Saw a rat!!”
This guesthouse is conveniently located, there are restaurants offering happy hour specials and entertainment. The hotel staff are helpful with giving directions. They also give you a pamphlet with all the free things going on that week in Penang. I would say this guesthouse is perfect until I went to sleep only to hear the rats in the wall... on my last night I saw a huge rat in the lobby walking !! The bathroom was kept clean... Other than the rats in the wall and walking about the hostel is fine.

Perfect Location”
Only for a night and I wish I could stay longer! The Indian lady at the counter was friendly and helpful. The location is superb, right in the middle of Georgetown, walking distance to the nearest Char Kuey Teow, Durians, and other street foods during the night. I walked to Chulia Street, Little India, Armenian Street, all the artsy murals and the terminal bus jetty too to catch busses to Sungai Nibong Bus Express Terminal and other touristy places. Everything looks well-maintained, clean and you can feel the old Penang vibe too!

Nice place in a good location ”
Good location in the backpackers area, very close to evening street food stalls and a shop selling cheap booze. We were lucky that we were given a room with a window but I don't think all the rooms have one. Shared bathroom and shower facilities were in good condition and pretty clean. The room price includes breakfast, though that only consists of tea/coffee, toast, butter and jam, plus some melon if you're lucky. This could be improved a bit. The place has a nice feel about it but there are cheaper places to stay in the area, perhaps not including breakfast but there's so much food around anyway (and for very cheap) , that won't be a problem.

Great place”
Lady at reception is really nice and helpful, all staff. Really cool building with courtyard inside where you can chill on couch or tables. Free tea coffee all day. Standard brekkie. Room with no window were spacious and clean. AC a bit noisy in room 9 something to fix perhaps. Bathrooms clean most of the time. Great base to explore city, close to street art, chinatown, street food- everything

Excellent atmosphere!”
Definitely worth for money. I did not stay in the bunk-bed-room, i stayed in a single room (shared bathroom). Everything was just fine, facilities are complete, hot shower works very well. Surrounding might be very noisy as this hostel is just few steps away from the midnight pubs and bars as you can still drop the beat (lol) from your room even it is 3:00 am! This is true, and I like it. Do not worry about foods and shops,as they are just walking distance range from the hostel. The receptionist, an Indian lady named Ms. Jeya is so friendly that she showed everything and recommended place to eat.

Excellent”
Great location, in the heart of Old Penang right beside Chulia Street, good food around, bus stop near by, nice and helpful staff if you need anything. Simple but good breakfast. If I return to Penang this is one of the spots to check for rooms.

Didn't want to leave!”
Loved our stay here. Double room was lovely and comfortable with a spacious bathroom and high ceilings. Place has a lot of character which suits Penang. Amazing location to bars, Chinatown and little India. Only complaint was that wifi was very on and off.

Excellent little spot ”
Beautiful huge old building set in the heart of Georgetown. Lots of space and cool in the rooms. The owners were very helpful when I made a booking error and I could use their phone. Free breakfast and tea/coffee. Free shower wash and decent showers. The wifi was glitchy but that's Malaysia for you.
