Excellent value”

This hotel is located on the southern end of Port Douglas so a car is handy. There are two shuttle buses operating around Port Douglas if you don't want to drive. The room was spotless and roomy. The hotel is only 4 years old. Hotel next door handy for dinner or head to town for a great selection. Wildlife Habitat Park is within walking distance, great for "breakfast with the birds". Town is 8 minutes by bus and closest marina to the Great Barrier Reef. This is by far the best location to see the reef from. Low Isles is an idyllic coral cay island and home to many turtles. Pick up a local tourist magazine "Tourism Port Douglas" around town. It has coupons for many 2 for 1 deals including the Mercure next door and 50% off at the Sheraton Mirage buffet breakfast. There is no restaurant in Oaks Lagoons Hotel so these offers were great value to find. Would stay there again. Pool is lovely and Four Mile Beach is about a 10 minute walk.

Amazing Honeymoon”

Had an amazing stay at Oaks Lagoon for our Honeymoon in February 2018. Location is fantastic as Port Douglas offers a Shuttle service around the entire area, although I would highly recommend hiring a car. We rented a Plunge Pool room which had ample space for the two of us, offering a full Kitchenette, ensuite and private plunge pool (which wasn't too private at the above balconies looked over the pool). The staff were amazing, Nicki was extremely informative about the local tours and guided us to book the best tours for us.

Amazing stay ”

Lovely staff very helpful welcoming and friendly. Awesome clean property My family with two young children had a great time staying in port Douglas and our stay at silkari was one of the highlights. We had the 2 bedroom with the plunge which also has a very private outdoor spa. Will definitely be back.

Exceptional”

The staff were so friendly ! Ritz was so lovely and was very helpful with tourist attractions around port Douglas as me and my partner had never visited before. John was also equally as amazing . The room was perfect and in perfect location. Would 100% recommend especially because of the the amazing customer service

Great hotel”

The receptionist was great, she managed to check me in early. The room was spacious and very tidy. The hotel was a little far away from the main strip in Port Douglas if you are going to be walking home late at night, but is perfect if for if you want to just chill out or are basing yourself in Port Douglas for a few days. I would definately use this hotel again

Just perfect ”

We had an apartment with swimout. It was great! Washing facilities is a must when travelling for a month. Missing value tray. Friendly personal giving us tips what to do. Near four mile beach. Was walking along the beach to Port Douglas. Just great! Would like to come back.

Quiet and peaceful ”

We are a couple spending a week at Silkari Lagoons in July. We have been allocated a lovely swim out apartment on the Sunnyside. The pool out the front of our room is cold but the pool on the other side is warm. Check-in was efficient, informative and friendly. The apartment is great for 2 of us. The distance from town means you will need a car in my opinion. We have had to drive to everything, we expected this when we made our booking. There is a great community kitchen/ BBQ area for quests to use.

Very comfortable and clean”

The apartment was very comfortable, clean and well equipped. We had booked the swimout but we did not use it and consideration needs to be given over whether you need it or not as we were out and about the whole time. There is a regular bus service into Port Douglas itself costing 4 dollars per person. The tour operators will collect you from the hotel.

Great stay! ”

The oaks is a beautifully presented resort located a short walk from four mile beach the staff Tina in particular are very friendly and go out of their way to help you! When staying in port Douglas I would definitely recommend Oaks!!

good value & can't beat a pool at your back door”

temperatures when we stayed (sept) were from 19 overnight to 28 daytime, so water at beach and in pool just right and only need tshirts and thongs everyday, perfect for holidays. sunday markets good fun, fresh fruit stand next to tarot card readers. went to port yacht club on wed afternoon, could have got a sail on clubmembers yacht. would have like to lay on the deck with drinkies watching sun go down but had another appt. motel is v good, well set out and pool at back door is soo good, can do laps or just laze around, reading, need big sunhat for tropical sun. next to ramada who do good value meals

Nice place to stay”

Silkari was great for families with kids but couples used to staying in hotels should be aware that the rooms aren’t serviced for the length of your stay- so for mine a week. This gave us one night of supplies for the week like tea, coffee, soap etc. I found the staff all very friendly but a little unprofessional as they seem to all hang around after the shift and drink in the communal areas. The shuttle service works well getting into town and the outdoor areas and pools were immaculately looked after.

great hotel.”

we loved this hotel, was abit out of town which we really liked because it was abit quieter. we loved the pool at our room. only 6 rooms per pool. we would definaly stay here when we return to douglas again. highly reccomend. service was also great. would be abit better it they had their own resturant on site.

Nice pools good value for money”

Good value for money compared to other hotels, nice pools outside of rooms. Location further from port douglas but had a rental car anyway.

Modern and Affordable ”

Stayed at Silkari for 4 nights over New Years. Beautiful self contained apartment with all amenities included. Very clean, affordable and has pools all around the place :)

Great value”

2nd time to visit. The first visit we had the plunge pool and jacuzzi (spa) room. That was great value! Almost felt like a proper villa. This time we just did the spa room with pool lagoon view. Room was great, only issue was they used too much air freshener, it triggered allergies for me. We had to air the room out for 4hrs 😅 other than that, we’d stay again :)

Great hotel with really friendly helpful staff! Great price for a lovely room with our own private spa! Pool area was great and all round fantastic stay. I will definitely stay again. A restaurant would too it off perfectly!

confusion with room booking wasnt a good start”

but staff were very helpful. Room was.modern and clean. Pool was 6 steps out the slider. Relatively close to town. No room service or restaurant. Had to pay for wifi although staff said if I had booked direct with them then it would be free. That's pretty poor I thought..discrimination actually.

lovely clean hotel room with good facilities ”

definately go to the Daintree and do the forest short 40min walk it was truely like being back in the dinosaur days. we hired a car and drove to Palm Cove for breakfast and a days shopping in Cairns. I would stay again at the Oaks Lagoon Hotel and i would recommend it to my friends. The only thing that was a little strange was that the Hotel has no restaurant.

Mostly value for money”

Fairly cheap room when booked in November but 50% was added when we extended our stay in December. A nice quiet hotel.

we really enjoyed our stay at oak lagoon, nice & peace hotel. we enjoyed with jacuzzi. next time we like to stay at the room on first floor so that we can jump to the swimming pool right from our balcony !
