Canadian travelers to Tokyo”
Oak Hotel Edo, a very good Hotel next to Morishita metro Station (Oedo line and Shinjuku Line). At Narita Airport we purchased the 72 hrs subway tickets and then go to Keisei train counter and ask him how to buy ticket to Yawata station on their regular train. At Keisei Yawata station walk over to Moto Yawata (S21), Shinjuku line metro station and use your 72 hrs subway ticket to get to Morishita station. Take Exit A6 or the "Elevator to ground level" next to exit A6 then walk to hotel (100m). If you need to rent a car then go to Nissan rent-a-car, good service and (200m) away from the Hotel. Oak Hotel Edo, we booked a room for three with washroom, bath. Big size room for Japan, nice and clean. Only one elevator at the Hotel, but we had no problem at all. Staff are very helpful. There are washing machines next to the Hotel if you want to wash your clothes. Very nice machines cost ¥300 to wash and ¥300 to dry, don't need to bring laundry soap it's included. We will stay here again A+++
Can’t Say Anything Bad”
First and foremost, THE LOCATION - it’s perfect. Near Morishita Station, from there you can explore anywhere in Tokyo. The hotel is also surrounded by good restaurants, fast food, bakery, takoyaki place, drugstore, convenient stores - everything is within walking distance. Hotel is equipped with the basic things you need for your stay. Clean and peaceful. I particularly like the lounge area on the 3rd floor. You can eat there, watch tv, chill on the outdoor terrace or even cook if you like. The people/staff - they’re very polite and welcoming. They respect your privacy but every time they see you they will greet you and smile. Good people. I stayed at the dormitory. All is basic. It was clean. I had no problem at all. I would definitely stay again at Oak Hotel Edo the next time I’m in Tokyo.
Happy with our stay”
If you are looking for a reasonable priced hotel that's close to a subway but away from the hustle and bustle, that's clean and quiet, the Oak Hotel Edo is a great choice. My husband and two sons (ages 11 and 13), stayed for 10 nights in two separate rooms that both had a twin and double bed. It felt more like an undecorated cozy dorm room (very utilitarian) then a hotel. My family thought that there was enough room (being in Japan we expected minimal space...pack light ) and the beds were very comfortable. The thing that I appreciated the most is that the room was never stuffy, too hot or that the heating/air condition kicked on to wake me up all hours of the night. Once again, super quiet! Loved that we were able to do laundry mid week - very convenient. Lots of restaurants near by and also a Family Mart next door that we frequented everyday for supplies or for a snack. Would definitely stay again if we get back to Japan in the future.
For Families Looking to Stay in the Same Room”
Oak Hotel is one of the very few hotels in Tokyo that offers a family room where you can stay together. Most often, families have to book separate rooms and can't be together. Finding Oak Hotel was a gem for me since it had a family room for 4. The location is right above the train station, making it very accessible to every point of Tokyo via the subway. Convenient stores are conveniently located nearby. There's a laundromat located downstairs. So, if you need to do laundry, it's all good! My family enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would highly recommend it. However, my only concern is the dust under the bed. My son's toy rolled under the bed one time and when we looked to get it, we saw thick dust, despite having the room cleaned. But that's the only negative among all the other positive comments I have for Oak Hotel. Beds were comfortable after a long day touring the city. Hoping to go back to Tokyo soon for another vacation, God willing. Will stay at Oak Hotel again.
nearby subway, cheap room and more”
I have spent 4 night with my husband here. Overall we satisfied with the hotel service. Our room was small, but still convinient. It has a balcony, wifi 24 hours, TV, bathroom insidd with free amenities and they cleaned the room everyday. The rate is very good, less than Rp 1.000.000 for a night. They have a lounge with a kitchen too so we can cook our meal. The nearest subway is morishita, just about 2 minutes by walk. The staff are very kind. And they are very helpful especially when we have trouble with our concert ticket that delayed in the delivery process. I promise will stay in this hotel when come back to Tokyo. oh,, there is a staff that can speak Bahasa too, i forgot his name. Thankyou Oak Hotel Edo 😉😉😉
Pleasant surprise”
We arrived at oak hotel edo, not expecting much as we got a good rate. The staff spoke English well and the place was spotless. Although the building was older it had just had a complete renovation from what used to be an office block to a guest house style of hotel. Great kitchen / common facility with large balcony where you can cook up a meal and watch the bustle of morishita. Rooms are a bit tiny but good enough for our kind of stay as we only slept and showered there. Very nicely appointed however.. Bicycle hire also available which turned out to be a great way to get around sightseeing in lieu of the subway. Subway entrance was only 50m from our door. Fantastic food options close by also. I would rate this location as one of the better in Tokyo for its proximity to tourist attractions. We will stay here on our next trip to Tokyo..
value for your money”
hotel location just few steps from Morishita station. dorms are in 2nd floor, lounge/kitchen on the 3rd floor. you may cook your meals since they have functional kitchen(stove microwave, toaster, kettle, and some kitchenwares) free coffee and tea and powdered soup are for free. hotel also has a nice terrace on the 3rd floor. nearby convenience stores(family mart just beside the hotel, 7/11,lawson) and bento store on the street corner. will definitely book Oak Hotel Edo the next time Ill be in Tokyo.
Exceptional”
I highly recommend Oak Hotel Edo. The room is new and clean, staffs are friendly and accommodating. The area is a few stops away from Akihabahara. It has the same train line as Tsukiji Outer Market and Tokyo Tower, to name a few. There are a lot of restaurants near the hotel and the area is not noisy and crowded. You can also get a view of the Tokyo Skytree from your hotel.
Place is better than u feel, but also more bad than u hope”
as mixed dormitory room, at first price is really cheap bcs the others of tokyo capsules which located around sibuya, ginza, tokyo(central?), sinjuku and so on. station of Morishita is easy to contact from hotel really, but Morishita itself is hard to visit some stations(but also some places like asakawa? sensosi is easy to visit. i recommend u to walk until find edo-tokyo museum from here at early morning). so if u gonna think about this hotel, u should make ur travel plan, where u gonna visit from here, spefically. if u have perfect plan, this is perfect place. every dormitory room's bed have two USB hole. and 10 floor's skytree view is perfect too. but anyway for my case, it was late january. if u gonna visit here bcs of olimpic, i dont know how it will be. dormitory room have 12 bed and toilet is only two(for women 1 and for men 1). shower room are three. for both sexuality 1, for men 1, for women 1.(maybe...) bcs for my case there r not so many people(maybe under 8), i never waited to use toilet and shower room. but if room is full, i guess u gonna need little time to use them.
Superb staycation! Hands up!”
Staffs were really really nice and accommodation. We initially booked for a 4 days stay at the hotel but when our airlines extended us for another 2 days because of the typhoon, we decided to stay in the hotel because of the Location (near subway station) and the cleanliness as well (they clean our room everyday and gave us new towel and toiletries as well). They also have spacious pantry at 3F with free coffee, tea, our even soup if you wanna try (all for free). Overall, I can say that we had a superb staycation at Oak Hotel Edo for 6 days.🙂
Convenient location, clean and value for money”
Oak hotel Edo is a convenient hotel just a few minutes walk to the train station, near convenient stores and restaurants. The staffs are English speaking, very helpful and polite. They let us check in immediately at around 12pm even if the check in starts at 3pm. With a nice view of the Skytree on the 10th floor and a panoramic view of the city at night. Room is cleaned daily with all the toilettries replenished. Excellent stay and highly recommended.
Great hotel with easily accessible train station nearby.”
Very happy with our stay in Tokyo with Oak Hotel Edo. Would definitely recommend and come again in the future. Many restaurant such as yakiniku, takoyaki, ramen, bars, cafes, 7-eleven, lawson is nearby the hotel too. Family mart is just beside the hotel. Worth the money overall :)
Good Price, Nice Location. Recommended place to stay.”
Oak Hotel Edo in Tokyo is quite nice with just 50 meters away from nearest station (Morishita Station). Very near 24 hours mini market (1 minute walking) so we didn't find it hard if we need something in the middle of the night. Good neighborhood, many cheap restaurants near this hotel (within 3-5 minutes walking). The room itself is quite small. We booked 4 rooms, each room contains 3 people. The bed was okay and quite comfortable, quite clean also, the staff cleaned our room everyday as we requested. But a room for 3 people with big luggage for each people, its quite small. But for that kind of price its very recommended for travelers who just need a place to sleep/rest.
Great location!”
The hotel is very accessible to the train station and there are many shops and restaurants around the area. The staff is accommodating and can communicate English well. The only flaw is the bunk bed. If you are a light sleeper and you are not used to noise you might not sleep well because of the sounds coming from your roommate and other stuff. Overall, I am satisfied with my stay in Oak Hotel Edo. Thank you!
Exceptional”
The rooms are clean, beds are very comfortable, towels replaced daily, there is a very helpful shared kitchen, we can cook for breakfast and dinner because the cooking oil and seasoning is readily available. Two thumbs up for Oak Hotel Edo
value for money”
Hotel is 3mins walk to the train station (Morishita). There are nearby food shops and Family mart is a step away from the hotel. Rooms are clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Over all, Oak Hotel Edo offers great service despite the location is a bit far from Shibuya and Shinjuku.
GREAT HOTEL / EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS”
It was a very lovely hotel. 3min walk from the station, convenience stores and restaurants. If your looking for a good place to stay at, I definitely recommend Oak Hotel Edo. It has full amenities, Clean, nice location and value for money.
Convenient stay”
It was convenient for us to stay in Oak hotel Edo. Easy access in morishita station of oedo and shinjuku line. With english speaking reception. Room was small but its ok since all we need was there.
Nice, cheap, and very near the train station”
We're very happy with our stay at Oak Hotel Edo. First thing was because we dont need to walk much to get to the nearest train station. Its just somewhat one block away. The room is small but nice and comfy. And its actually cheap for a hotel in Tokyo.
Quiet Area but extremely near Public transport”
My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Edo Oak Hotel. The location was perfect, its right beside a family mart and its literally 2 mins walk to the Train Station. Its not the JR Line. Right across the road is an Izakaya/Yakitori bar which opens till late(3 or 4am) and has good and reasonably priced food. There is also a 24 hour restaurant across the road. The area was very peaceful and quiet and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Most of the spoke very good english. I would recommend travellers to stay here as you get a comfy room and bed at a very reasonable price.
