Great retreats”
We visited Okinawa at the beginning of Mar and stayed one night at the JAL Okuma Private Resort. Since we did not drive in Okinawa, it took us some time to get to the destination. But when we arrived, we were attracted to this beautiful resort. The nice flower decorated lobby pathway and the beach that is located right opposite to the resort. We enjoyed the resort although the weather was not very nice. Room is spacious and love the balcony design. Friendly staffs and awesome beach. We have a dinner at the little restaurant on the 2nd floor which serves traditional Okinawa cuisine, followed by a sauna. The next day, we rented a bike and toured around the beach area. It was a short journey but we have a very nice retreat time. Thank you for the great hospitality.

Second time to JAL resort Okuma!”
It's my second time to JAL resort Okuma, I love the beach nearby, spacious and nice room, great location to the north (As I travelled to Cape Hedo, the most north point of Okinawa). There was some misunderstanding when we checked it. I have booked two rooms for four people via Agoda, but the hotel could only see two rooms for two people from their own confirmation email. Luckily the hotel staffs are nice enough to help us with the arrangement. I suggested Agoda to look into this problem and avoid confusion, as it may jeopardise the trust between customers and the hotel.

Very private hotel”
It is a very pleasant stay in JAL Private Resort Okuma. They are located in a quiet area in the north of Okinawa. We stay at a 3 floors appartment. The seaview are beautiful and stunning. There water are turquoise and can see through into the bottom of the sea. The staff and excellent and attentive. They are running out to receive us when our car arrive the hotel. The service are professional and warm. Although the price is a little bit high, but the service we get is deserved.

Huge and beautiful resort ”
Parking was rather far away for us staying at the main cottage. The resort is beautiful and they have a private beach just opposite the resort. They have van and carts to shuttle you to your room if you request for it. Our room was a little small for 4 of us but it was clean and everything was working well. We enjoyed the spa and sauna (opens at 3PM-11PM). The pool closes rather early at 1800 but it seems to be the norm in Okinawa. Water activities were quite expensive.

We really had a wonderful time at Okuma. My grandson who was visiting us here in Okinawa from the US enjoyed the breakfast buffet, pool and the beach at the hotel very much. Thank you very much for the wonderful memories. We sure looking forward to staying there again!

Very Nice Resort with Friendly Staff”
It was like in Hawaii but with more reasonable budget. We enjoyed making shisa, kayaking, short biking, playing on the private beach, snorkeling, dining and sauna. Food tasted reasonably good. (We tried Okame, the main dining hall, and beachside barbecue restaurant. Staff was very nice everywhere.) overall, it was a very nice vacation except 2 of us couldn’t make it to their free shuttle bus and Okuma is 2 hours away from the airport.

Family Getaway”
Booked 2 nights for a family getaway! Staff was friendly and resort was beautiful. Only downfall was the pools were closed, the beach was closed. Basically everything fun for young families was closed. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and service was great. Dinner at the Surfside Cafe was a little disappointing most food was cold and in the tiniest portions. It was pretty pricey for what it was. We’d go back again if the pool and beach were open. Those were the main reasons we chose this place. The room was nice and perfect for our needs. The resort grounds were beautiful!

Exceptional”
We used the Main Cottage (there are the garden cottage where 4 units are in a cluster in a single storeyed building, main cottage where there are several units at a 2-3 storey building with lift, and the Grand cottage). There are 3 single beds! Huge room and would really be good for 3 pp. Hotel clients get to use the onsen for free, and it’s a good one. The beach is good (was closed so no swimming for us). Breakfast had a good spread. The hotel encouraged clients to be environmentally friendly - we stayed 2 nights and for not asking for change of sheets and towels and cleaning, the hotel gave 1000y vouchers. We used it to offset the 500y parking fee There are washing machines (200y for a 30 min wash - fixed) and dryers (100y for 30 min - fixed) for the convenience of clients. Washing liquid is free. All the instructions were in Japanese. One set of English instructions would hv helped. The dryers didn’t dry our clothes well. We had to finish the job with hair dryers.

Great & Relaxing Resort with Beautiful Beach”
All the services, facilities are great, its different with the other resorts, large rooms with garden give u a relaxing stay. Unfortunately, there is one thing u should notice. This resort is located at the north part of Okinawa, it takes around 2 hrs from the airport. There is not much to do in the north part, so if you would like to go to some hotspots, you will need to spend more time on travel.

Exceptional”
Spirits dampened due to the rain when we visited Okuma. However, the stay made up for it! The breakfast at the accommodation was incredible, ranging from international selection to that of local must trys. Even though there were a lot of people queuing, the staff managed to stagger the crowd and made the whole experience really enjoyable.

a way close to the natural world ”
JAL Private Resort Okuma locates at the norht part of Okinawa, well planning for the travelling route is needed. Green and blue are all around. Weather is cool as of HK when we were there in early of Dec. Hotel provides many tours for outdoor activities and the price is reasonable. Activities are well serves to families with Kid or couple for leisure. Bicycles are ready for rental and it is very relaxing when you ride around the village. The car park of the Hotel is big and is free of charge.

Excellent Resort”
Beautiful resort with a beautiful private beach. Breakfast was also excellent. On site restaurants were also very good. It's a bit far from the airport and Naha so rental car is recommended. Would definitely visit again.

Nice big rooms, nice buffet dinner”
Its far away but very private. Large clean rooms and great dinner buffet. If driving in Okinawa and want a private getaway. This hotel is strongly recommended as you are left at the resort with nothing close to kill your time. Closest town is 40mins drive away.

Excellent”
Lovely hotel. The breakfast was amazing - huge selection, proteins, traditional Japanese breakfast items, fruit, wonderful baked goods. Even in the off season, the beach was lovely and made traveling around northern Okinawa easy. Would stay there again for sure.

Wonderful week stay at a beautiful resort”
The resort was quiet, clean and secure will all needed facilities. The sunset view and beach are breathtaking with beach sports available. The pool is nice and clean with a lifeguard always on duty. The breakfast buffet was great and there are a lot of nice restaurants around the resort that you can ask for a list at the desk - which are more affordable than those in the resort.

On the Outskirts”
The JAL Private Resort Okuma is on the outskirts of the northern part of Okinawa. There are waterfalls a short drive away. The resort gives you the feel of an all inclusive resort.

Very good and "private" resort”
If you rent a car, the location of resort will not be any problem. However, if you did not consider any rent-a-car, chatered taxi service costs 18000 yen (6 hours) from Naha city. The most benefit of this resort is to provide good sauna system which is really almost same with Korea's and it provides you a private reliefs with beaches and other things to enjoy. But they commonly speak Japanese only and most of the notices are written as Japanese too. However, they were kind enough for us to be parted in their resorts during our stay. 95 out of 100, this is my conclusion and I will use this resort in July 2018.
