Good location
The hotel is in the walking distance from the train station. In the map it looks to be next to the station but from the station I had to go to the entrance which is next to the main road and then walked back to the hotel. I found several shops along the way but it would be a bit dark and isolated at night time to walk in. All in all it is a perfect place if you need to catch the train the following morning.

an oasis for the weary traveller
location, breakfast, staff
quite good. This hotel is across the road but down a bit from the Railway Station. The only time we heard trains was when we were at breakfast and a train was whistling out of the station. The breakfast was good - buffet style with a choice of eggs and they even made an omelette to order for Pauline. The girls running the massage business at the side of the hotel were extremely good and one of them has lived in Australia and her English is really good, but her arranging skills are even better. If you need a Song Taew or a Rental Car or need to know the best cooking schools or places to go ask her.

staff, room and location
we are very glad to stay at oasis. the staff is very friendly and helpful. they help to take care of our luggage for 2days without charges. they help us to make a call using hotel hp. just one thing, the extra bed is not comfort. the mattress is very hard and the pillow is not comforting. hope they will improve the quality of the extra bed. other than that, this hotel is very good! thanks oasis!

Not too bad
Near the railway station. Good idea for the first day or last day in Chiangmai if you have to take the train to other places

Far from town, good for price
Price, comfort, staff
Slightly better than a basic hotel, the rooms were fairly large and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was okay but not great--limited selection but it did have all the basics, acceptable quality. Despite the Agoda listing saying it was in the center of town, it's actually a 25 minute walk from even the edge of the interesting part of town (which is from the river westward). You'll want to take a cab or similar to and from town--you can't just step out the door for an interesting walk. Agoda's maps make it difficult to tell the exact location. It is right next to the train station, though, so if arriving by train late at night or leaving early, it would be convenient. However, the price is right, and because of the less-desirable location it may be more likely to be available at the last minute when everything truly in town or closer to it is full. And, in fact, for the price, you might be limited to more hostel-style accommodations in town, so the comfort of a full regular hotel room at the same price may be worth the bit of inconvenience.

Close to railway station, kind staff.proper price with clean room
I stayed 3days with my children and the facility is old but the hotel staff was so kind and good hospitality. It is convience for me to go and back to airport. In addtion the swiming pool was good enough to enjoy. Near to hotel, there were travel agencey to rent motobike or car. It is possible for peopel if someone want to travel to PAI.
