All good. but somethings to keep in mind. Just next to the room outside there is a water pump, that make quite a noise. A staff can tell you wrong infos (bus infos), so don't rely on it.

Nice, value for money place in the heart of the latin quarter. We stayed in the deluxe room which was a spacious room with a balcony. Comfortable common spaces. Simple breakfast, good coffee.

Not quite as expected ”
LP gave this place a good rap back in 2019. Yes the place is cute but there isn’t much cleaning/restocking toilet paper.. of the bathrooms, etc. Went to buy coffee and they never have change. Had the coffee that came with breakfast but that was pretty awful. The previously good Wi-Fi is just about non-existent now. Location is good to walk to other places. Helpful ordering me a taxi upon departure. Mixed review and feelings! 🙂🙁

This was the second time we stayed at the location after two years. Same room as before. Some of things that disappointed us 1 - Extremely difficult to contact the staff via phone. I had to call 12 times and messages 3 times before I got through to them. 2 - Computer in the room was not working. We needed to use and had reported it to staff. No action taken. 3 - Carpet and mattress and old and need lot of cleaning 4 - Bathroom flush was not working 5 - There is no change to breakfast menu in the last two years. Only 3 times that you can choose which does not change the next day or week. Only thing going for this place is the location.

How I felt during the entire stay was, How I wish I was not Indian. ”
Not sure if this is specific to this hostel or Goa in general. They just hate Indians, doubt Indians and overall discriminate against Indians. On my first day, I was greeted by the staff screaming at me and complaining about how annoying I was. The issue here was that I had to pay some extra tax and I kept saying the same was paid. However, I had given up and said just give me the room I shall pay. They were screaming at me in Konkani and I do understand it decently. I pretended as if I did not and asked if something is wrong, to be responded with "Oh no nothing, we were just talking amongst ourselves". Then took them hours to calculate what to pay, only to be refunded on the last day 😂. This was the point I debated and got screamed at. Extremely annoying restrictions in using the oven, smoking, friends at the property etc as well further. Further, any purchase you make at the cafe has to be instantly paid. Made me feel as if, they feared I would run away. Even when hostels have separate Food Vendors, they let you keep tabs. This cafe is part of the hostel. Oh, the free breakfast is a joke. 2 boiled eggs, 2 pieces of toasted bread or a single loaf cheese grilled sandwich and a hot beverage. The toiletries are seldom refilled on time including toilet paper. I could see them having stock and saying they don't, only to replace once an international guest requests for the same. Overall, the experience was extremely horrible. Just wanted to end it as early as possible but was stuck to a booking made for 10 days. I would certainly never stay here again and I do not recommend anyone do either.

The bath room was not cleaned since ages. They dont even have a bottle opener. The AC was totally ineffective and was making lots of noise. And why was the light only for the upper bed ? Why cant it be for all the beds ? And the light around the upper bed was like a search lite. Everyone use to wake up with just one light. Very bad experience. Will not recommend !

The neighbourhood is quiet and nice to walk through for a stroll. The nearby grocery shops have all you need. The old quarter itself has super friendly and helpful staff. Dont miss out on their coffee which is the best I had in whole Goa and India. The place is great to meet other travelers. Breakfast is delicious and the whole place looks really nice.

It is difficult to imagine more humble origins than those of the genius now hosting at old quarters, who in my opinion, are nothing less than the finest host in goa. Keep hosting!! You girls rock!!

Lovely place ”
+ I had a great stay at old quarter. The staff is very nice, friendly and helpful. They sell, homemade snacks, fresh juice, coffee and all... Really good. The breakfast was a typical goan breakfast, but you also have a choice with an occidental one. The location is very nice as well, very peaceful. - The dorm is not decorated at all, it's just 2 beds of 2 one table and one chair in a 4 white walls... it miss something fun in it.

Very lovely hostel situated in the old quarter of Panjim. Located near the bus station and close to many good restaurants. The cafe in the hostel is really good, their coffee is excellent and the breakfast was great too. Everything seemed clean and was comfortable. Only con is the wifi, it did not reach into our dorm room properly, or in some areas of the cafe too.
