom 2x a day and the toilets at least 3x. Only 14 beds in the room and because it's a bit remote from the center (3 min walk for phi phi) it's very quiet and calm, perfect for a good night of sleep after going out! Magnetic key for front door and small seize locker for personnal effects as well. I would recommend this hostel! It's close to the main attractions, between both beaches and close to the cheap and delicious DMC and COSMIC restaurants! It's been a must for me!

Good but...”

Clean BEDS, location, AC

...It's a good place: big clean & comfy beds, one locker per person with our own key, AC between 18h30 and 10am, fans... But, the showers are not sealed so you have chances to see cockroaches inside. I saw one; it was freaking big and discusting... But I think the owners are putting product to kill them since it was dead the next morning.. (I took my shower anyway, it depends on how you can deal with it!) The place is pretty safe, you have a magnetic card to enter the room from outside and yes, this hostel is only one room (14 beds) with two toilets and two showers, don't expect any common area: only a bench just outside to put our shoes on, in front of the reception desk that is outside as well. However, there are so many restaurants, bars and stuff to see in Koh Phi phi, you won't stay in your hostel. It is still one of the cheapest and was pretty close to the Pier. I had difficulties to find it though; people didn't know where it was! DIRECTIONS: from the Pier, turn right on the main street that goes straight in the village. You have to walk about 5 min and turn left when you see a scuba diving place to your right hand side (you will pass several little shops first); the O2 hostel is right next to the DMC restaurant (ask for this restaurant). If you walked 15min, with your luggages, you are too far!

Basic but Good Hostel ”

Location, facilities, environment

The main thing I was worried about in Phi Phi was staying at a place where I can't get a quiet night in if I needed. O2 is a 2 min walk to the pier in a quiet street where you can easily walk to the parties at night and still be well rested. The beds are basic beds you expect from a Thai hostel. There is only 14 beds in the hostel so if you make an effort to know everyone, you can make it a really fun place to stay where everyone knows one another. The air con is blasting too so for once I had a wear a tee shirt to bed. Wifi is generally decent but can be spotty. A tip is to go to the restaurant right beside the hostel and get their wifi password for whenever the o2 one goes awry. My one complaint though is that there are ants on the walls in the shower. As well, I saw a some sort of two-inch big insect in the shower area. It doesn't really affect me but it is something to note.

Amazing!”

It was shocking at first to be walking straight into a dorm with multiple bunks from the street, but it was an awesome stay. The guy that is sitting outside of the desk (can't remember his name unfortunately) was incredibly kind and helpful. I met so many amazing friends during my stay at O2. It's kept decently clean, but your going to be trekking sand in from the beach no matter what. Facilities are limited but work well and are also kept clean. Place was cleaned daily and bedding was changed frequently. Would highly recommend for budget travelers. Beware of cold as fuck air con! It was great, but it definitely got cold in there at times.

A room full of beds. Nothing more, nothing less.”

Location. Sociable. Location.

The cheapest hostel on Phi Phi Don. It was literally a door into a room full of beds. There's two toilets and two showered and a separate sink. Basically if you want somewhere to crash and potentially meet some People, this is the place for you. Clean and cosy. Cosy as in small but if you're looking to spend your whole time inside, I'd miss Phi Phi out all together.

Simple accomodation for ok price”

location, price, comfy beds

the hostel is ok. It's like one hallway you walk in to from the street, with beds on both sides. That's it. Bathrooms ok. No place to hang out, and chat with fellow travelers, but I guess you can go to the beach or bars anyway. Beds are comfy, and there is air conditioning. All in al, ok, especially for phi phi, where everything is overpriced.

Good... But a few issues”

Location / cleanliness / room comfort

This hostel is a few minutes away from the beaches and party scene, but at night time is very quiet. The dorm and bathrooms were very clean.. And the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable! Security = excellent, cameras outside, key card access and sturdy lockers However... You open the door from the main street and you are in the room with the beds... Theyre curtains so privacy is somewhat concealed but almost every passerby will stare into the room jf the curtains are open.. This didnt bother me as i was near the back and only used it for sleeping... Other concerns: no towel, and the reception girl, even though very friendly and eager to help - very very limited english. No breakfast or food options - but the reception girl often gave me free bottles of water

Good cheap hostel ”

It is not far from the beaches, far enough from the party so you can sleep well and has lockers and good wifi. The guy managing the hostel was helpful at all times. It has no common area to hang out but was perfectly fine for sleeping or cooling off a bit with a good AC.

great location and super clean.”

social aspects, staff

great location along a major walkway to the beach and view point. Right between the "quiet family restaurants" and all of the crazy backpacker bars and restaurants. The hostel was clean, except for when someone threw up all over the bathroom. Beds super comfy. It's just one dorm room, so when you open the front door, the dorm is right there. Very social, I easily met people to go out with both nights of my stay.

Cheap and simple”

Good big bed, clean toilets/shower, cheap

Came here for the price, but the place was even smaller than expected and the room is a little dirty. It is basically 14 (very good and big) bunk beds, lockers and sanitary in the back. It's dark and sober, but fair for the price.. I met some great people during my stay here and then this small shared room is great. If you have bad luck it's not busy or very quiet and then it's only a bed to sleep in (really nothing else, keep that in mind). All in all, for being on an expensive island like Phi Phi, it's quite good :)

Comfortable beds”

Location, beds were comfortable and the room was dark at night

Stayed here over the new year period. The beds were clean and comfortable and each bed has its own locker assigned to it. The hostel is only one room with the showers and toilets through a door at the back. That meant that as soon as you come in the front door you were in the bedroom so there was always people walking through.

Just a bed”

If you are a solo traveller looking for a cheap bed in Phi Phi, ok. If you want anything else, like some advices about how or what to do, best places to eat, get money or whatever, forget it. The only girl that works there doesn´t speak english at all, so you can´t even ask for basic things like how the things works at the hostel - the other guests helped me. Also, there´s no cleaning, no place to put your things while showering and the internet is bad. Anyway, the location is very good, no problem with the parties or noise, very close to the pier.

It is basically one dorm room to which you enter straight from the street. A reception is a small desk in front of the door. But it doesn't really matter! I had a great stay there. Good value for money. ”

The room is clean. Sheets are clean. Bathroom is kept clean and stocked. Shower had good water pressure. Location was great. Close to everything yet far enough away from the party. Good security, lockers for smaller bags. Only suggestion would be if you are catching the first ferry out to let the guy know the night before. As he was not there when we needed to check out and we needed to get our 500bht deposit back. Had to call him and it was all just a little stressful. Other than that had a good experience.
