Exceptional”
I really love the place with a nice pool. few steps going to the beach. But, the air-conditioner in the room was too high to reach. I had no choice but to unplug it directly whenever the temp is too cold.

Nice and relaxing resort but.....”
there was a mouse/rat swimming in the pool(well not really swimming but stuck in the pool). I'm not lying we actually saw it but not to blame the resort for these as they cant avoid these pests around. Overall nice resort and affordable.

Good Location”
I really loved this place for its location. Its near my favorite beach in Siquijor, the Paliton Beach. Would definitely stay here again.

Very good”
It's a short walk to Monkey Business and Dagsa (really cool restaurants). We were also able to rent a motorcycle at the hotel for I think Php50.00 cheaper than outside rentals. The free breakfast wasn't that fun, but it's free, and not really a problem since you can also check out the nearby restaurants. The staff were really friendly and accomodating. Favorite things: they also have a water dispenser, we just refilled our tumblers here instead of buying bottled water from outside. You can get a really REAAAAAAALLYYYYY great view of the sunset, the beach is right behind the hotel.

Nice place to relax and chill.”
Very budget friendly yet worth the you you pay. Breakfast is served continental style. Peaceful place if you want to get away from the city life and relax with your S.O. Also there are restos and eateries nearby at a walking distance.

The location is lovely.

Above average”
Pool doesn't appear to have been cleaned for a while -- it appeared to have some moss and the water looked greenish with it. Room (and toilet) could use more hooks to hang clothes in, as well as better lighting. No hot water, and airconditioner was not that cold despite being left on for the whole day. There seems to be an abundance of mosquitos in the area. So bring citronella.

TV is not working. Wifi connection is weak. Even the signal of cellular mobile phones are weak inside the room. They offer continental breakfast only.

Poor Quality”
The only redeeming factor was the staff, who were nice.

Not recommended during Habagat season”
According to the staff and our tour guide the months of June-November are the non-recommended months to visit San Juan. The reason for that is, the beach isn't pristine. There were a lot of seaweeds and the waves are too strong. So, they said that during these months, you have to book your hotel in Siquijor, Siquijor. Now, from December-May, you can surely book the resorts in San Juan. As for the resort itself, the room is okay and the pool is okay too. They serve American breakfast but if you want to request for them to cook you something else, they can do it too. We requested to have fried rice and dried fish on our second day. We gave them money to buy the ingredients and just gave them extra for their effort. The staff are really lovely and I would stay here again and make sure it's not between June and November.

Very nice stay, would choose ths place again”
Even we were a bit worried about some not so good responses about this hotel, they turned out not to be true during our stay. Food at the restaurant was served quickly and there were no issues about any dirt in the pool. We had a very pleasant stay. The beach at the hotel is probably the best part of the beach in whole San Juan town. The beach sector around One Sunset Hotel seemed to be the cleanest one in the whole few kilometers long beach around it. Staff was helpful in whatever we asked them for- towels, laundry, getting a transportation or a tour. A great place to relax apart from the hassle and rush of the big cities, value for money and very much worth the long travel to reach it.

You get what you paid for”
We stayed on this resort twice now and the first experience was really great which made us stay there again the second time we went to Siquijor. The first time we went was back on February 2018, it was Valentines and all the resorts are full. It was already getting late and we haven't found a place to stay. We then came across of this resort and they no longer have a standard room good for 2. Luckily, one of the staffs is from Cebu where we are from. We haggled with him and guess what, they let us stay on their family room for just 1000php! That was really a major point and another point is, the same staff cooked food for us and it was a bomb! The second time we went there was a week ago, and the experience was consistent. Kudos!

Great location , highly recommend ! ”
The resort located at the heart of San Juan , great location and easy to reach different bars and restaurants ! It’s right in front of the beach in case the pool is not enough ! The stay is definitely worthy for its price , friendly staffs , chilling environment , air con is good but there’s no hot shower , but overall everything exceeded our expectations!

Beach front . Stetch of white sand. Lavender sunset.”
One of the nicest places I’ve been to. The hotel is manned by only 5 persons who have done a good job of it even without the owner’s supervision. However, the restaurant is in a sad state of inoperation because the cook has been playing receptionist, plumber, housekeeper, bellboy at the same time and serving food would take too much of his jack-of-all-trade hours. Nevertheless, the rest of the staff makes an effort to cook the guests light breakfast of toasted bread and sunny side up eggs. If that doesn’t satisfy your morning constitution, there’s Dagsa, a famous restaurant nearby which serves really good food in a cozy atmosphere. All in all, what makes the place great is the hardworking staff who had been keeping the hotel in good condition, cleaning the pool, maintaning the garden even without maintenance funds. The money you pay if you book through Agoda or similar sites goes directly to the owner and the staff receives only the salaries due them. I’ve been told that the hotel has been sold to another and they’d be closing come December for renovation. I just hope the new owner retains these diligent workers. I would definitetly come back to this place in a year or two and if not for the white sandy shore, at least for Amil, the cute and cuddly grey tabby cat who I think embodied the real mystique Siquijor is known for.

Good place to stay”
It’s a good hotel/resort to stay in. The staff are all very kind and accommodating. The room and the whole resort is very clean. However, the only setback I experienced is that the aircon is not too cool, the shower isn’t working (although they have a pail and tabo), and my room’s door creaks badly. But those are just very minor and did not ruined my stay there. It’s good to take note also that the nearest decent restaurant is at least 700m away. Overall, I’d check in to this place when I return to Siquijor 😊

Pretty good place to stay when in Siquijor”
Positives: - Location (pretty close to 2 solid hangout places - Monkey Business and Dagsa) - Price (paid 20USD per night w/ free breakfast) - It has a pool Cons: - Staff could have been more helpful though could have just been that they were under-staffed (I only saw 3 employees). One morning I asked them twice to clean our room but when we got back at the end of the day, it hadn't been cleaned. - Beach isn't for swimming as there was barely any water and the shoreline was a bit rocky. However, we were told by the waitress at JJ's that the tide is very low on their side of the island during Nov/Dec; but higher tide in the summer time. Tip - Walk to the beach, when there turn left and you will see a restaurant called JJ's; it's fronting the beach with comfy seating. We had breakfast there one morning and ended up staying a couple of hours.

Excellent”
No problem with the room except for the broken comfort room door. Never expect a fancy accommodation for the price you paid. As what other users said, resort staff is friendly. They no longer have a restaurant but continental breakfast was served for free. Beach front was not that clean but sunset view was really superb.

Tranquility at its best!!!”
Staying at one sunset view, I was able to find peace and happiness. Just chilling along the beach with their hammock was a superb moment for me. Couldn't ask for more as I witness the magnificent sunrise and extremely romantic sunset. And of course, with great service, flexibility and extra mile from the staffs will make more of your vacation memorable. They treat each and every guest with sincerity and genuinity regardless of your nationality. Kudos to all, especially to Mike and Amil!!!
