Great waterfront central location”
A well situated property on the waterfront and right on the shopping and restaurant streets (plenty of restaurants within metres of the property). The rooms were clean and comfortable and have all the essentials for a short or long stay. The only issue we had was that the carpets in the hallways on level one were very very old and tattered and had a musty unpleasant smell, they are in bad need of replacing !!!
The motel is nice and convenient. The room is a little small but its cozy and nice. Good tv, balcony, better to pay for a room with an ocean view though as we had a view of the carpet behind the motel. Beds are comfortable. The pool and spa is beauitful and there is a nice view of the ocean from where the pool is. Its very nice. The gym is good to, I didn't get to use it though sadly 😅. The motel is also close to lots of food places and there is a coles nearby.
Great spot our room was awesome only complaint would be that there’s no tv in the bedroom which was a disappointment oh yes and the free wi fi is only for 30 minutes...but what is it with these motels only letting you in after 2 even when room is ready.most of them do it just think they should let you in if room is ready ...
Good but could be better ”
I did ask for high floor with nice view which i was accomodated with and appreciated. However i feel it was a let down for what i paid already for a studio room. Was very simple and i had no washing machine aparently? Got charged for extra towels than when i noticed a sign in the elevator saying laundry level 2 i proceeded with all my washing found nothing. Had to go back to front desk and told me there is no laundry facilities. Parking was $15 a night which should be conplimentary considering it is not a budget style accomodation. Also had to pay for an extra roll away bed which was very uncomfortable and no one ended up using it. For someone that has travelled quiet a bit this was no four star as advertised. Location was a plus for us
We only had one night on our way north but loved the stopover at The Entrance. The Oaks Waterfront offered a large, spacious room with comfortable bed and sitting area. The location is perfect to enjoy walking to the beach or lagoon or local shopping area with plenty of options for dining or relaxing. Note that the wifi is free for the first 30 minutes, than unlimited free wifi which you will pay for. Also there is parking opposite at the Waldorf that is free, if you don't want to pay the $15 for the Oaks private car park.
Nice place and friendly staff”
We went there for anzac longweekend, place is easy to find, there is a public carpark nearby for free, receptionist staff are nice n friendly.. Hotel is clean, a lot of food surroundings and walking to beach/lake are in minutes walk..
I have stayed here for one night, it was a very good experience for me. Our room was clean, comfortable and availability of free parking. Also have a good restaurant in ground floor, which is very enjoyable.
had a great time. the room had everything we needed including a reason well set up kitchen, which we werent expecting. location was handy to all the restaurants, and the staff at reception were helpful.
Great location for families with young children ”
Parking is $15.00 per night we stayed on 2 occacions but they only charged us for the first stay don't know why didn't ask.Plus the car park is a real night mare very tight turns on the up and down ramp. There is under cover parking across the road at the Waldorf for free.
Great stay nice clean big suite room”
Would stay her again nice bright airy rooms. Reception staff are lovely.Best of all the location is just a beautiful and great location especially for families with small childred. Car park is a bit of a nightmare tight turns it seems that the up and down ramps are going the wrong way cost per night to park at the hotel but free parking at the Waldorf right next door.
Not the best service”
Pros: location, next to beach and restaurants, swimming pool, spa, room, fridge, microwave, utilities Cons: Was place in a room with terrible view, can hear noises from the outside corridors from room (noisy children playing), service was not the best. Was told if I wanted my room made up there would be extra charge, Had to go downstairs for towels, wifi service was only free for 30mins Summary: Location of this resort is perfect. Its utilities were perfect however I was let down for the lack and frustration of service and was disrupted by the noisy children playing and screaming along the corridor outside my room.
More is required”
The location is simply amazing and the restaurants around are ok. The “free wifi” is only 30 minutes during the entire stay. And there was no house keeping the entire stay and I wasn’t told that they only chafe your towels but not make up your room.. a little dated for a “4 star” generally I think the price was a little steep for the place. It overall it was ok.. it’s needs to be updated!! The bed was rather too old and hard too!!
The hotel is conveniently located, close to restaurants, local attraction and supermarket. It's not new, but the place is clean. There is a public car park across from the hotel.
Free car park across the road. Waterfront, cafes, bars etc at your doorstep. Cool rooftop pool. Would definitely stay again.
Nice water views and ocean breezes ”
Pros: Spacious comfortable lounge area iwith insect screen balcony door, water views and lovely ocean breezes. Cons: No baking tray and kitchen pans old, soft mattress, no air conditioning in the 2 bedrooms at back of unit.
I found this accommodation by reading reviews, it was clearly a disappointment. Room was spacious, but wasn't as tidy as i would expect. Show how it looked a bit shabby. I arrived with a family group that was also staying in the hotel, it took us half an hour to find our way from car park down to the lobby. The location was a real convenience, but don't think it was worth $500 for two nights stay. Wifi was only free for first 30 minutes. And if you do drive, you will also need to pay extra for the car space. If of all I liked the most was the pool, but that's about it....
Good pool and very central location with lots of local restaurants and cafes to choose from.
Lovely getaway destination”
Loved it. Rooms a little dated but all else was great.
Ken's Humble pie shop around the corner is ace for a cheap breakfast (in bed if you want) The pelican show was right out front and was a hoot at 3:30 daily. We did the Norah Head lighthouse tour as well as rode our bikes around the lake. Great little adventure away.
good place to relax”
booked the room with lake view. so quite during we stay at the room and everything was satisfied us. but in the morning before we chect out, although i applied late check out, house cleaner tried to come in for cleaning... it was only a bit passed 10 am.. around10:15?. without this happening, everything are good
