4 travelers have booked today.
Shopping and dinning were just a hop skip and a jump away, which was great, we just parked the car and walked everywhere.

Good location, amazing view & great rooms”
Our stay at oaks lure hotel was amazing, if ever i go back to port stephens i would stay there again especially if i was travelling with friends.
Nice little hotel that is conveniently located and well priced. It's close to Coles and the Nelson Bay shops. Maybe a little to far to walk to the marina though. Room felt a little small, but ironically the bathroom is a fairly roomy. Staff were friendly and helpful in tracking down a lost item after I checked out.
Clean and great location”
We arrived late and reception was closed, they left our door card in the locker, was very convenient. There is underground car park. Room is large and clean, 5 mins walk to nelson bay beach , quite area too.
Was good but could have been even better”
My husband and I stayed at the Oaks with my sister, husband and baby. The separate bedroom and bathroom downstairs meant that we had enough privacy whilst enjoying a week-end away together. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept well. The apartment was very nice but it seemed that the Oaks had run out of money when it came to furnishings - the TVs were ancient, lack of mirrors, cheap crockery, and not even sofa space for 4 people. Nevertheless, we had a lovely week-end. We paid extra for a bay view which was probably worth it (although we may have got that anyway!?) The staff were very helpful, and always smiling. The pool looked very nice but we ran out of time so didn't get to try it. Nelson Bay is a lovely location for a family break which something to offer everyone.
Excellent views, well-equipped kitchen”
Only stayed one night, found the room to be clean and well-equipped. Only con was the slightly old TV, and this wasn't a big deal since there's plenty to look at in Port Stephens!
Oaks Lure is just round the corner from Coles supermarket, and from Coles, another 5 minute walk to all the dolphin/whale activity. No need to move the car, just stroll out. Oaks Lure itself has secure parking. So the car is in the basement lock-up garage with key card access. The apartment is nice and big, with modern and working dishwasher, fridge, oven, stove. All good. Bathrooms are efficiently designed, with mixer taps, plenty of hot water, dries very quickly. We had a two-bedroom apartment. There is one bedroom downstairs and one upstairs. If you have problems running upstairs and downstairs, then this is not a good apartment. I have older kids, so they were running up and down and making lots of noise. Now we are used to slim TVs, it was a little strange to see a big fat TV in a relatively modern apartment. Housekeeping is almost non-existent. We raided an abandoned cart for towels. Reception opens at 8 and closes at 5. If we had been 5 minutes late, we would have had to contact the mobile phone of a caretaker. Not sure how long this would have taken, but just glad we caught reception before she went home. Check out is at 10am. For some reason, our key card was programmed to stop working at precisely 10am, not the usual 11am that most hotels practise. We had moved only half our luggage to the car and the remaining half was still in the room. We then had to go back to Reception to validate the key card. This was a poor ending to an otherwise good stay.
Great location and a quiet apartment”
Hotel check in was alright. The room was ready for us when we arrived. There is a basement carpark and there are plenty of parking spots. It took us about less than 10 minutes walk to D'Albora Marina Nelson Bay, the main shopping and dining areas. There is no restaurant in the apartment. However, there are a few Thai restaurants just situated across the road. The hotel check-out was good too.
Great pool, friendly staff and big rooms”
we went to scuba dive nelson bay! the car park is very secure, staff were great and rooms were more then reasonable and modern
Great location. Decent hotel.”
It was quite pleasant. We arrived late and got the key in a lock box. THe room is unexpectedly spacious. The room and bathrooms are all very clean. The location is great in the center of port stephens nelson bay.
Lovely apartments & very close to shops”
oaks lure hotel was a nice hotel.. the 1 bedroom apartment was quit big & there was enoug room for the 3 of us. the hotel is also very close (walking distance) to the main shopping areas & the marina. the downside to this hotel is internet is not free & the pice t get internet connection is quite expensive. otherwise, very nice hotel.
Good location-(close to woolworth and the main nelson bay area) Clean, cozy and would like to stay again
- Room was clean - Stayed with a friend, walking distance to Nelson Bay shopping strip - Good location (midpoint in Port Stephens) - Stayed in the hotel room special - No food onsite
Great apartment and great price!”
I booked two rooms, one is hotel room booked in agoda, and another two bedroom apartment from other website (the price is the same in agoda, only because there was some problem with agoda that it showed unavailable so I have to book from other website, but after 1 hour, the status in agoda changed back to available...) The price for the apartment is great, after you checked in, you will find everything is beyond expectation! It is a perfect home for travelers. The only suggestion from me is that there is no washing machine in the apartment.
5 minutes walk to harbour where you can watch the sunset, catch a glimpse of dolphins swimming in the distance or take a short whale watching cruise. Very near to Coles Supermarket and lots of eateries for you to choose from. Its also a short drive from most of Port Stephen's beautiful beaches. Free parking. Laundry room available for guests to wash and dry their clothes
Clean but a little overpriced”
We only stayed one night so it is hard to comment on too much but the staff were friendly and helpful and the room clean. We got a tiny water view through some buildings from the edge of the balcony and we felt it was a little overpriced compared with other Oaks Hotels. Otherwise it was nice and modern, very conveniently located and we enjoyed our night there.
The hotel is within walking distance to some restaurants in the town, but you need to drive to get to the port. The room was clean and decent.
the hotel is located far away from the major attraction， such as, shoal bay. it is not in the walking distance. if you don't have your own means of transport, it is a terrible idea to stay in this hotel. the apartment we stayed in this hotel has two floors, the living room areas is ok, but the tv is out-of-date, basically, it is not watchable.. however, the bedroom is very small, and stuffed. i can't even breath during sleep. personally, i don't feel safe to leave the bedroom window open at night, so i woke up several times because i felt can't breath. we planned to have a weekend getaway at nelson bay, and we had to arrive very late on the day when checked-in. first of all, i didn't receive any email or phone call from this hotel to tell us how to manage the late check-in process after i paid. i am a cautious person, so i rang the hotel to see if they have a special arrangement for late check-in guests. the first thing the operator asked for me is my credit card number for the bonds. i don't feel comfortable about this process. it made me feel like no one actually care whether we can get into the hotel building or not until we paid for the bonds. plus, we had already paid for the price of the hotel room. it is so not friendly and inconvenient if other guests (i.e international travelers) don't know they need to call the hotel to arrange the late check-in. at the lease, it is common courtesy to send us an email to let us know what we need to do for the day of check-in. overall, this hotel is very disappointing to us.
Good location to stay for a few days”
We were only one night there, and tight in timing. They gave us an bigger apartment as we booked, we appreciate that very much and had a lot of space there. The rooms and bathroom were very clean!! Only two points are not so good: The pool is not really nice and they don't offer a breakfast. But for us not a big beal, because we had anyway not the time for swimming and breakfast is easy to get on the way. In the smal valley are a number of really nice shops and the people there are very very friendly too.
Friendly staff and nice big room”
the staff are friendly and very approachable. the apartment alike room really fascinate us with kitchen, dining area, living room and big bedroom at very good price in that area. eateries and tour booking office are also within 5-10 mins walk. it's a value for money stay.
great hotel to stay in”
it is a great hotel to stay in for the holiday. It is quiet and clean. Staying in the room makes me relax. And the price of the room is good, meanwhile, the staff is quite helpful.
