great Value The place looks super nice at first glance. I think it's great value for 17€ a night. But you need to know there's little holes or cracks in the windows, there are some small termiteholes. The bathroom smells a bit damp and so do the towels. Every morning at about 4 am you hear the mosk - not waking up without earplugs was impossible. We are backpackers and found it was perfectly fine. I would definitely stay there again.

The owner Onong is a great guy. He will do anything to make you’re stay perfect. Nice cool hillside!Traditional bamboo houses, very spacious and because the place is in the hills you have a beautiful view over Tomohon. And the climate is nice and cool. Specially after staying at the Bunaken islands! Great pleace!

Value for money but cleanliness is not up to standardWe got a family room for 2 nights and it was large and spacious with hot water (a rare thing in Indonesian accommodations). The owners were accommodating with our schedules which saw us leaving very early in the day and was able to prepare breakfast for us at about 6am. The double room was dimly lit due to the bed structure blocking the light. Because of the dim lighting, not much of the room was visible, and to my horror I found out on the last day after using a torch that the area around the mirror and power point was littered with dead insects, lots of them. The kitchen was managed by only 1 person during the day and it took quite awhile to get our meals despite being the only group there. I cannot imagine the waiting duration during peak hours. The food can be a little pricey with limited options, so its best to eat out where possible. Overall Onong's place was a great value for money place to stay in Tomohon and would recommend it. Just do check the room for insects.

Ants!Onong was great and this place is what it is- in nature! As Onong will tell you :) However, there are these stinging ants all over the patio and in the rooms that are really painful if you put your hand on one and they are everywhere! They do seem to go away at night, though, which is good! This place is a bit off the main road, but we like to walk so it was no problem. Also Onong arranged for a great sunrise trek of the volcano with a local guide which was fabulous.

    Beautiful bungalows in the forest”

We had a great time at Onong's. Really nice bungalows with huge windows give you the feeling that you're sleeping in the middle of the forest instead of in a bungalow. New musquito nets. Great view onto the vulcano. The owner is laidback and friendly. Recommended stay! Thanks
