    Lovely hotel, great location”

Great location, spacious clean rooms, excellent breakfast

never been to budapest before? the opera garden is an ideal place for a first visit. it is located in the elegant area around the opera house which has lovely pedestrainsied streets full of lively cafes and is close to shops and all the sights of both the buda and pest areas. the hotel itself is a stylishly renovated apartment block with large, airey rooms (some with full kitchen), a lovely roof terrace and an excellent breakfast buffet served either in the two small breakfast rooms or in the central outdoor courtyard. the staff are polite and helpful and nothing was amiss. just a great place to stay.

    TOP NOTCH”

Wow. The Opera Garden Hotel is on my list of favorite hotels in the world (and I've stayed at a lot). Very modern, clean, friendly, and there were free snacks and sangria every day! The rooftop terrace was very relaxing. Staff was extremely accommodating and kept our luggage for us on the last day and printed my flight boarding pass. Wish I had had an extra day in Budapest just to spend the day at the hotel to utilize spa and gym services and relax!

A gem of a city centre hotel.”

The hotel is situated near the Opera House and is within walking distance of Saint Stephens Basilica and the Hungarian Parliament. The street it is located on has some lovely restaurants and bars. (not noisy). The staff at the Opera-Garden are very helpful. Virginia on reception was excellent she quickly printed off our return boarding details for flying back to the UK. I borrowed an adaptor for my mobile phone. The reception staff also booked tickets for a tour of the Parliament for me and provided a 3am wake up call. Breakfast was varied with an excellent choice of cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit, pastries, cakes, breads, cold meats, cheese and much more. Hot food can be ordered as well as bacon, eggs etc. A great choice of hot & cold drinks including smoothies. Even coffee to 'go'. The bedroom was clean & comfortable we stayed in 405 which was on the top floor and quiet. The roof top area was nice but sadly the view was just of buildings. Nothing spectacular. I would definately recommend staying at the hotel it was perfect for our 4 night stay. I would like to say thank you to everyone who made our stay a happy one.

    Nice area, large rooms

Nice hotel with convenient location just behind Opera House. Easy access to the main business and shopping districts. Quite impressed by staff and quality of service that is probably the best of all hotels I tried in Budapest so far. Newly renovated hotel with nice, quite large and cosy rooms. Good value for money too. Breakfast is good but the choice is very limnitated especially for long stay. The rest was almost perfect.

    Great room and location”

Big spacious room, great location, great breakfast

My stay at Opera Garden Hotel and Apartments was wonderful! I spent 3 nights there. My cab driver actually took me to the wrong Opera Hotel which was also near the Opera House. But a short walk later, and I was at the correct one. My room was really big and spacious and was on the corner, so I got views of both streets. The streets are quite active during dinner/after-dinner drinks. The location is great because it's right by the Opera House - really easy to orient yourself in the city. The only drawback to my stay was one of the front desk people who sold me a ticket to the hop on/hop off bus hounded me for cash for the ticket. Why can't they just add it to my room bill or at the very least, ask nicely?

'THE' Hotel to stay in Budapest”

    Location, staff, clean

We really enjoyed our stay at this nice and clean hotel in a central though quiet area of centre Budapest. Our room, superior class was a decent size and the price a good deal. Beds are comfortable although we found a bit too firm and pillows (2) a bit small and too soft in comparison to what we use at home of course. The staff were nice, polite, and welcome you every day with a smile. Really, that's one of our best hotel we stayed in this area of Europe. we'd recommend it no problem.

    Nice stay in Opera Garden”

    1) Location 2) Good value for money 3) Professional staff

The stay at Opera Garden was good. The hotel is well located and the apartment assigned to us on the 4th floor was nice. The apartment only has 1 toilet/shower for the 4 of us. Would have been ideal if it has 2 toilets. The hotel is within walking distance to the major sights.

Really gret hotel on all fronts”

Rooms, location, staff, breakfast all good

We had a great stay at this hotel. We did a lot of research into accom in Budapest and chose Pest for the more lively side. The hotel is new and modern, with a hint of history to it. The room was comfortable, the bathroom a little small, if you were to be really critical. But really fine. The breakfast was great, and being summer, you can eat out in the courtyard. Make sure to order the smoothies and omelette off the extras menu(free). Awesome way to load-up before hitting the sights of Budapest. There is also a nice roof terrace! The staff where friendly and helpful. My wife and I had a great experience at this hotel, so recommend it fully.

Great location, awesome staff, lovely hotel rooms.”

This is my favourite hotel for business and leisure. Location is great, next to the restaurants and a short 6 minute walk to the trains. View of the Basilica is a good way to start and end the day. Staff are super professional and helpful. The amenities are just nice for a business traveller. No swimming pool but they have a gym, and an outdoor(with a cover) terrace for drinks and TV that you could chill out at. Rooms are cozy and very well maintained. Breakfast is fantastic! Great way to start the day. I love their little touches. Coffee to go on your way out of the hotel, and warm sangria with cookies and macaroons when you get home after work at the lift area. Very uplifting - the notion, followed by the alcohol. Good food options next door, and quiet. They have room service, and a food-box option that is available 24 hours a day. With cooking amenities in the room, sometimes it's great to just get something simple made and a good bottle of wine to relax. The TV channels are not fabulous if you don't speak Hungarian, but who needs the TV when you're in Budapest. For the young at heart, the famous Instant ruin pub is just down the street to the right, about a 6 minute walk away. Perfect!

Could not asked for more. Staff was really helpful and booked both restaurants, spas, and taxis for us. Rooms were super modern and clean, bed was comfy and it was quiet. Sadly not at all as advertised”

Sadly our apartment (number 14), which we endured for 3 nights, was far from satisfactory. It had an extremely narrow and claustrophobic downstairs area with no room for suitcases, and most certainly uninviting to spend anytime in. The upstairs bedroom had just enough room to squeeze the bed in against the back and side wall...this meant that there was only access from one side with room for only one tiny side table. Our friends had to take our suitcases into their room otherwise we simply could not fit. I booked and payed for 4 apartments, each at exactly the same significant cost. . When you pay the premium for an apartment, you expect it to be as advertised. Number 14 is nowhere near the size you would expect and totally non functional. Their basic hotel room would have been much cheaper and significantly more serviceable. Being fully booked, they could not offer us another apartment... A massive disappointment, the worst in our 30 day stay across Europe. My first ever bad review.

Nice staff, not a bad location, reasonably priced

The highlight of this hotel is their front desk staff - very attentive and polite. The cleanliness of the hotel could be better; there was a card with comments left form previous guests which was saying they were not happy with the cleanliness of the room either. The afternoon sangria was a nice touch and breakfast in the garden on a sunny day is a pleasant addition. It's located 15 min from the main station and it's very easy to get around - public transport is not going to be a problem at all.
