One of the Best”

This is one of the best hotel and very inexpensive. Of course there are some flaws but that is for the guest to adjust, remember this is not your own home that everything is available. You can always find alternative outside the hotel. The room is big enough for 4 people (you to manage your time fcrse you only have 1 toilet) Food was great (breakfast); Available shuttle just ask the front desk; very helpful staff; clean; affordable. Good job Onetel, Will surely book again!

Clean, cosy hotel with a great location ”

Location, cleanliness and value for money

This is my fourth stay at Paradise Hotel, Taipei and that tells a lot about how much I like staying here. The room rates are reasonable, the location is great, tucked away in a quiet corner, just a street away from Ximending, Fei Tian Ma La steamboat is just next to the hotel, there's also a Japanese Shabu Shabu restaurant next to Fei Tian, across the hotel is a Japanese Charcoal Grilled restaurant. There are also 3 convenience stores just a stone's throw away from the hotel. The hotel rooms are very cosy and their television is equipped with tons of cable channels. Only downside for this hotel is that you need to be physically down at the hotel lobby to have access to their free wi-fi.

Great location with excellent service ”

Service from the hotel staff, hotel accomodation and room, basic amendities, great location, great value

We arrived around evening on 22nd Jan 2011. We were able to check into our room almost immediate. When we asked the reception staff on how to go to Ximending, he actually gave us a map and guided us on where to turn. On top of that, he also gave us a guided tour leaflet for us to consider to join in the tour. Great location of the hotel at the heart of ximending, easily accesible to any place. On the third day, we almost used up our money and we went to change at the hotel reception. The staff actually told us to change from the bank as the bank has a better exchange rate. To that, I really appreciate their excellent service as they put themselves in our shoe by helping us save money. The room was very comfortable with extra pillow and blanket that not all hotel provide. I will go back to stay in this hotel again.

The hotel was centrally located at the center of Ximending. Near the Ximending station (5mins walk). The breakfast buffet was good. With quite a few selection of food. The staff were nice and accommodating. Will recommend to any first time travelers in Taipei.

does the job”

OneTel does the job if you are looking for a decent hotel in Taipei. Very convenient location just near Ximen Square and Red House downtown. Comfortable beds, but both my friend and i got some bug bites. Breakfast can be improved. We stayed for 2 nights and each breakfast, there was just 1 protein dish which was either a meat stir-fry or deep-fried. no eggs!

Decent Hotel with simple rooms”

location of the hotel is near to xmd shopping district

went to a trip recently with my family to taipei and we chose to book paradise hotel as the price is relatively cheap and the location is good as it is near to the xi men ding shopping district. we were given two rooms for 4 people instead of 2 room for 3 people as they ran out of rooms and offered larger rooms for us at no extra charge. that was very nice of them. the rooms are simple, plain rooms with beds, a small dressing table and a bathroom. everything inside is clean and neat. the room service are prompt. everything i need to a simple stay were there. unlike other reviewers i read about paradise hotel about having smelly and noisy rooms, i have had none of such complains. the sheets and rooms are clean and i have a very good sleep throughout the night with no disturbance. so if your aim for going taipei is to shop and eat till you drop, and not placing a heavy concern on hotel luxuries, i recommend paradise hotel for a cheap and good stay.

GYM IS NOT FREE. YOU HAVE TO SIGN FOR A PACKAGE.”

Cleanliness, Location and value for Price.

Firstly, I would like to share about about the gym. Don't get deceived by the gym facility from the hotel. The gym is operated by external party and rented a place at the hotel. So therefore, the hotel did not own the gym but it is part of the facility of the hotel. You have to pay to use the gym. No details or information provided by the staff and was told me check out the price myself. The hotel room is very clean and tidy. I really enjoy my stay in this hotel. location is at the heart of Ximending.

I stayed here for 3 nights, no complaints at all about the hotel. I would definately stay here again if I was in Taipei again. The staff were all friendly, even the maids were friendly. Happy to receive clients, which was perfect. The rooms are not new, but still are clean, and the duvets on the beds are very comfy. Very comfy beds!! Cable TV and good enough bathroom also. Free water also.

most of the shops and many convi stalls are a stone throw away. fresh fruits just right opposite the main door of the hotel. main rail station is within walking distance. nice hotel facade and easily recognized as land mark. hotel facilities are sufficient and clean. wifi service reachable at the lobby only might be a little inconvenient. other than that is an excellent stay. will book the same hotel when we go to taipei again.

Location, comfy beds, good service staff
Noise of other patrons, too cold temperature of room

Hotel is located just across the street from the bustling Xi Men Ding. Worth the stay for it's low price. Only problem I had was the noise level from the adjacent rooms with the ignorant and inconsiderate younger (fellow Singaporean) patrons, of which problem was solved by a phone call to the front desk (they helped us to tell them to keep it down). Room was a bit too cold as well, even after we adjusted the temperature, but that is a minor complaint. Overall a very pleasant stay. Will definitely consider staying here again for the price and convenience.

The hotel is located at the centre of Ximending and it is quite near to walked to the MRT station. Hotel looks new as they have repainted the building recently. Althought rooms are rather small but it's okay as the rooms are clean and staff are friendly and price is reasonable.

Affordable, conveniently-located hotel”

Location

This is a simple, somewhat antiquated hotel. The location is great and guests can reach anywhere in Ximending from here. The service was a bit lacking. Upon check-in, the lady at the front desk was rude and seemed really annoyed that I didn't know my confirmation number. She was also annoyed that I didn't have my passport. I showed her my Taiwan Health Insurance ID and she asked me why I had that. Very rude. Then we decided to stay for a second night and the front desk charged my girlfriend the normal room rate. Anyway it's decent, no-frills place to stay for cheap in Ximending.

Paradise hotel for budget traveller”

reasonable price, located in downtown taipei
very few staff can speak english

the hotel is ideal for budget traveller. the price is reasonable considering its location within downtown taipei. the shopping and dinning areas are within walking distance from the hotel. our hotel booking did not include breakfast. but there are many restaurants and fast food stores nearby. there are two convenient stores that are just few steps away from the hotel. it is also very easy to get a taxi outside the hotel. but be sure you have the address in chinese because many taxi drivers do not speak english. be sure to get a hotel card at front desk.

Good Location”

Clean, Good Location

The location is in the crowded Ximending, and a 5 minutes walk to the station. Many eateries littered around the vicinity. I travel to Taiwan 2-3 times a year and I was in Taiwan for exchange and I had stayed in this hotel 2 years ago. Since it was the peak period, I did not manage to find a new hotel to stay in at an affordable price. Thus, I booked a twin room, and find the room acceptably clean and new. However the room space is barely reasonable, but on the small side (but to be fair, it is like this for most hotels in XMD) The rooms are small, meaning the occupants tend to hit the wall with their luggages and stuff alot. The soundproof isn't really good so we hear a lot of that going around. The hotel is also frequented by tour groups, and that means high human traffic on the hotel corridors in the morning. I am a nightlife person and did not enjoy aunties and uncles shouting around at 5am in the morning. The staff is also almost always occupied, so they tend to sound rude or ignorant.

Location
Hotel is somewhat rundown. Bed is as hard as the floor. All rooms are non-smoking but not so sure about that...

I stayed here on my visit to Taiwan since the price was right, about 50USD, and just about every other hotel was sold out during my stay. Location is great. 5-7 minute walk to Ximen MRT Station. Hotel is in the Ximending area, which is pretty popular with the young crowd. Think Harajuku in Tokyo. Reservation did not come with breakfast so cant comment on the food. The rooms were pretty rundown and the beds were like rocks. I have never been on a bed anywhere near that hard. Bottom line was its a budget hotel. I was out all the time and came back to sleep at night so it worked for me.

Mediocre hotel in an awesome area”

Fabulous location, helpful staff
Hotel condition is degenerating

Our stay at the Paradise hotel was ok. The value for the money was decent. Our room was small, but the bed was comfortable, and we had a corner room with two windows, which was great. For the price we paid and considering the size of the room, I think we should have gotten breakfast in the morning, but that was not included. We got to the hotel a day early, and were put in a temporary room on the 2nd floor which I would not recommend! The whole floor smelled like dust and mold. The best part about this hotel is the location. It is really close to the Ximen MRT station and the Ximending shopping area. The staff was nice, but the hotel is so big, that you dont get much personal attention. All in all a decent buy.

Staying at Paradise Hotel near XiMenDing, Taipei”

Easy access and conveniently located not too far from XiMenDing Station. Fron Desk were friendly and helpful. Hot and cold drinking water provided along corridor.
Room was small, walking space a bit too narrow. Would be better if walking space in rook is slightly more spacious. Breakfast not provided.

Overall, a very resonable hotel to stay, convenient and easy access. About 10mins walking distance to XiMenDing MRT Station. Front Desk helped in arranging for FreGo bus to Airport. Near to some restaurants such as Sukiyaki (Jap). and a steamboat (eat all you want) restaurant. A lot of eating and apparel shops along the road leading to XiMenDing station. Very near to Seven-Eleven which is just at the corner.
