Great staff but very noisy. ”
I never complain about noice as I think it's a part of staying at cheaper hostels. And everyone who knows me will say I sleep like a baby in no matter what conditions. But here, the walls are paper thin, we had a room close to the kitchen and from 5am onwards you just couldn't sleep. Also, they lock the doors from 9 or 10pm onwards and I could hear people knocking for 15min, well after midnight, no one would open, so in the end I got up myself to open the front door. Next day we asked for a different room and it was slightly better. Still quite noisy. They moved up upstairs, where you could hear everyone going up the stairs. Okinawa is close to some sort of a muslim prayer house and two days in a row they would chant there, with the singing going late into the night (and I mean late, as we didn't come home till 1am after going out). It was a nightmare. But perhaps just a special occasion as to why they were singing and chanting for so long? The staff was super nice and accommodating, helpful whenever you needed them. Breakfast was always tasty, although not enough for my liking (and I eat little fitter breakfast). Location was fabulous, saved us so much money on taxis - you can walk to so many places from the guest house. Thank you to the entire staff, albeit the noise.

Small hostel in small alley”
It's quite good location for discover local life: near Sule pagoda & local market. Hotel room is spacious, clean but have mosquito (hotel provide us the net). No hot water. My room is in front, near the receptionist so quite noisy all day because room do not have sound insulation. Nice and friendly staff (the young boy about 12 year old, may be the son of the owner). In general, it is reasonable room with that price but not suitable for who looking for privacy and quiet.

The hotel is a bit run down. The location is great next to the Sule pagoda. There is no window in the room and it is very stuffy. The room is very sharp-eared.

Very nice budget hostel”
Amazing stuff, speaking english,always keen to help. Wonderful breakfast (eggs, toasts, noodle soup, coffee, tea). Clean rooms, bathroom was not the cleanest one but still ok. We wanted to stay 1 night, stayed 3. Recommend!

Uncleaned room and grumpy/absent staff ”
The receptionists were hardly ever around, but their small children/siblings were sometimes there to watch TV (This is their home, the whole extended family seems to be living in the back rooms) and got up to get them after a while. The staff was always grumpy at Okinawa 3 (where agoda bookers go). Okinawa 2 staff down the street was a bit nicer, id rather book with them by calling them or showing up without prior bookings. The en suite rooms are on the ground floor, between the reception and the rooms where the hotel staff family is living, ie. always noisy, both in late evenings, middle of the night when someone is trying to get in and early morning (from around 5-6) when early risers gets up and the staff makes breakfast. Also, the breakfast frying smell filled my whole room. The first stay i had, the room wasn't washed from the last guest. The bin was still full and it was dirty. Both stays, the duvets had blood stains etc, so ended up sleeping in my sleeping bag. Very expensive for what you get, not recommended. Id expect this for around 5 dollars, not 30.

It's an old guesthouse with low price and en suite bathroom. No hot shower available. Location is near Sule Pagoda and walking distance to popular eateries.

cheap and good”
it's very cheap price, with strategic location, walking distance to Sule Pagoda. eventhough the street looks gloomy and dirty. and also the reception looks old and dark. but the staff is friendly with limited english speaking, but it's ok. They allow us for early checking. because we actually didnt sleep over, we just need the room facilities before we continue our journey to Bagan. we take a rest, quite comfortable bed with AC, and clean toilet inside. not bad at all.

Good location for walking from the airport bus stop and to the Dawei ferry. ”
The room was quite big but dark. There were frequent power cuts and as it was June, it was really hot and humid. From recollection, I don't think they had a generator, but you might want to ask them in advance before booking. The breakfast was a basic local one. The best thing about it was it's easy walk from where the airport bus dropped us off. You can walk to Sule Pagoda and it wasn't too far in the Grab taxi to the station. Bus stations are quite far away, though. There is a night market 5 mins walk away on Saturday nights near the ferry.

We did not have a good experience with this hotel. On arrival, there was no one to check us in. Eventually a young kid who didn’t seem to know what to do turned up. After a while he phoned somebody and we were given a key (room 104). All the lights in the room seem to be 5 W light globes. Upon turning on the lights, you could see that the light was on but hardly any elimination was coming out! A poor and inconvenient attempt at cost saving! Next, there was no hot water! Despite the hotel listing, there was no Wi-Fi in or near our room. there was a Wi-Fi signal beside reception, but the Wi-Fi did not work! Next morning, when we got up, there was no water at all so we had to leave without showers! But hey, this hotel is not all bad! The view of the hotel from the street looks good with all the plant greenery and so is its location. That is about all it has going for it! Cannot comment about the ‘free’ breakfast as it started at 6 AM and we were out of there by 5:45 AM!

You buy cheaply you get cheaply”
It was a nice size room but the room was dark(Windows don't open) and sometimes hot. The air conditioner would not work properly. There is no hot water & at certain times no water at all. The location is convient and the stay is very simple. If you want to buy a cheap spot to stay you'll get everything cheaply.
