The staff were awesome!”

We are a family of 4 and recently stayed at Orchard Scotts Residences for 2 weeks. The property is in a great location, a short walk from the MRT station and not far from Orchard Street. The pool area is great, a relaxed atmosphere and helpful staff. When we arrived the staff took the time to show us how everything worked and even recommended an online supermarket that delivered - we were out when the delivery was sheduled and the staff asked for our permission to enter the unit so they could put everything away for us! Once the staff found out it was our daughters birthdays, during the visit, they printed out individual cards and delivered them to our room with a family movie pass and a stuffed toy for both of them - they could not have been more lovely we were very touched by their kindness! Nothing was to much trouble for them. We were even upgraded to a bigger appartment. We had a fantastic stay - infact I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Singapore!

Perfect for a family Affair”

Great place and highly recommended if you have a large group or people to have more a home like feel. My wife and I came from the US to meet her family from Nepal to have a family vacation. There was 6 adults and two children under two. This place checked all the right boxes for our needs. We were debating between Orchard Scotts residence versus Orchard Park Suites, which was closer to Orchard Road by the same company. This was a modern place with clean amenities with a kitchen, 3 bedrooms, at least 3 bathrooms, living room and a washer and dryer. The bonus was the daily breakfast that helped us a lot. The ladies that work there are extremely sweet and helpful. Being close to the MRT was also very helpful. It was about a 10-15 minute walk to Orchard Road and 5 minutes to Newton Center for eating. The outdoor atmosphere was beautiful with lots of trees and many nice pools with depths safe enough for my little 18 months old to stand in. Overall a great place for a great price

Perfect for young families ”

Clean hotel everywhere including pool and surrounding area and breakfast room. Great effort to have an Easter egg hunt but not enough eggs. Better to have a quick one hour hunt or divide sessions by age next time. Thank you!

Great location, very central and walking distance to Newton Food Market and the Newton MRT however there is no lifts at the Newton MRT so it makes it difficult when you have a sleeping child in the pram. The hotel and facilities were exceptional and so well maintained. We really enjoyed the swimming pools, there are so many to choose from and extremely clean. Staff are so lovely and accommodating!! Breakfast is standard however there is plenty to eat!! Lovely spacious rooms and living area with washing machine and dryer which is so handy when you are on holidays and traveling light. Highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely be back!

Great service apartment for family outing”

The 5 of us stayed at the Three Bedroom Suite. The unit was huge, consists of spacious living room, dinner table, kitchen area, 3 bedroom and 2 bathroom. 1 master bedroom (with king size bed, tv, safe, and bathroom inside the room with bath tub and shower area), 1 bedroom (with queen size bed) 1 bedroom (with twin beds) 1 bathroom (with shower) The place comes with free breakfast and cleaning everyday (except on public holiday, saturday, and sunday). Smoking policy Highly encouraged to smoke inside the suite, not outside. One ashtray is provided inside the room.

Facilites were good and the continental breakfast better than expected, but inadequate seating on a couple of days with more than a dozen people waiting for seats in the small area. We asked to take food to our room, which is not normally permitted, and the lovely breakfast ladies allowed us to do so. With 4 of us staying, we were told upon check in to ask our room attendant for towels for swimming. She gave us 2, so I asked for 2 more as there were 4 of us. The next time, she said she could only give us 2 as she got into trouble for giving us 4 towels, and asked us to call management to get authorisation for the additional towels. Does management expect people to share swimming towels?? This was a very reasonable request at a 5 star establishment and an unnecessary annoyance during our stay. Other than that, its quiet, spacious and well maintained.

We stayed for 12 days. We spotted cockroaches in the living hall sofa, and in the kitchen cabinet.”

After few calls, they have attended to us to get rid of roaches. But they decided to give us service recovery with an bigger room but not as good view as the first one. We find the same problem in the upgraded room. We have reported and have also found few of them sharing the same review while we having breakfast. Other than this, we have no problem with the b'fast, location. The toilets are not well maintained.

Nice apartment and Great Pool”

enoyed our stay, it was nice to have the personal check-in in our room. pool and gym were great assets to the property. would be nice to have a bar or restaurant on site. breakfast room was also nice. property was great for my family. close to mrt and hawkers market. need to look at small maintenance issues, shower seal in main bathroom water leaked onto floor every shower. washing machine needed to be changed and window locks replaced. all that was completed very quickly when mentioned.

What I did not like was all the windows have this transparent plastic on the glass and we could not see outside , no view at all we could not see whether it was raining or not or lots of wind . Sometimes Had a feeling of being imprisoned especially when we are used to outdoor living in Mauritius

Bad experience with Breakfast”

WE BOOKED 7 DAY WITH BREAKFAST. BUT WE GOT BREAKFAST ONLY FOR 3 DAYS. WHEN WE ASK THE STAFF, THEY TOLD THAT BREAKFAST IS COMPLIMENTRY SO THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO GIVE IT ON WEEK ENDS. SO WHY DO HOTEL CHARGE FOR MEALS. NO TOILETRIES ON EACH DAYS. NO HOUSE KEEPING. WORST.

the apartment we stayed in was very clean and well maintained. the location is very convenient and very near to the famous newton hawker center. the service was excellent as our room was cleaned every single morning. the room itself was spacious.
