Exceptional location.,.. lovely staff....need little improvement ”
We stayed at Oak ray tea bush one night on the way with our 1.5 year old daughter. The location of the hotel was amazing included the wonderful restaurant. View from the room is breathtaking with lush green in front of your room. Staff were friendly and kind. Facilities were ok although we didn’t have WiFi which we didn’t care much. However we must highlight few issues we faced which I believe management should look after. First thing is smell from bathroom. May be exhaust of bathroom should improve and the drainage to be properly covered. Also there was strong smell at outside in morning due to some waste issue which disturbed us while enjoying amazing morning sunrise through green mountains. Something to take care ASAP. Other thing we faced is sharp concrete edges of the bed, which was an issue with the baby as there was a high risk that baby hit on those. Overall it was amazing stay except few small issues.

Two nights”
This hotel is all about its exceptional view. With atall water fall to the right, mountains above and terraced paddy fields below and to the right the Kotmale Reservior and the sunset, it has it all. The service is good. Moshtaq on the front Counter was helpfu and the chef put on quite a good breakfast and dinner. Since the view is so important, I suggest ther windows be cleaned regularly, even daily, because it is the view that people are coming for. Also is would be a good idea to scratch off the paint drips on the glass. We were in 604, where there is no air-conditioning. It would be useful to install insect screens so the sliding doors to the balcony can remain open and guests can enjoy the cool air. Having to close the doors at night makes the rooms unnecessarily warm.

There was literally nothing around the place, however it is tranquil and has an amazing view ”
The room had bugs and some mould at the bath tub, water was a little yellow (usual Sri Lanka ), the place had no food places around it. However the view was amazing and the restaurant food was fantastic.

Fabulous views, but the structure has known better days”
The view is amazing, both from the room and the restaurant. However, it is clear that the structure has known better days: the panoramic shower in our room did not work, the magnetic keys were substituted for metal ones (and still the lock was extremely tricky), the leftovers from dinner buffet were served for breakfast, etc. The place clearly counts on large groups rather than the individual visitors. However, the view is indeed fascinating, and a night's stay is an unforgettable experience.

Breathtaking View...”
Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities were also up to the standards. Bathtubs weren't functioning and we were told that they were to be fixed soon and the delay had been due to the pandemic situation. We didn't have much options to choose from on the food menu. Apart from minor flaws due to the pandemic, recommended for travelers!

Nice View, Staff Not so Great...”
The view was spectacular during the early morning, throughout the day burning goes on and the valley fills with smoke so the view becomes less spectacular as the day progresses. The housekeeping staff were great, they always were able to help us out. However, every time we called the housekeeping staff (we would have to call the front desk at least twice before someone could help us) they had at least two attendants come down to our room - a bit odd. The buffet food was okay. We ordered room service one night as the buffet wasn't available (if you are planning on having buffet here you should ask at the time of booking - if you do not speak Sinhalese I recommend you ask at the start of the call for an English-speaking Manager), the room service meal was terrible so we made a complaint and were offered to have a free dinner and free wine each (two of us, my sister and I travelling). Once we paid we found the 'free' meal and wine on our bill!

Don't miss the restaurant view”
The restaurant view is the only thing that you should never miss. Therefore, I recommend stopping there to drink some coffee and take some photos. The room itself is not that good. There was a bad smell, the bathtub was not working probably, and the bedsheet was not clean. In addition, the hotel is far from Nuwara Eliya city and the world's end.

We lost EUR 1700 and they neglected they put us in danger while we staying at OAK RAY TEA BUSH ”
Dear Tourists, We lost over EUR 1700 and they neglected our Safety while we staying at OAK RAY TEA BUSH and I don’t recommend any hotel manage by OAK RAY GROUP. I and my wife’s had to go through a horrible experience while staying in Oak Ray tea bush hotel. We lost over Euro’s 1700(Which one of her friend from Finland lend to her to give the money to her family in Sri Lanka) while we were sleeping at night because of the negligence of the hotel staff and the management our lives were put in danger. The room next door was a Taiwan couple from they lost over USD 1500. We could have badly hurt or dead because of their POOR SECURITY and MAINTAINANCE. We got theft while we were sleeping surprisingl their CCTV is not working, CCTV systems dates and times are wrong No safety locker in the room (Its a Mandatory Requirement in Tourist Act here)

Spectacular view and elegant hotel”
The view from where this hotel is situated is unbelievable. Many foreigners stay at this hotel or stop here for food/tea. The room is very clean and comfortable. There's no AC needed in this hotel as the climate in Nuwara Eliya/Ramboda is very cool. The bathroom was nice and clean and the shower felt so relaxing. The view from the room was amazing. We ordered room service dinner and it was plenty for two people. The breakfast was delicious and they placed a wide variety of options. Very nice view while having breakfast. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Nuwara Eliya, especially if it's their first time.

New design hotel in Ramboda”
First this hotel is NOT near Nuwara Eliya. It is in the village of Ramboda about 25 km from Nuwara Eliya or 1h+ of driving. The hotel is very new (not everything is finished) and the personel is still adjusting to the hotel. the whole hotel has a modern design. The view is amazing, rooms are very quite. It is very clean. On the downside, the internet connection is not working consistently. Advice for the management: - Use less softener on the towels - Ensure that you have partners tuk-tuks and taxis to arrange tours in the region - Serve your delicious home made bread for breakfast instead of toasts.

Amazing location !! ”
Great location with breathtaking views of Nuwara Eliya from the balcony !! It was quite loud in the mornings with renovations going on when we stayed. I dont think linens were replaced before we checked in , room has no A/C and it can get warmer in the afternoon as Ramboda is in the foothills of Nuwara Eliya. We rented a tuk tuk went to visit a temple, tea factory and also to Nuwara Eliya for lunch. Would recommend for the views ! It was a very different experience.

The hotel located out away from Nuwara Eliya in the tea mountains, very friendly staff, comfortable room , the wifi was ok, breakfast is nice , the only negative thing is the room lightness is quite dark rooms and not enough lightness. Thanks

Fantastic hotel”
I stayed up one night with my son and wife. The room was very spacious. Was very clean and had all facilities like iron,hairdryer etc. The staff were very nice. We were able to see tea bushes, a nice waterfall all from the room The breakfast was included with our booking. The food was very nice, the tastiest dishes I tasted during my whole stay in Srilanka

Most beautiful located and designed hotel”
The location, the views, the contemporary architecture, all is fantastic. The staff is very nice, but a bit sleepy and details are sometimes missing. But overall I definitely would return to this hotel when I'm in Nuwera Elya or the valley under Ramboda

Fantastic hotel in an amazing location looking onto Ramboda falls. Room was great, very clean and modern. Beautiful bathroom. Staff we very attentive and friendly. Wifi a bit unreliable. Otherwise cannot fault this place.

Not worth the money”
They were doing extension works when I arrived to extend the hotel, however they didn't stop the building until 10/11pm which is far too late even after me asking from 7pm when will they stop, I was being told 8/9pm or "soon" There is no hot water for more than 2 min in the shower. Room can be quite cold and there is no option to make room warmer as there is just a fan. I had food poisoning not sure whether is was from the food or the water when I had a cup of tea & coffee. My driver didn't stay in the Oak Ray Tea bush as he said twice before he had stayed there and twice he had episodes of food poisoning. The next day my stomach was hurting and the following day after leaving I was very sick. We all know food poisoning takes 48hrs to fully kick in. So I wouldn't recommend it. But the views are amazing.
