Exceptional”

Its my first time trying hostel and I’m not disappointed. The Oakhostel Sakura location is few mins walk to Oshiage Station B1 exit then connect to Tokyo Railway. They keep the facilities on the hostel clean and tidy. Staff are very courteous and accommodating. Very homey feel where you can meet other guests. Definitely will stay with them again once I’m back at Tokyo.

Great place to stay in a decent price”

My trip to Tokyo was great due to the clean and cozy flat in Oakhostel Sakura. The staffs were really kind, and was always willing to help us whenever we had troubles. They printed some of the papers I needed even though it was really late at night. Plus, the flat was great, and using the shared bathrooms with others was not a problem at all. It was always clean, and people were polite to each other. I especially really liked the fact that the hostel was really near to the Oshiage station *(like 2~3 minutes on foot). Was a great experience, and now I'm planning to visit there again!

Excellent facilities and cleanliness”

I used to stay in Capsule or budget hotel like Comfort Hotel or Toyoko Inn during my stay in Tokyo, but Oakhostel will definitely be my choice when I come back next time. The hostel is new and clean, the kitchen is small but functional. It is also closed to 2-3 local stores that sell fresh vegetable and meat. The price is really cheap compared to big supermarket. My only complaint is the wall is pretty thin, the opening and closing of doors are noticeable when you are inside the room. You wonder why people kept going in and out.

This hostel fulfills the essential needs of Budget Travellers!!”

I stayed in Economy Single Room for 1 night on 17th, Jan 2018. I'm a Japanese national living in abroad. I've stayed in many hotels in Tokyo and Narita area in a range of room charge from ¥3,000−¥7,000 /person/night. If you prefer to secure your privacy and wish to stay in a single room in Tokyo, with very limited budget, Oak Sakura has the perfect rooms for you. They have 2 types single rooms. Economy Single which is 7 square meeters only, and Standard Single with 10 Sqr Mtrs. I stayed in Economy Single and still found it a lot better option than staying in a Dorm with bunk beds with other girls. Though, their Single Rooms don't come with shower room or the toilet, you need to go outside the room to use their shared facility. Believe me, their Facility is SUPER CLEAN and looks even fancy. A/C, mini fridge, mini desk & chair, hair dryer are provided in private rooms. The staff are very helpful and you can request the priting & copying services to the Reception. Best Budget Room!

Most amazing hostel with incredible personnel”

The Oakhostel was my home for 10 days. It is the most comfortable, clean, welcoming place to stay. It is perfectly located, 5 minutes from the station, and walking distance from the Asakusa temple. The neighborhood is quiet and pretty. The equipment of the rooms and common spaces is perfect - you will find everything you need. But on top of everything, the team is made of the kindest, most professional people. They are friendly, always happy to help, they have a great knowledge of Tokyo, and their English is impressive. I would recommand absolutely and will definitely go back when I'm going to Tokyo next time.

Best place I've stayed at in Tokyo. Clean, bright, friendly staff. Sky Tree views + near everything”

Comfy, clean, bright, great staff, GREAT location. Many of the rooms have views of the Tokyo Sky Tree for an extra big city feel! My room was extremely comfortable and surprisingly one of the biggest I've stayed in for the price I paid. I love the touches like the little pocket beside the bed with USB and plugs to put your phone or smartwatch dock. The amenities are incredible: in-building laundry, kitchen, downstairs lounge with eating table and couches, TV, tea and coffee, miso soup. The location is INCREDIBLE - just steps away is a discount 24 hour supermarket (Big A). You can also choose between all 3 konbini chains, and the Lawson is a Lawson 100 (konbini + 100 yen shop). I bought a screwdriver set there in the middle of the night to fix my laptop seriously having one nearby is amazing. Direct trains to Shibuya, Shinagawa, Narita Airport. Easy to access everywhere else. By the way the lounge is a great meeting space and I met some incredible people here.

Cheap, great location, great service! ”

I was a solo traveler yet never came to Tokyo before. When I searched for a hostel or guest house in Tokyo, I decided to stay here just because they put picture how to get their hostel in Agoda! Lol But it’s very worth the price. All staffs also has a good English skill, though I’d rather like to speak in Japanese. The bathroom also clean and they provide soap, shampoo and conditioner, hairdryer. They have a very clean kitchen also. So far this hostel is a hostel that I can recommend to my friends who also wants to go as a solo traveler to Tokyo. :)

A very nice hotel for solo traveler”

Spent 5 nights in an economic single room with shared bathroom, and loved it!! The room and shared bathroom were very clean!! No difficulties or uncomfortableness whatsoever (I'm a girl). The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is far feom night life or crowds in general, but close to the station. And very close to the Tokyo sky tree tower. My room has the tower as the view!! Will definitely use this hotel again if I ever come to Tokyo again.

Recommended new hostel at Tokyo”

The location is about 15 mins walk from station (with 2 kids). It's near to Tokyo Skytree, Asakusa. Nice hotel staff, allow us to get early check-in at 13.30 (thanks a lot :)). Facilities are complete, they provide handphone with mobile data that we can borrow during our stay, and complete amenities. Room quite small, 2 bunk beds. Bathroom and powder room is just opposite our room, clean, tidy but small :D We can cook meal (there's kitchen and utensils there). Free green tea or miso soup to accompany your meal. We really enjoyed our stay there. Very recommended 👍

The best hotel I stayed in Tokyo”

Perfect location because Oshiage Station exit B1 is just a few meters away, alongside 7-11 and Family Mart, and of course, Tokyo Skytree! Airport is directly accessible from the Oshiage Station. Shower room and washlets for each floor is good, complete with shower gel, shampoo, conditioner. Only concern is that the sink has no hot water, so it was quite a nightmare to brush my teeth during winter. Wifi was strong and reliable. Friendly and helpful staff. Ground floor kitchen, dining and laundry area is nice. Very clean facilities and surroundings. I will stay here again in my next visit to Tokyo.

Excellent service. Two thumbs up!”

Location's perfect. It is very near the Tokyo Skytree and I just walked from there to Asakusa. It is also near the Oshiage (SkyTree) station. It is one train ride from Narita Airport via Narita Sky Access line which costs 1147 yen. There are nearby konbini (Family, Mart, 7-eleven). I stayed at the Economy Single Room and it is just enough for me. My room gets the view of the SkyTree. They provide you toothbrush, razor and yukata(robe). You can buy the yukata for 2,000 yen. There are no problems with the use of toilet and shower even though it is shared. You can use the shower at the other floors if the are no available showers at your floor. They have big bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash at the shower. Cleaning time is at 10:00am everyday. You can choose if you want your room to be made up, change the towels, or not. The staff can converse in English. :)

*Spotless property * Good sized room with desk area, TV, coat hangers and air con. (Deluxe Double). *Spotless male and female bathrooms on each floor. *Spotless shower area. So clean opposite our room, that it felt like our own bathroom. We never had to wait for any of the facilities. *Kitchen area if needed. Free soups, tea, coffee and sweets. *Washing facilities, computers and great common room area if required. +Near Tokyo Tower. + Convenience stores on every corner and a huge supermarket 2 minutes to the right do the property. +Friendly staff and lots of information and guides in the reception area. - The location is more than 30 minutes to the main tourist areas of Shibuya and Shinjuku however this wasn’t a problem for us. Location is strategically good.”

Location wise is good. It's near to a tokyo metro rail. Walking distance to the the skytree. I stayed in the 4-female dormitory and was able to see the skytree outside the window. The Hostel is clean. I like the common area - living area (they got TV) , dining table, kitchen (they provide utensils. clean after use. I saw some main condiments. I assumed it's free to use when cooking). Common bathroom and toilet are clean. Shampoo, Conditioner, and Body Wash are provided and towel as well. The room has AC, locker, and hanger. The beddings are super comfortable. Double-deck is not shaky. Each bed has outlet for charging device. My only cons is the little space for 4-female dormitory. If your luggage is big, it will be hard for your to fix your things. Being considered with other dormates who are still sleeping in the morning, I brought down my things in the livings area to arrange. However, the space is also not that spacious to fix. I got nothing to say with the staffs. They're super nice and accommodating to answer inquiries.
