Right in bukit bintang so location is great. Room was clean, we had a standard ensuite which is a nice size, there is a window but its not looking out to the street just to the inside of the building. Breakfast is good! Cereal, toast, jam fruit, tea and coffee.

Little service for a high price”
One good point; the room itself was ok, clean and quite spacious. Bad points, the light was missing some bulb and the staff didn't care (cheap saving from their part) . The bathroom was quite tiny and really uncomfortable with no pressure for the water. We asked the staff to check (they didn't do anything) and they didn't fix the light. Concerning breakfast, they are very cheap, you pay 25 $ a night for a room with "breakfast", you have toast, cereals and hot drink (no service, not even a fried egg) and you have to clean your own dishes. They should better just say they have a kitchen available.... Therefore I don't call this a breakfast and ended up eating outside. I have been to many hotel in Asia and seing what you pay and what you get they seems to be very cheap (High cost, little service, no soap or tootpaste in the bathroom). You pay for a bed to sleep only... Better to go to hotel (maybe smaller room for same price but you have real facility)

Nice place and great value for the price you paid.”
I was not able to locate the place in an instant as google maps and waze are pointing at the back of the guesthouse which doesn't have an access inside neither a signage. The place was clean and it has large spaced room. When you familiarize the are you'll realize that this guesthouse is located at the center of the city, where malls and restaurants are. There was just a problem on the lavatory, the water supposedly going to the drainage was leaking on the pipe at the bottom of the lavatory. Also, the air conditioning unit was leaking water. Maybe it was not just serviced yet and filters needs cleaning. Overall my stay with my little one in this place was good.

All night people were preparing food in the neighbouring building opposite my bedroom, making it very difficult to sleep. Hot water system did not work. Fixed initially but then no longer worked. I have stayed here many times before, but this time I was disappointed.

Clean, comfortable beds, good air con, friendly staff. Great budget option. Close to many restaurants. Don't bother with breakfast at the guesthouse unless you just want something very basic, try the curry house on the corner for delicious Roti Chanai.

Overall stay ok”
Staff is friendly & helpful, cleanliness is consider not bad, location great. Some weaknesses were that: (1)Water pressure is not strong enough make us take longer time to bath than usual. Plus we travel in group of 5 that imagine only one bathroom is available for family room. Besides, (2) the noisiness from downstair are clearly listenable which lead to cnt sleep well at midnight. But then overall stay is consider ok with reasonable price 😊

Very nice place ”
I stayed there for three nights. I liked this place. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly and told me a lot about exploring the city. For breakfast there was toast, butter, jam, bananas and coffee or tea. For me it was enough. The petrona towers are 20 min. by foot away from there and the famous food street or some bars only 3 min. I felt save in this area walking home at night. The only thing which not really worked good was hot water in the shower. The AC worked very good. But I would come back to this place.

Second visit just as great as the first ”
We've been here twice, a year apart and it was like nothing had changed which was exactly what we were hoping for! The kitchen is great to have a quick breakfast and make yourself cheap snacks. The location is great. Close to the monorail, restaurants, cafes, and 20 min walk to the towers. We will keep staying here as long as it stays like this :)

2 Nights in KL”
If you’ve never been to South East Asia before or Malaysia in particular then you may be a bit put off by the immediate neighbourhood of this guest house – but don’t be. The location is great – so central – and some of the restaurants in the immediate neighbourhood are very friendly, warm and welcoming and serve delicious, mainly Indian/South Asian dishes at reasonable prices. The one directly opposite on the corner – wish I could remember its name – also do delicious home made yoghurt and Asian desserts and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. The Orange Pekoe itself is a gem. It is scrupulously clean, well maintained, and functionally appointed – no unnecessary clutter. The private – on suite – double room that we booked was small and basic – but at least they provide 2 bedside lamps, which often hotels that charge double this rate don’t. The toilet is very small with an over toilet shower. However, as I said, everything works, it is extremely clean, and looks like it has just been decorated the day before. The breakfast is simple but hey at this price what do you expect. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the reception/lounge area is homely and welcoming. If you are on a budget – or even not – highly recommended.

location, friendly staff, comfortable
This place is great for a quick trip to Kuala Lumpur. The staff was incredibly helpful; they helped us organize our entire time there! From recommending restaurants to giving directions, they exceeded my expectations. The breakfast is nice with bananas, toast, and coffee/tea. The place is very clean and cute. The A/C is cold and the beds are comfortable. They are a 2 minute walk from Jalan Alor or Changkat Bukit Bintang. You can't beat the price for the quality and location. I would definitely stay here if I return!

A second glimpse at Orange Pekoe”
The cleanliness and very accommodating staff and location.
It was my second time at Orange Pekoe and I was not disappointed at all. They accorded us the same courtesy that we received two years ago. I just have one complaint, there a lot of Bangladeshi/Pakistani at the area beside their door, which somehow scared us. it was kinda dirty at the area beside the door. There was a digging/road repair done in the middle of the night.

Great Location ”
Location, Location, Price
Positives: Excellent Location. Its a few minutes walking distance to the Pub Strip, the eat street and the main shopping center in and around Bukit Bintang. The GoKL free shuttle rides (Purple Line) are also a few minutes walking distance on the other side. In short, a backpackers paradise. Concerns: The price of the rooms is pretty decent for this location - but the rooms are small. The major gripe would be about the toilet - its really really small, its like having a shower within a WC. If you take a bath, you would end up splashing water all over the WC, the wall and the towel rack and maybe a little water would creep below the door and into the room. The main door to the room is also not properly insulated, there were gaps between the door and the frame. With the corridor lights remaining on for the entire night, the same seeps into your room and as a result its not quite dark even when its time to sleep. We had a faulty AC during our stay - it leaked water on to the floors and flooded it. The hotel provided a bucket and towels to soak up the water. The maintenance man could only come the day after, so we had to spend an entire night listening to the sound of dripping water into a bucket and getting up in the dead of the night to empty the bucket (lest it spills onto the floor again)

Simple, Clean and Comfortable Stay”
Clean, Economy and Comfortable
I've read a lot of good reviews of this guesthouse and that made me decided to give it a try. I must say that for the price you paid, this guesthouse is really worth it. It's really very clean! You need to take off your shoes before the reception area and walk barefooted all around the guesthouse and I think that helps a lot to keep the area clean. It's about a 10 min walk to the guesthouse from Bukit Bintang Monorail Station. There are two ways to access the guesthouse from Bukit Bintang Monorail Station. Via Jalan Berangan and Jalan Angsoka is nearer but this road is a bit dark at night. Via Changkat Bukit Bintang and Jalan Nagasari is a bit longer but brighter at night as there are a lot of eateries and pubs along the road. Great B&B if you are on budget and want a clean place to stay in.

Welcoming and homely”
Staff, location, atmosphere
It was enjoyable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The common areas were homely, which gave a good atmosphere to the guest house. My room was basic, no complaints about it but no wow factor either, bathroom was a "water closet". The neighbourhood had a great atmosphere. I enjoyed my stay here and would consider staying there again.

Clean, centrally located budget hotel”
location, price, air-conditioning
If you just need somewhere to sleep, Orange Pekoe is a fantastic option. The staff is super-friendly, the common areas somewhat stylish and very clean (shared "living room" with television, a few shared computers), and the no-frills rooms outfitted with a desk, safe, and surprisingly comfortable bed. Breakfast and all-day coffee/tea is inclusive. I'd stay here again when in KL by myself, but not while traveling with my wife.
