Got free upgrade to room looking out onto princes street. Fabulous view of castle, Scott monument, old town buildings especially at night. Staff really nice, breakfast great. Location superb, 100 yards from tram to and from airport

Horrible stay”
The room was freshly painted, which had a heavy smell of painting oil. Besides, the double room was extremely small that we cannot even open our suitcases. The worst thing is that there was almost no ventilation with an unexpected small window! Really miserable experience with this hotel!!

Comfortable & convenient”
Getting to the reception with big luggage was a big inconvenience but I was told most hotels are located on 2nd floor of most buildings so no fault of the hotel. The room was spacious for the price I paid; the Internet was fast. There's no air-conditioning in the room, which wasn't needed since the weather was cool even in the summer. however, it does get a bit hot though. I thought a ceiling fan would be ideal. The bathroom was also spacious but the water pressure from the shower head could be stronger. Overall, I like the location a lot. Shops and restaurants nearby, the station just across the road and the old town's a stone throw away.

Perfect location and comfortable”
Location, room size, views
We only stayed for 2 nights, but the hotel was perfectly situated on Princes Street, within 5 minutes walk of Edinburgh Waverley train station and 10 minutes of the Royal Mile. A perfect base for walking around Edinburgh's main tourist sights. Our room overlooked the street side and I highly recommend this for excellent views of the castle and gardens of Princes Street. We had very limited interaction with staff, but check in and out were very efficient. We did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the food.

Not what I expected. The hotel was old and if you have heavy luggage You have a problem. A big problem to tug up the stairs to the reception

Location; cleanliness and food
We would like to stay at it as its room is cleanliness and completed facilities such as hairdryer, tea/coffee maker and iron too. However, the Wi Fi is not good enough and also disconnect easily.

great friendly hotel in the heart of the city”
Location is perfect ..
i stayed in the old waverley on princess street for the majority of a week. the hotel was easily the best value available in the heart of the city. had the cheapest smallest internal room which was great for sleeping but little room for much else. everything was clean and bed warm and comfortable. all the staff were friendly and helpful with any questions that i had. breakfast was buffet style and of a good quality with haggis included

Nice hotel and good location”
Right in the centre of Edinburgh, clean rooms, good breakfast
Very good hotel overall, 5 min walk from the train station and 10 min walk from the royal mile. There are plenty of nice restaurants nearby and few bars as well. The rooms were very clean and the staff friendly. I would definitelly recommend this place for a long weekend in Edinburgh.

ideal location on princes street
make sure you ask for a room not facing princes street unless you love hearing the bagpipes all day long. the rooms can get hot so ask for a fan immediately. otherwise the room was great. the hotel has breakfast but it is expensive.

Nice hotel with an excellent location”
Proximity to attractions, train station
the hotel is situated on princes street about a 5 min walk from the waverley train station. all attractions are within walking distance. we reached the hotel late morning and were given a room immediately despite being early for check in. our room had a really nice view of the city with the castle in the distance. the room was well sized with a fairly large bathroom. since the hotel is on the main road however a room on the lower floor would be a bit noisy with sounds of traffic. overall though great location and good service.

Great location and a fine rom.”
the room was alright
The elevator was out of order. Thats was a big problem.
Because of my mother's health I ordered a room at your hotel because of the elevator. When we arrived at your hotel we got the news that your elevator didn't work. We also got to know that we had got a room at the fourth floor. The only the personal could do was to give us a room at the second floor. That was the only avaiable. Because of this my mother got sick after our travel and our trip didn't become like we expected.

It was lovely. I was there during the last days of the Edinburgh' Festival and it was incredible. Music all over people having fun along Prices street. The hotel is in walking distance from the major city attraction. From my view I had a nice view of the castle and the park ;)

Hotel in posizione perfetta ”
Siamo stati bene
