"We very much enjoyed our stay here for 4 nights. The people running the place were so sweet and very helpful. The location was an easy to walk to almost anywhere in old city. The breakfast was sufficient and the coffee and water on hand 24/7 was nice. The only negative thing I have to say is about the room. The bed sheets weren’t always very clean and the shower water kind of takes over the whole bathroom- which I realized was a pretty common theme in the hotels I stayed at in thailand. There’s no separation of shower and rest of the bathroom so whole bathroom floor collects about an inch of water when showering. I want to add that the people at the desk helped us book an elephant tour and called an airport cab for us. There’s some very affordable, nice western restaurants nearby if thai street food isn’t your thing. "

"I just returned from a solo stay at Aksara Heritage while in Chiang Mai. I had the most amazing time exploring Old City from this central location. This was the perfect boutique hotel for my short stay and I enjoyed everything about it. It was so clean and spotless! The staff was friendly and attentive and I loved my room. It had a very modern and stylish look. The blackout blinds had me sleeping very well, and the free minibar and snacks which included water, soda, fruit, and crackers was such an unexpected and sweet surprise. The breakfast was decent too. I can't wait to come back to Chiang Mai and stay here again. "

"Nice accommodation with very comfortable bed. Great location in Old City. Cool folks at the tattoo parlor next door. My boyfriend got a bamboo tattoo which was very nice. Only bad thing about this hotel is that the bathroom smelt like rotten vegetables and mold due to bad drainage and standing water. We bought a glade plugin but was still terrible smelling. We moved hotels after 2 nights, but I'm not sure if that happens in all rooms or we just got a dud. The pool is great and the foyer looked like a museum with amazing artifacts! Beautiful grounds. "

"It locates on the main street of the old city,so it is convenient for people to go anywhere in old city and buy things from BOOTS, 7 11, and find restaurants. Dark style in the single room, decoration is not new and not nice, but it has a balcony! Weak door and walls of the room, so you can hear people’s voice in the common area. The worst thing I want to say is, soooo noisy at nights, you can hear the noise of motorcycle from the street. I know I cannot ask for more because of the value for money."

"It is a clean neat hotel in Old city. With best location and most friendly helpful services, we have a wonderful stay for two nights there after our riverbank stay. Most enjoyable is their lovely simple breakfast buffet and a quiet clean peaceful swimming pool. I would recommend the premium new deco room which we choose or quiet garden view quiet room on gnd & lower floors."

"We found ourselves back in Chiang Mai, this time at Nanya. Took the gamble and it paid off. This is a budget hostel but does not feel like one. Feels like a standard hotel. The female staff in the mornings make the stay totally worth it. Always smiling and greeting you. The pool is probably the biggest selling point in our eyes. You won't find a hotel in Old City at this price point that offers a pool. It is very clean and they are constantly maintaining it/the property. Rooms are basic but clean. The property doesn't "advertise" breakfast but they have complimentary: toast, cereal, coffee, tea and juice in the mornings. Wifi is kind of weak in the rooms (falls in and out) but the lobby connection is very strong. The property even held onto our bags for a week while we were on a road trip. Overall really liked this property and booked here several more times while in the city!"
