Simply amazing”
I've never stayed at a place as warm and as special as this. The owners Thong and Pear go through great lengths to make sure that you're having a good time. One of the best things is that they really make the effort to connect the different people staying there. The hostel has got a very homey feel and the decor is a bit indie, just the way I like it. It is clean and they have hot water showers. In the end it's kind of hard to write a review about a hostel were you became friends with the owners. And that's what makes Oldie and Sleepy the best hotel/hostel I have ever stayed at.

Best hostel in Udon Thani ”
This is such an amazing place!! I stayed here in a group of 3 travellers in a dorm together. Tong the owner is just the best! Helpful with letting you know what there is to do in the area and suggesting itenaries and places to visit. He also cooks the nicest breakfast which is included. The hostel itself is clean, in a good area and has bags of character. We loved our stay here, can't recommend enough!! More travellers need to get off the well trodden Thailand trail and visit this region and for sure stay here at the Oldie and Sleepy hostel!!

Very good”
Very handy location near the old bus station in central Udon Thani. Bathrooms are good, but you could feel a lot of springs through the mattress, so they were pretty uncomfortable. The ceiling above the stairs was also pretty low; I almost banged my head a few times and I’m not particularly tall, so watch out. Staff were nice and it was a convenient place to stay between crossing from Vientiane and an early morning flight to DMK.

As the name Oldie and Sleepy goes, this hostel has a really hippie and chill vibe to it! Not only clean, it is also close to the Central Plaza and the host is very nice and friendly!

Great hostel and best burger ”
A nice friendly hostel in the centre of Udon, good staff and friendly vibe. Very good burgers made by the owners. The owners let me borrow their computer for a few hours because I was hacked and it was important. Would recommend for all.

I stayed 5 nights in Sleepy.. Super friendly owners (a young Thai couple)... Rooms are clean and the bed comfortable... Walking distance to Central Plaza mall and to the buses going to Laos...

I like the feeling when I steped into this hostel. very homey feel, I was greeted by the friendly owner. I like the room and everything is available in the hostel, you can feel that they set up the hostel by considering every single need of their client. Clean place, comfy bed, nice owner. Thanks for the great hospitality, I will definitely come back again.

nice vibe”
I arrived at 6 am and the hostel was locked. I called the owner and he drove to the hostel to open it so I could drop my bags and relax at the hostel until check in time. He then left so he could take his girlfriend to the airport. when he returned he let me check in early around 8:30am. he was super helpful and friendly!

good wifi”
I'm a wifi sucker who need to upload large files wherever i go and here is another strong wifi hostel. not recommend to get the fan dorm, i stayed in a/c dorm. It is very hot in summer, no air flow by the building design and absorb lots of heat. just walk passed an open door of the fan dorm, looks so pity. It will be very noisy from the road too. not to expect the provided breakfast, recommend going to the nearby local food shop (just few hundred meter away on the same side). i like their common area, but hot and too much mosquito.

I stayed at the hostel in Jan,2020. I was impressived by the cleaness and the sevice of the hostel. Everything was good expect there were some mosquitos. If I go to Udo again, I would definate to stay there.

A home away from home”
This was by far the best hostel I've stayed at in Thailand, so nice I went back and stayed longer, the owners are super friendly and always helpful, it really does feel like your'e kicking back at a friends house, hopefully I can make it back for a third visit!

Would stay again if in the town”
I can hardly bring up any bad things. Staffa are very thoughtful and helpful, comfortable bedding and cozy vibe. Could only be better if WiFi works well in the room but not a big deal as it’s working very well in common area.

Wonderful last minute choice”
It was raining, I was headed to Central PLaza area to find a place for the night and I found this place on Agoda. I booked it on the bus on the way to Central, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. The owner is a really nice guy. The place has an amazing atmosphere. Clean, chill, lots of sitting areas. And he even cooked up a nice egg breakfast for me in the morning. The rooms are clean, and the place seems to attract other nice people so I made some friends too. Great location, and it was raining that night so he lent me an umbrella to walk down the street to the mall.

Nice atmosphere, cheap, kind staff”
Furniture in public spaces is nice, the hostel looks new. Clean. Beds a bit hard, especially the upper bunk bed. The nearby road is a bit noisy. Breakfast very simple (one egg, two slices of bread) but it's included so no complaints!

Nothing to complain about”
The hostel has a good vibe and is close to the bus station. The staff is nice, they even gave me my bed before the usual checkin hour because I arrived by bus at 5am and were exhausted. The beds are comfy, and it’s clean. Only thing I have to say is maybe the breakfast is a bit light. Some fruits, cereals and jams would be great !
