Best Hotel I've stayed at in a long time!”
Alona beach in Panglao Island should not be missed if you are serious about scuba diving. The Sea Quest dive shop 100 steps away from the Oasis Hotel is the best on the beach. Swirling Jack Fish, turtles, Baracuda, you can't ask for more from a scuba diving vacation. Returning from the dives, making your way through Alona beach and back up the steps to the Oasis Hotel is like walking into paradise. The grounds are lush, tropical, beautiful, tranquil and relaxing. Although you're 100 steps from the action of Alona beach, you're really in another world. The rooms and bungalows were spacious and met every need I had. I am planning another trip to Alona beach to see the turtles, I will only stay at the Oasis Hotel! Sea Quest scheduled a dive up north, a two hour boat ride from Alona beach. We needed to be on the boast by 7:00 am. The Oasis hotel opened their restaurant for us an hour early so we could get some breakfast before the dive! Nice! Steve
Excellent location and service”
The food presented for breakfast in the Pool Bar Restaurant was excellent and varied from day to day. The staff and food presented at the Bagsay Bar on the beach was also excellent - good choices for everyone. But do yourself a favour and try the homemade Blueberry Cheesecake. The wine list is above average compared with other establishments and reasonably priced. We tried a number of restaurants but none compared with the Oasis restaurants. The location is excellent with easy access to the beach and only 10 minutes from the new Panglao airport - Peso300 for a van carrying in our case 4 people. The pool is clean and well maintained and located in beautiful gardens. Have a massage in the Gazebo. Dive training is done in the pool and the ocean and is provided by the Oasis Dive Shop. All in all a great place to stay and I recommend it to anyone travelling to Bohol.
A true Oasis - Serene, Great Location, with a lovely pool in the middle amidst lots of Green””
The place was better than what we saw in the pictures & so close to the Alona Beach. We chose the Superior Deluxe Room which was much better than the Deluxe Room and well worth the extra money paid. The pool in the middle of the hotel amidst beautiful gardens with lots of trees was pure bliss. The restaurant right on the beach is the right place to sit with a Chilled Bottle of Beer and serves amazing food - Soups & Pizzas are a must try. The food is delicious and not too expensive. . Just loved the ambiance of the place. Will definitely recommend the resort. A true Oasis in the most touristic area of Panglao Island. Want to go back there again :))
Excellent service, excellent living experience”
You can not ask for more at this hotel. This is a small but southeast decorated cottage accommandation with nature gardending. I love the entrance along with fragipani trees. Flowers fell off on the pathway, so joyful. We arrive the place a bit early before the checkin time. The staff kindly helped us stored luggages and cheerfully hand over a glass of calamasi juice to us. So sweet! The room is a small but comfortable two storage loft, with a southeast style wooden couch in the first floor and the bedroom at the second floor. There is no TV in the room but air-con. You don't need a TV on bohol island anyway. There is diving school in the hotel, you can take shower and wash your equipment before and afer your activity. Beach is just 2 second scroll, and there's outdoor rest couch everywhere, felt great sit there and enjoy the sea breaze at night. Highly recom to my friend who wants to go t Bohol. Reasonable price is another point attracted us.
Great location with sumptuous breakfast”
i recommend oasis resort as the place to stay if you would want to go to alona beach (panglao island). it provides enough privacy with the separate cottages and mainly due to the layout style of the resort. the rooms were clean and spacious. there were hot/cold water, hairdryer, refrigerator, water boiler with the room that we had chosen. breakfast included in the package is fulfilling: not too oily, and tasteful. staffs were accomodating.
Oasis resort is an amazing place to stay, staff are Fantastic, food and restaurant is amazing very reasonable priced service is amazing the customer service at this resort is outstanding , great buffet breakfast every morning, great swimming pool also if you like to dive or want to learn there is a great team at the resort for you to do this with. Great spa as well Great beach location close to other bars and restaurants We had a fantastic time staying here for 7 Days Thanks Oasis for making our stay so Enjoyable We will be back
Good Hotel with a nice pool”
We stayed at the Oasis resort for 3 days in the middle of February. The price of the rooms was very fair, and included breakfast. The hotel arranged for an airport pick-up for us, which made the transfer very easy. We were greeted by very friendly staff. The rooms are good size, with an upstairs bedroom and living area/bathroom on the ground floor. Breakfast was excellent, although we chose to eat at other restaurants/bars in the evening during our stay, so can't comment about the food otherwise. The resort is built on a large plot, with the pool area a good distance from the beach, giving an air of tranquility, despite being right in the middle of the Alona Beach area. Having wandered around the beach and the town, we would definitely choose to stay at the Oasis for any future trips to Bohol.
Lovely resort with delicious food and nice staff”
I switched to Oasis after a terrible experience at a guesthouse down the beach. For only 1000P more, Oasis provided a world of difference. The rooms are lovely and luxurious, located in a nice quiet setting. There's a very nice swimming pool as well. The food was fantastic, I ate most of my meals there. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The dive shop associated with it, Seaquest, is a fantastic place to do some diving. All in all, it was a great experience. I would definitely go back there on my next trip.
Excellent. 5 star service for the cost of 3. ”
My wife and I stayed at the OASIS for 5 nights and had an excellent time. The staff are very friendly, helpful and provided 5 star service. The food was good, especially the breakfast with no “real” stop time at 10am. We could still have more toast, coffee and juices at 11am!!! The room was very nice, and close to the adequate, and not cold, swimming pool. The whole place is very quiet and relaxing and very close to a nice beach where we also had excellent seafood. One problem eating at the beach restaurants is the loud live bands which start too early, but this was only at one part of the beach. I would hope that there are not more live bands in the peak season. BUT the noise did not filter through to the OASIS compound. A boat trip to nearby islands for snorkeling is worth it (P1,700 for 2), as is a trip to the Chocolate Hills, the sanctuary to see the Tarsier, a hanging bridge and a floating restaurant (with buffet lunch). (All for P4,500 for 2). I would add that the construction of an extension within the compound was not as noisy as it could have been and most of any “noisy work” would by now have been finished. We will certainly return and advise our friends to choose the OASIS. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.
Wonderful stay at Alona beach”
Oasis is perfectly located at Alona Beach with a wonderful ambiance of greens and bamboo architecture huts. The moment you walk in, one can get a feeling of getting into a nature resort. Though you may not see the beach directly, but it's just a few steps from the rooms. Rooms are tastefully done with all bamboo interiors giving you a cosy experience. The balcony overlooking a pool gives just the oasis feel, as the name says. Facilities are incredibly good and cost effective. From pool access to spa and a delicious food & beverages menu at its restaurants. The beach side restaurant is a must visit. Overall it's a perfect stay for all kinds of travelers.
Great budget hotel ”
We chose this hotel after an extensive review of all the options available in the area . We wanted to be on Alona beach but at a level higher than a lot of the budget accommocation in the area . We were very happy with our choice . This is a budget traveller area so the accommodation is basic( no sink plugs ) and for sure the rooms would benefit from a fresh coat of paint but the things that mattered were done very well . Nice big fluffy towels, Comfortable beds with nice linen, air conditioning that worked and a nice ceiling fan plus a shower that gave hot water with a decent pressure for as long as you wanted it plus the rooms were immaculate . The staff were very good , we left each morning early and so they made us fresh sandwhiches of our choice to take with us . the restaurant and bar had a good selection of food and wine and the quality was above average for the area . It is an area high in diving activities so not for a long stay if you don't dive in my opnion but for a few days it was perfect .
It’s my first time in bohol and booking Oasis as my hotel is the best decision I have made. Staffs are so nice, they always greet you with smiles on their faces. Location is superb.. quiet yet if you want to party you can just go out of the back gate and tadaaa!! you’re on the beach already. Food on the restaurant is nice. Breakfast is simple yet delicious, it has variations so not a problem. The room is clean, beds and the pillows are so comfy. The room interior is more of a bamboo-ish kind of set up which I like, the bathroom is good as well. My stay for 2 nights is beyond excellent. Till next time.
nice place to live”
At first I choose this hotel because I dive with its dive shop Seaquest. Then I found Oasis is a nice place. The staffs are kind and helpful. Breakfast is OK. The location is good, front door is in the main street with lots of food, back door is just on the beach. So it is very convenient to go anywhere. The only drawback is that it is a little noisy at night as it is close to bars.
Very nice hotel”
Stayed for 2 nights at Oasis in the superior room, which was great. Hotel is set in nice gardens and fronts the beach, where there is a good restaurant and bar. Hotel has made at least a superficial effort to be environmentally friendly (e.g. water bottle refills) which is good to see. Also used the dive shop (Seaquest) which was friendly and well run
Popular divers resort on the popular Alona Beach.”
We were there during the Chinese New Year i.e. 20th Feb 2013. The Resort was fully booked. They gave us a 2 level room with a living and bathroom downstairs and the beds upstairs (1 queen plus 1 single with an additional mattress fit for 4 ppl. I must say they need to improve on their plumbing system. We were advised not to dispose the toilet paper into the wc as it will clogged the toilets. The swimming pool is surrounded by the natural green and chalets which makes it looked very nice. Good for families with young children The friendly staff were helpful. The bar on the beach serves great food and "happy hour" cocktails which makes it popular. The restaurant serves a good variety both western and local and tasted good. The dive crew took care of us esp our son (13 yrs). We had Greg as our Dive Master. A nice beach resort with a Dive Centre.
beautiful garden ”
Oasis Resort was an definitely good choice, we really enjoyed the swimming pool in the late night, all the resort was so calm. Garden was beautiful, breakfast was decent, and there was a direct way to the beach from the resort. We've got 30% discount for the room because the resort is under construction, but never felt there's ongoing construction... :) one thing minus is wifi. it never works stable.
Wonderful! Well worth the money. ”
We had a wonderful time. It was quiet and peaceful and no sales people until you got to the actual beach. The food was superb and the people were wonderful during our entire stay. The Seacrest Dive Center gave very good service and tried to make sure we were outfitted. They did not have my size slipper for snorkeling. So one of the workers loaned me her personal ones until they could bring over a pair from another shop. The all day tour of the island, that was offered by the resort, was well worth every peso and then some.
Nice hotel with a relaxing ambience”
We loved this hotel! The hotel has a nice pool surrounded by villas. We enjoyed the pool even after the sunset when it was a bit chilly at the beach. The hotel is located a few steps away from the beach. At night, you can easily walk to the beachside street with restaurants and bars (Alona Beach is not that big anyway), yet it is very quiet in the hotel premise. The food they serve at the hotel restaurant is great - looks very pretty and delicious indeed. We would definitely choose this hotel if we would come back to Panglao.
Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff”
Everything about Oasis is excellent, except Alona Beach. The beach is lovely, but too touristy and busy for us. If you are a diver, or interested in nightlife it would be more appealing. We also went in high season. The bungalows are set back from the beach overlooking the pool and garden and even when there are parties and live music on the beach or the main road it is quiet and serene at Oasis. Breakfast was great and some items changed every day. Lunch and dinner were also very good. Rooms were clean, and I can't say enough that the staff is wonderful, helpful and was very kind to our three year old. The owner was kind, knowledgeable and helpful.
Our stay at the Oasis Beach and Dive Resort was nice and quiet. We had a baby and the resort had ample room to walk around and keep the baby happy. The gardens and pool area were nice and quiet when we are sleeping but just stepping outside to the beach has restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
Take a look at these facilities:
