Great Location, Great Room”
This was my second time staying at Orchard Hotel, San Francisco. This hotel is located 5 blocks away from Powel Cable Car Turn Around, walking distance to any spot within downtown San Francisco. The hotel is not a big hotel, however, its quality is second to none. Big and super comfortable bed with big bathroom. The staff was very helpful with great service mind. I do recommend this hotel and personally will be back to stay here again.

Quiet and Peaceful, in the Middle of Everything”
this hotel is great if you want to be close to union square shopping and don't mind walking a bit - it's far quieter and less crushed than some of the hotels even a few blocks further south and west. bear in mind, though, if you're taking public transportation and have luggage - the closest bart/muni station is powell, and it's a six block walk uphill through powell street pedestrian crowds crowds to get to the hotel. once you do arrive, however, the hotel is really a respite - the rooms, while small (normal for san francisco) are very comfortable and quiet, almost cocoon-like. there are actually two restaurants attached to the hotel. i think they try to provide great service, but are understaffed during busy periods which leads to some confusion. otherwise, great experience.

Trip to San Francisco for a birthday”
After touring wineries in Sonoma and Napa we needed a place to stay that was convenient to sight see. Only down side was parking. We paid to park around the corner at the Marriott since is was $59 a night and cheaper than Orchard hotel.

Excellent location”
Just couple of mins walk to union square and Chinatown. Cable car stop is just by the hotel. Check in is a breeze and so is check out. Room is clean and big, with good range of toiletries provided. There is a water dispenser for hotel guests use at the lobby. Wifi is strong at all times and Staff is friendly.

Great hotel but on hill”
the hotel is close to the shopping center, public transport. the room size is just perfect for 2 people. the staff is very helpful and nice. the only thing i do not like is that the hotel is on the hill- quite tiring walking up after finishing the shopping. definitely worth the money.

Absolutely love this hotel”
The room was big for SF, right around the corner to Chinatown, 2 blocks to union square. Is a 'green' hotel, and very clean. I will definetely stay here again and again!!

Great location but wrong room type”
When we checked in, the person at the front gave us two one-king-size bed rooms instead of reserved twin rooms. He insisted there were no twin rooms available and the room type was just a matter of a special request and not a promise. Later the front office manager admitted that it was an error on the hotel side. I would not feel like coming back to a hotel which does not commit the room type, which is one of the important features of reservation. Too bad for great location and excellent hospitality.

Great location. Close to Union Square. Staff were super friendly and room was very comfortable. Only downside was lack of food service available. In saying that, there were cafes and restaurants close by that were excellent.

Terrible option compared to all the horrible options”
We had to stay here for 6 nights after a 4 months trip in Asia because our new house wasn’t ready yet! Location is decent, nobody in the lobby to help with our luggage! They have us a room on the 2nd floor facing the street which was extremely noisy 24/7 and you can smell the garbage! The building is very old but the bathroom looked like it was recently remodeled! Toilet is too low! I grew up in SF and I was still scared walking around the area day or night ! Bottom line is for $200 a night for a so so 3 star hotel in SF isn’t a good option! The best option is to avoid the city all together! SF have been dead since the 1989 earthquake and could never recover from that! All the Chinese restaurants in Chinatown is nasty as hell! Muy buena ubicación, llegamos y nos encontramos en el Front desk gente que no habla español ni tampoco se hacían entender, pero cuando tomamos la habitación una belleza, nota de bienvenida con bombones, bata y pantuflas, cafetera expreso, todas las tardes me traían chocolates Un Lujo me hicieron sentir una princesa!!! Seguro que voy a volver a San Francisco y los vuelvo a elegir. Eso si tomaré clases de inglés

Zentral gelegen, gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis”
Saubere Zimmer und sehr gute Lage des Hotels. Gute Erreichbarkeit vom Flughafen aus mit der BART Bahn bis Powell Str. und kurzer Fußweg (allerdings bergauf) zum Hotel. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Expeditionen aufgrund der zentralen Lage. Es hält eine Cable Car direkt an der Kreuzung Powell/Bush. Nette Geste: es gab zur Begrüßung im Zimmer eine Metallwasserflasche geschenkt (deren Verschluss leider kaputt war, so dass wir sie nicht mitgenommen haben).

夕方チェックイン、翌日早朝チェックアウトの短い滞在時間でしたが、フロント、ドアマンの丁寧で感じの良いプロフェッショナルな対応に大変満足しました。ターンダウンサービスもあり、部屋は文句なしに清潔で快適。ロケーションも便利なため、短時間の滞在にも便利です。次回また利用したいです。
