Just 5 minutes’ drive from Oamaru town centre, Oamaru TOP 10 Holiday Park offers a covered BBQ area, bicycle rental service and tour desk. Free on-site parking is provided. The tour desk offers bookings for Oceania Gold Tours and visits to the Yellow Eyed Penguins and Oamaru Blue Penguin colony. For guest convenience there are 2 communal kitchens with microwaves, ovens and hot plates. The children’s playground includes a trampoline and slide. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel for an additional fee. All accommodation includes heating, a TV and Tea/coffee making facilities. Some have cooking facilities, while others feature a private balcony or patio with garden views to enjoy. Oamaru Holiday Park is 5 minutes’ drive from Whitestone Cheese factory. North Otago Golf Course is an 8-minute drive and the Moeraki Boulders are 40 minutes’ drive away.

Cheap and Good”
Friendly staff was a good start. VERY clean room. Loved the under cover bbq and the wonderfully hot high pressure showers. Located right next to the gardens for a pretty walk. Across the road was mini golf which was free for guests. We enjoyed the stay. And the advice of the staff was very helpful.

First thing first. The staff was friendly, and was very helpful booking the blue penguin tour tickets for us. The location was acceptable, and we could quickly drove to the town center and the blue penguin observatory. That's pretty much the good side I would say about this place. The "deluxe" room was a bit small, and we could especially feel the pressure when we travelled with lots of belongings. In addition, they only provided soaps by default, and no shampoo at all. Never mind, because they didn't have a hair dryer in room either, so we could save our work washing our hairs. Anyway, if you just come here with your own camping car, you'll probably be happy, especially because they have the Oamaru Garden right next to their site. However, if you're looking for a warm comfortable place after hanging around the city all day long, you should go somewhere else.

Expensive versus what you get ”
It was a really basic cabin and the price for it is way too expensive. Better to pay a little more and then have a reasonable hotel with all facilities.
