Keep on coming back here. And always extending my stay. This time several times. Comfy and cozy room. Basic,but all you need. Right on the beach,with popular restaurant. The owner family and staff are amazing. So nice and friendly and always helpful. Breakfast good with plenty of fresh vegetables and fruits. Excellent choice for all who wants real Thai hospitality.

Family of four”
Positives: Their restaurant was excellent. Great food and Beach location. Pool: Small but still good to have. No beach towels. Rooms: There was an error in their listing which indicated rooms available for 4 people. However, this was not the case and we ended up paying extra for a different room and extra bed. Price was reasonable though Overall, there are better options available for the same price or slightly more.

My girlfriend and I stayed for one night. It was ok but found a much nicer place for our next 4 nights. The facilities need remodeled badly. The highlight of our stay was the beach and the buffet breakfast....Delcious.

Great Value for the Location on Convenience”
Ocean View Resort was perfect, I was looking for a place close to the beach and a basic place to stay (clean room, working bathroom, good breakfast, and location to beach at a no-frills price) to explore Koh Lanta on scooter, and I got exactly what was needed. The only problem was my last minute reservation change on Agoda was not communicated to the hotel, so when I showed up, they did not have my reservation. I had the Agoda confirmation email and that help get me in the door. I got the Ocean View A/C 2nd floor view with an awesome balcony. The internet worked well, being right on the beach was perfect: Morning walk on the beach to do some SUP in the morning, and get on the scooter in the afternoon to explore the little roads on the island. The hotel is also along the main North-South road and that makes it very convenient to get to 7-11 and other markets. I really like Klong Dao Beach, not too crowded, nice long beach, restaurants along the way, and water sports available. I stayed for 3 nights and it was well worth it and will likely go back in my next trip to the area

Good hotel - great location”
We had a great stay at the Ocean View Resort in Koh Lanta. This was our first trip to Koh Lanta it was wonderful. We will definitely go back and stay here again. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the restaurant was very good also. They did a great job in helping to set up trips and activities.

quite OK, but nothing special”
Location is very good and Klong Dao beach is also quite nice and much better than long beach or prae ae beach. We were wondering that on these last beaches there was not many palms and sand was more rough. Also at the end on Prae Ae there was so many stones in the sea, that it was almost impossible to swim. On Klong Dao beach end were also some stones, but it did not disturbed, because there were still lot of places to go into water and swim. Ocean view main building rooms were 3 star level, so do not expect any high standard and the house was very close to busy street, so if you get a room of street side, then it is quite noisy. Garden side is OK if it is sea view, but some rooms had next building view (shed). Staff was very nice and friendly and pool was also clean and nice for kids. Breakfast was nothing special, but it was good that they also had fruits. In general Klong Dao shopping street was not very clean, but you probably get used to it with some days. Ocean view bed is really wide and it was ok to sleep with 3 year old kid together with parents in double bed. To sum up, then it was not luxury stay, but finally was OK and we felt quite comfortable as we could change to sea view rooms from street view:).

great staff, good location&room, calm!”
Miss L is absolutely awesome! The room was perfect: quiet, good AC, hot water, clean, etc. Koh Lanta was one our favorite area in Thailand - much calmer than Phuket, Ko Phi Phi, Ko Samui. Much less developed and more enjoyable for us. We stayed in a normal room (non-bungalow) and were perfectly happy. The uncrowded beach (with free chairs and towels for guests) was a 30 meter walk from our room. There are lots of nice restaurants within very short walking distance, and there is a convenience store just across the road where you can buy cheap water. Everything we needed! Would definitely go again.

Nice location in the middle of Klong Dao Beach, which caters to mostly families with small children. I, being a solo traveler still found it enjoyable and a nice escape after a few days in Patong. Elle in reception is very nice and helpful. Other reception staff even cleaned my "road rash" after a scooter incident that I would like to forget. Breakfast is included and you have a choice of 5 options. My favorite was the egg fritata with a side of fresh fruit. The bar/restaurant (Koala Bar) serves excellent frozen drinks and the food is among the best on the beach. I stayed in the Beachfront Bungalow, but all of the rooms seemed nice. Nothing exceptional, but clean with chilly AC. I would definitely return.

Perfect little Spot”
The Ocean View is really nice. The bungalow are big and clean. They all are on the beach. The location is very closed to Saldan - about 2km and from there you can rent a scooter and visit the island. The Staff is really friendly and lovely and they try to help in any way they can. If you give them your laundry it will come back smelling of cherry, sounds silly but I loved that. What we did not like at all is the Restaurant attached to the Resort, which is run by someone else as far as we could understand. It is attached to the resort and breakfast is in there. But we found it to be really dirty and unfortunately the staff is completely uninterested in the guests or in the service. Not much is needed, just a smile in the morning and some clean cups and brewed coffee and maybe some basic English. We also had lunch there once and was extremely disappointing and expensive. We got chips that were at least 2 days old and burned. We did not try anything else, but the Restaurant was always full. I stand by our first impression, the restaurant is dirty sorry.

Best hotel on the whole beach”
Ocean view was beautiful. We stayed in the budget rooms in the main building, but rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel seemed to be owned by a family and the daughter was the receptionist who was extreamly friendly, easy to chat to and very helpfull. The pool and beach front was lovely to relax in and beautiful view.

The resort was very clean and tidy- all staff were very friendly. The bar on the beach ‘koala bar’ was wonderful with the best food around. Tod the bar owner was very helpful using his contacts to secure our private taxi for our next destination stop around Thailand. Hotel staff were very kind and helped us when we had a moped accident cleaning our cuts and asking if we were ok. A very friendly atmosphere and you feel very safe. The added bonus of a beautiful beach view with an even better sunset. Just perfect!

Splendid place with the most friendly staff, great food - plus epic beach and snorkeling”
A fantastic place with a genuine fine pool and a wonderful view. There is no doubt that Koh Ngai is for people seeking the absolute calm and quiet atmosphere. The beach is beautiful, white and with nice sand. The snorkeling is outside of this world. the reef is only 20 meters out and that is worth going all the time. The food at the restaurant is great, especially their papaya salad and the fish in Paneng. the staff was so friendly and kind towards our 9 month old daughter and we would love to come back.

Pros: - there is a swimming pool and they provide beach towels - right at the beach - only a 15min walk from Long Beach, which I liked more than Khlong Dao Beach - only a fan in the room was okay (I stayed here end of November) - very close to 7 Eleven, ideal for breakfast - spacious room Cons: - the swimming pool could be cleaner - there is quite some noise in the rooms facing the street

Great location but very run down amenities”
Upon reaching the inn (won't even call it a resort/hotel), I was greeted by a very run down, messy and dim reception that does not look at all welcoming. The rooms had simple furniture, with cable tv. Toilet is also dimly litted, and not super clean. I had problems connecting to the wireless initially as there were multiple SSIDs. At night, you could hear the noisy traffic so not recommended for light sleepers. The only upside is the close location to the beach and you could catch the sunset. It's also lined with restaurants & bars, average price starts from 200baht for a decent meal. Definitely not for the budget conscious. Get the room option with breakfast to save some cash. There's a few breakfast options, and it's actually quite tasty. Breakfast runs from 7am to 10am. Thankfully I'm only staying there for a night. Was really glad to move out the next day to another resort. Wouldn't recommend Ocean View to my friends.

Nice location but a little overpriced.”
This is nicely located on the beachfront towards the southern end of Klong Dao. Some rocks and plenty of sand flats are exposed at low tide but the beach bar is still a nice place to spend time any part of the day. Bar became resort's restaurant lunnh & dinner - pm candlelit tables on sand nice but may be temporary if the military cleanup of Andaman beaches continues. Food okay with prices 20-50% above true budget beach restaurant levels but still low by western standards. However I was charged 60 baht for a large water (price not on menu for this often-ordered staple) which is way over the normal 20-13 (14 in a 7/111). Caveat emptor. Small pool quite nice. My standard fan room was in an older hotel-like block up near the main road. Traffic noise a problem. Fan ok but a bit noisy. Had frig, tv, ok hot water. good clothes storage. Clean. A bit overpriced compared to nice near-pool aircon room a few days before further south on Lanta. Inclusive breakfast not buffet but not bad. Higher priced bungalows looked nice.

The hotel location is the only thing good. I stayed at the main building, the wall is thin, you can hear others talking, especially the staff talk so loud!!!! The mattress is hard. If I were to stay here again, I'll chose the bungalow instead of main building. The beach at the hotel were plenty of 'rocks', beware of crabs if walking bare foot. Nice sunset view. The long beach is actually better than klong dao beach though.

Nice hotel with cozy atmosphere”
We enjoyed the stay at Ocean View Resort despite the weather conditions. Kids enjoyed the pool and the parents live footy on TV in the bar.
