The Best Oasis Hotel ”
We were so very happy staying at Oasis hotel. Deluxe room was big and clean , staff was super friendly. The location was close to various decent restaurants (Indian food, local food , etc) . You can rent an electric motorbike to visit beautiful temples . Great place to stay for couple as the hotel quite and only has limited rooms (not crowded) . We will definitely stay at this hotel again.
Service was exceptional at this hotel. Keep up the good work!”
Had a wonderful stay at oasis hotel. We arrived in the morning at 8am from inle after a long bus ride. Expected to wait till noon to check in, but the front desk seeing that we looked so tired, allowed us to check in earlier at 9am. Even on the last day when we checked out at noon, the front desk allowed us to use a spare room to take a shower b4 our long bus journey to bagan at night. This was really nice of them as we were out looking at the temples when we checked out at noon, and returned back to the hotel hot and sweaty. This is something that most other hotels would not have done, as we had already checked out. Overall, wonderful service and i highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in bagan.
Was a great 2 night stay. Cannot beat central location so close to all the shopping centres. Also national stadium bts station on right out the front which is fantastic. You can take a train straight to/from the airport which is great to avoid the Bangkok traffic jams!
I was highly positively surprised. It feels like a little boutique hotel, without the price of one. The hotel grounds are beautiful and lush, the room was clean, comfortable and beautiful too, with TV, air con and even a safe. Staff was friendly and helpful. I had a little accident with a bike I rented through them and a new one was sent over immediately to the middle of the temples where I was. Breakfast was delicious, the only place in Myanmar I stayed where they had western and local options. I kept seeing all that breakfast food on the street but did not have the courage to try and was happy to have the chance there, where I knew it'd be clean. Just be aware that the block that separates it from "restaurant" street is a long one and you have to go through the main road because the others have no light, but cycling there is easy. If I have one thing to say is the food at the restaurant was a little overpriced, otherwise totally recommended!
A comfortable hotel in quite a good location”
This hotel was in Nyaung-U which is closer to the airport than Old Bagan and New Bagan meaning a taxi was only 5000K. Although there is a large concentration of temples in Old Bagan, they are literally everywhere and the better ones are not inside the gate. So where you stay is not so important. The hotel helped us get electronic bikes from outside the entrance (make sure you get a newer one). Seems lazy but the historical site is so huge and sandy that a bicycle becomes a chore. The breakfast was good but the juice was gloopy. The bread was sweet which I hate and found other bread around town which was not so there was no excuse. Coffee was very good. The staff were absolutely lovely and so helpful. Couldn't ask for anything more there. The map they gave us of Bagan was a great help but not always correct or easy to follow. They arranged a great taxi driver with very good English to take us to Mount Popa and the airport the next day. The hotel is located walking distance to good bars and restaurants although when we wanted to go into Old Bagan area for variety it did take a while on bicycle. That's why it's a lot cheaper I suppose. There was too much to do to use the pool but it looked nice but didn't seem to get much sun throughout the day. Good size though.
Nice little rustic hotel!”
the hotel reminds me of the last hotel i stayed in bali..with coconut trees just outside the rooms. spacious room with wooden room and large comfy bed soon made us feel relaxed. bathroom was clean, except for the fact that its quite hard to close the door, and the drain in the shower was pretty clogged..it took some time for it to drained the water (need some fixing)..we stayed in room no.3 but no complain otherwise..one of the best hotel we stayed at in myanmar
Cosy little boutique hotel with great staff”
Prior to our arrival, the hotel had already kindly emailed us to see if they could assist us with anything. Upon our arrival, staff greeted us warmly and their English was understandable and good, though of course not perfect as English is not their main language. The staff also helped answer any of our queries regarding Bagan and its surrounding areas. The staff really were helpful and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable, with the aircon providing relief from the afternoon heat. The bathroom was nice and clean as well, with the standard amenities (comb, razor, toothbrush, shampoo, etc) provided. The pool provided a nice place to relax as the afternoon heat prevents you from doing much in afternoons. However, the only downside we could think of were that our TV didn't work and the water pressure of the shower wasn't too great. But this did not really affect the enjoyment of our stay as it were just minor issues for us. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.
New Year trip Bagan”
Location was not bad, has e-bikes rentals nearby and walkable distance to restaurant street. Breakfast area nice, breakfast basic. Cleanliness not so good, housekeeping does not seem to have clean our bathroom at all during our 6days stay there. Tioletries does not get replenish at all after the first day, if tissue box is out stays out. A few of the days rubbish bin was not emptied out, some times get towels, sometimes not. Shower does not drain very well, floods while you shower. Superior room small. Did not think value for money.
great little hotel ”
great little hotel. breakfast was pretty meh and restaurant service was deathly slow. but overall rooms are nice, staff is accommodating, and they have a nice tiny pool for dipping yourself in after a long day of temple watching. you can't go wrong here.
Loved this place”
Definitely stay here. They're so helpful and so accommodating. One thing to note if you're coming in on an overnight bus and the hotel is full, it is a looong day before check in. So maybe book a room the night before?
Quiet, but in a good location.”
Between market and the restaurant street. Both in walking distance. Also not far from the boat pier and airport. For the temples you need a vehicle anyway and the little extra drive is ok. Room was nice and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Especially the little croissants were excellent. Garden was well maintained, pool looked good and clean, though we did not use it.
very disappointing ”
I switched to this hotel when I decided to extand my trip in bagan. location is ok , so is the swimming pool. room was barely bigger than a closet. TV did not work. bathroom pipes were stuck. staff is renting ebikes, very slow and in poor condition, for more money that you'd get a new one in town. they also take commission for getting you bus ticket, which I haven't seen anywhere else in myanmar.
Absolutely great boutique hotel”
I can only recommend to stay there. Deluxe rooms are really nice but even standard rooms are excellent. The garden and the swimming pool gives it the relaxed athmosphere you need in Myanmare. There are very helpful but sometimes lack of English is a little challenge. I would stay there anytime again.
A bit pricey for solo but deluxe rooms for couples on point”
This booking was for a standard room and the previous day I had a deluxe room. Unfortunately the standard room wasn't as nice as the deluxe. The deluxe rooms should be the standard in my opinion. Especially for $65+ that's pretty pricey comparatively. My deluxe room was everything expected and the day after I got back to my standard room, it was a bit disappointing. The biggest thing was it looked like someone used the bathroom previously receiving the room. There was a foul odor and it seemed like they tried to spray some deodorizer to hide it. I didn't complain to staff because I'm traveling by myself. Had I been with the wife, there would have been more reason. Just something to keep in mind. Also, there wasn't a basket of goods like there was in the deluxe room, like cotton buds. Spend an extra couple bucks for the newer deluxe rooms if you want some luxury or your nearing the last leg of your trip.
Great option for the price and location”
Clean basic hotel with very nice pool. Close (10 mins walking) to all the restaurants in town and the reception staff are eager to help and make renting EBikes (the best way to get around and down to Old Bagan) a breeze.
Clean, quiet, great pool”
Oasis Hotel was certainly an oasis in Bagan. It is only a 5 to 10-minute walk to Restaurant Row, for meals and e-bike rental. The standard rooms sit in a longhouse block closest to the breakfast area, and are well-set up. The swimming pool area was similar to that found at a resort, with lounge chairs and towels provided, and the pool itself is nearly 25 meters long - perfect for fitness swimmers to get some exercise. This was a fantastic hotel to come back to for the afternoon hours after spending the morning touring temples.
Clean and lovely hotel ”
Nice room and well landscaped hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially by the front reception and breakfast session. They allowed us a late check out and also allowed us to hang out by the pool whilst we waited for our night bus. We had the room by the pool and it was well located near restaurants. For the electric bikes, we rented from sarata store, just up the road from the hotel. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Deserves a higher rating than 8.0”
I loved this hotel. It was the perfect location for my plans. I wanted to be near the restaurants and in a quieter location as well. The hotel is on the main road down to the most visited pagodas. I loved the Ebike ride down this stretch. So easy. The Ebike rental place next door is so convenient. I've read where some people went elsewhere to save a few bucks a day on the rental. Well, unless you're on a tight budget, I'd much rather pay $3/day to roll up in the evening to drop it off then walk 10 steps to my room. Speaking of the Ebike, I would ask them to charge it up in the afternoon before I went out again and I trust they did, but one night my bike died ate a ways from the hotel after moderate use that afternoon. They'll come rescue you (just flag a local and they'll call the number on the bike) so don't worry too much about this, but I do think some bikes are better than others. Bike #1 lasted the longest for me. Make sure you arrange an all day rental if you plan to see the sunrise. They'll give you a key for the bike and set the bike inside the hotel gate the night before. If you don't see a hotel staff at 5:30AM To open the gate, knock on the door, they're in the office. Back to the hotel, the rooms were so nice and the separate toilet/shower was awesome! The brick shower was just beautiful. They have a nice TV if you want to catch up a bit on the news, a safe, a fridge/minibar, complimentary water every day, a pretty decent breakfast, a beautiful pool, high functioning air conditioning unit. They always had staff available with good English skills as well. All of the guests I saw were westerners, so if you want to interact with some folks who probably know English, this would be a good place. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. I'd rate it a 9.5/10.
Couldn't have had a better stay!”
We had a fantastic stay @ Oasis. First and foremost the staff were top notch! Always ready and happy to help. Early check in, tips for getting around town, help changing money (on a Sunday)! Shout out to Shine who went above and beyond. This is a beautiful property with clean rooms and a pool. *tip; book online. We paid half price by booking on Agoda opposed to showing up at the door.
overall a really good experience”
Really good location, a bit away from the crowded neighborhood yet easy access to all the attractions and restaurants. Awesome staffs, always pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. The only thing caused one star off was the swimming pool. It looked more like a fish pond. Please clean it up so people can use it.
